When we went to visit, our plane got in really late, so we decided we wanted to walk to corner store which was open 24 hours and we felt so safe! I even walked by myself late at night to get snacks. It’s very safe. But you still have to beware of your surroundings as of everywhere.

@@user-im4my8hg3d omg, I think mine's the worst. My ave hours or sleep is 3-4 hrs only because I have to study as much. And I don't study in Korea. I'm from the Philippines 😂 and mind you, my classes starts @ 6:30 am and ends @7pm then still have to self study after school hours. 😂😂😂😂😂

I have around 5 everyday, you get used to it
I always get 9-10 hours of sleep.. (In Germany we have school at 8a.m. to 2p.m. )
Well I don't even learn no wonder I get so much sleep
heol. I study at a public school so we just have half a day for school (6:00-12:30) an hour for each subject and 15 minute for break. I sleep or rest when I got home (almost 4 hours of sleep) then when I woke up I'm gonna do my take home activities/assignments for about 6 hours or more (It takes a lot of time for me since I get distracted easily and have to rest my mind cuz if not i think I'll have my brain damaged lol) then I'll sleep for 3-4 hours before preparing for school. If I study in SKorea, I don't think I'll ever survive.

11:00 to 11:15 am - short recess
11:15 to 12:25 pm - classes

This is my last year in high school and it's lockdown in India. I'm missing school so much.😢
If we had studying cubicles assigned for us in school I would get shit done instead of leaving it last minute. This is the UK though so people will just mess round -_-

KarKar MuddaPuckar I completely agree, it's like no one really cares about work and it's just so frustrating because then the teachers don't do much either. I have to do so much independent studying and it's to a point where I'm like what is the actual point of all of this.
I had 42 different subjects which 30 percent of them delivered in arabic (i'm indonesian tho, and its not even a bilingual school) at 10 grade. The tests for each semesters are about a month long. School starts at 7 am (6.45 at Monday) and ends at 3 pm. Monday to Saturday.
An hour for lunch + recess? Damn. Here in the US I try to sleep during the five minutes we get in between each class lol.

I like Korean school rules as compared to specially Indian government school rules Girls are in freedom at night also it's soo good being Inn home with parents specially Indian parents I always get scolding and nothing
When Indian government schools and their rules will change and all schools be like cbse private schools and Koreans schools are clean too we can do all sweeping and dusting in our school because school is our temple but in Indian schools there are sweepers they have some strict rules but as well as beautiful and good rules also that's why everyone is soo hard working there

Our student life usually goes like this -
1.Wake up at 6 , tuition from 7 , sometimes 7:30
2. Finish the first one at 9:30 and go to the next class by 9:40-45
3. That finishes at 11 , then go to school
4. Enter school by 11:15
5. Keep your bags and come down for assembly ( I hv to get down first because I'm the assembly co ordinator and the class rep so it's not like you need to get down the second u go up )
6. Go back up , class starts at 12, first class 40 mins
7. Second class for 40 mins again
8 third will be 35 mins ( fav period of mine lol )
9. Then u hv lunch for 30 mins ( we get like 15 mins , the third class is always extended to the lunch time but whatever)
10. Next class starts And it'll be if 40 mins
11. One more
12. One more
13. Last one
14. Now theres gonna be all the official stuff done for the next day , announcements, if there's any form , distribution of that blah blah blah whatever
15. Then usually we leave but I stay back at times to get some work done and all .
16. Now we go directly to a tuition that starts at around 5:30
17. Finish that at 7:30 and go for one more at 8
18. Finish that at 10 and come back home
19. Eat something, then study again
20. Finally crash at around 4 in the morning
Some rules -
1. No electronics whatsoever, not even an analog watch till cl 9
2. Specific uniform and not a hair outside that
3. Hair for girls omg
4. Specs should be blue or black
5. No nail polish
6. U. Can . Not. Simply. Leave . Your. Class. At. Any. Point. In. The. Day. not. Even. Recess
7. Not allowed to leave campus under any circumstance
8. You can't enter the rooftop or the co ordinators office
9. Music room is out of reach of u aren't practicing
10. Library accessible only 1 hr before school and 1 hr after
[ Exceptions are there for student council but the consequences are crazy if u misuse your powers ]

This video is awesome, super informative and entertaining. I get kind of scared thinking of South Korean schools because of all the stories (severe bullying, suicides, horrible academic stress), many of which are similar to my life in an underfunded American school, but it’s nice to see that there’s still a lot of normal teenaged life being lived in your schools. I watched this video as part of my research so I could accurately depict the life of a Korean student, especially schedule/culture wise, and this was a very casual and laid back video that felt accurate asf. Thanks ❤️

I'm Korean and living in Korea as student actually suck. I'm 14 years old and I so to school at 8, come home at 4pm, do my academy homework, go to academy at 5pm come home at 10pm do my homework until 12am and goes to sleep. But actually I'm one of the most not studying student. Most of my friends sleep at 2am or 3am and wakes up at 6am. And I'm only 14 years old. My private lesson teacher (She's a student from seoul university which is the best university in korea) told me that she slept only 1hour or half an hour when she was in highschool :(
They are given a break after every class because schools know continuous classes don't go in head.
And then comes our Indian System.
They study for 14 hrs in schools

In my country, Sri Lanka, the Government schools dont even allow phones in the school. we can get suspended or expelled if we bring one. If accidentally brought we must inform teachers. make up is not allowded at all.

wtf.... they actually learn the language? They are good at English while I can't even have a small french conversation and I've been learning it for 3 years. I wish school would provide lessons for pupils who actually want to learn the language or let people choose whether they want to actually learn the language or have french lessons.

KarKar MuddaPuckar In the Philippines, English is a major subject. Our school mandates us to speak english especially when speaking to teachers. Because of this, it helps us with our english. 😊

English is an important part of school education in most countries :P In America, since (mostly) everyone already knows it, other languages are secondary and not as important (although 1-2 years of taking a foreign language is required to graduate in most US high schools).

I love how the Korean School culture is. In my country, the rules are so so strict. We can't take our phones with us, we have only one break and it's of 20-25 minutes only, on which we have to eat lunch. 😭💜 You guys are so lucky lol

In India, we are not allowed to bring our phones to school. I think Indian schools are much different from other schools in different countries.
@Rusitha Kumar Being an Indian and studying in Indian school, our school students are allowed to bring phones. They can keep their phone silent or in vibrate mood. They can also access the phone during school hours. But not when a class is going on. They can also keep the phone on desks and let the teacher see it.

In our country's school not allow makeup, style and phone. If do makeup, hairstyle and carrying phone then you will be suspend in school.
In India, we don't study that long in schools. School starts at 7.30 am (summer) and at 8 am(winter). By 3 pm almost every school gets over except for day boarders. Boarding schools have different management systems. Every state has a different set of rules. Almost every school in India has English as its primary language. In India, people speak different languages in different parts of the country. That's why most subjects are in English. But, Some schools have subjects in other languages too. Indian schools are just the opposite of Korean schools. Earlier, we too had a system of education through 'Gurukuls' which disappeared because of the modern mindset. Now, slowly we're going back to our roots.

There are several places where phones are allowed. Even though there is a school phone, we should be able to make calls for any emergencies. But it makes sense why phones aren’t allowed since many students use it for bad reasons.
