I have the Magic Speed 4 and it's a shoe that keeps me smiling on fast days. Like you said when you pick up the pace it really comes alive. I used them on a 14K race recently and have nothing bad to say about them. They're light, comfortable, and fast. They do however need a good break-in period. They did feel way too firm at the start but after around 25 miles they felt like a super bouncy comfortable trainer!
Great job. Keep emphasizing the use for shoes in your videos and comparable shoes. With so many models people could get confused or overloaded and pick something that isn’t for the type of running the use does normally.
@@Jhanke999 We’re so spoiled for choice with running shoes, I feel like people could watch 1000 shoe videos and still not pick the best shoe for them! 🤣

I have the Asics Magic Speed 4 and its an amazingly fast shoe. It feel stiff initially but after a couple of short runs it feels soft and bouncy and quite fast too. In fact I might prefer Asics Magic Speed 4 for 10k races and HM also. It is fast becoming my favorite shoe for speed workouts and I will race in it too.
Admittedly, I'm partial to the MS4 because it's a great training partner for my SkyP. Having said that, I like the Hyperion Max 1 for 10Ks, and would consider the HM2 when the HM1 reaches end-of-life. Thanks, Matt.
I was a big fan of the Hyperion Max last year and when it comes time for you to buy the Hyperion Max 2, you should also look at the Hyperion 2 (I have a review you can watch). The Hyperion 2 is more like an upgrade to the original Hyperion Max and the Hyperion Max 2 is a totally new shoe.
FYI: According to Doctors of Running podcast, the Brooks employee told that DNA Flash v2 is a supercritical TPEE+EVA blend. Addition of TPEE has improved the energy return over previous version.
I just tried on the Mach X2 and ran around outside the running shop. Great feel underfoot, but that heel counter design was just not going to work for me.
I got the Hoka MX2 for £135 in the UK and first impressions are it’s better than my old favourite Saucony pro3. Also love the Hoka Mach 6 as well Hoka appears to be better value in the UK compared to Saucony which are getting a bit expensive recently.
@@Neilveg Glad to hear you’re a fan of the MX2. If people can deal with the slightly loose heel, I think it’s an epic shoe! If you can get good Hoka shoes at a better price, Saucony will have to make some changes. It looks like you win either way!
@@MiracleWarriors I haven’t got to run in the Rebellion Flash 2. Still, with my experience in the first Rebellion Flash, I would say v2 would be the better oprion at 5/10k!

I think the Hoka Mach X2 is a little faster, but if i'm going to be running for hours I want the heel protection the Brooks gives.

Got the Hyperion Max 2 at a discount for $140, up until then I was a HOKA purist. Love them for speed work during cross country, although running in uneven grass in the HM2s can be unstable. I catch myself reaching for the HM2s when I should be wearing my HOKA Challenger 7s for long runs lmao.
I wouldn't have thought the Hyperion Max 2 would work well off-road and although they're a little unstable, I'm not surprised you're liking them! They are a solid shoe! You're probably going to want to switch back to the Challenger 7s if the grass is wet or muddy! 🤣
