I'm with them on the Cielo X 1!! I have two pair and love that shoe for my daily runs!! The cushion and bounce make it a fun shoe!! Plus love that aggressive rocker!!!
I ran my first solo 50K in Ceilo X1, it was a blast, the bounce just kept me going in the last 10K. For me, I pick Ceilo X1 is my shoes of the yr. I have AF3, Sky Paris and Edge Paris, X strung 2, SB2, my feet just love the Ceilo.
@SirThomas1212 how is the Cielo bounce compared to the Prime X bounce? I have the PX1 and love the bounce, but it's too unstable, and it gives me blisters
@ron9338 the bounce is similar to the Strung 1 with more stability. The Strung 2 is firmer, less bounce but definitely the stability much better than version 1. I hope it helps.
Could never do the alpha fly, just for the sound. Having done my first marathon this fall, it sounded like a herd of horses every time someone was running in them.
@ I’m not sure what studies you are referencing, but slower runners don’t get the performance boost that elite runners do. More like 1%, if that. Yes they help, but most “slow” runners benefit more from comfort and fit, than plates and super foams. I’m glad you love the shoe, and it works for you. On race day, run what gives you that mental edge. But placebo effect is a thing. I’m sure you’d run just as fast in an adios 4, or any other top end shoe.
@@patiogreen9738 Certain shoes are just going to be more effective for some people. I know plenty of non-elites who've paid for lab testing and they've learned certain shoes will be more efficient for them versus others, even up to that 4% you're poo-pooing. While I get AF3 didn't work for you (and I know plenty of people who are in this camp), please don't think "oh it doesn't matter, it's all placebo!" It's incredibly ignorant.
@@jimoconnor8597the time benefit for comfort and fit is immense. I saw a few people walking in socks and holding their super shoes in my marathon. I’m guessing that didn’t help their time. I'm surprised they haven't jacked the price to up to $300 because they could and they'd still sell. I just got a pair in Australia because they did a new colour way drop. Glad the Brooks Glycerin Max was rated in the max cushion category. I’ve really enjoyed running in it and am looking to increase my distances in the new year wearing this shoe.
That’s so crazy. I got them this week and REALLYYY wanted to love them but kept feeling like my heel was sinking further and further down. I’ve had ankle pain for a few days now because of it :/
Love my Mizuno Neo Vista and have run 3 marathons in them this year. Ran some marathons in my NB SC Elite v.4 as well, but opted to wear the NV at CIM. I am not a sub-3 or 4 marathoner, as I am older, but managed a BQ in these. I most definitely am shocked about the pick of the Saucony Endorphin Speed 4 as a "do it all" shoe. I can't imagine running anything but short uptempo workouts in them. Not my favorite. I would like to try the Zoomfly 6. Thanks for your opinions.
I find the neo vista too soft for anything faster than marathon pace. ES4 feels good at any pace for me but not the NV. Superblast 2 can also do just about everything. I race in super shoes though.
I was watching and thought you were going to pass over the Mach X2. I've tried a lot of shoes here but that one even over Cielo x was by far the best i keep going for. Way ahead of zoom fly 6 which i have as well. The fit worked for me. The New version looks incredible. All paces it worked too. One of or the best shoe I've used ever. Another shoe I think that may be underrated by most and forgotten about by you and others is the New Balance pacer v2. I definitely would've put the Mach 6 there, but my other underrated one would be the Ride 17. Never tried the Neo Vista, though, since I couldn't find them for sale in my very common shoe size, even at regular retail price.

I was super surprised myself. 92kg
Did the cameraman fall at 10.28?
I’ve been super lucky I guess with the superblast 2’s. Halfway through my third pair and still have two in the box. Never thought I’d like it, like I did considering I was running the endorphin 4’s. But haven’t looked back. But it is just a shoe
The Cielo is just the perfect shoe, the pound for pound king of 2024. Skyward is fine, as well, but doesn't come close.
*Superblast 2...best for big guys with not too big feet (no 14 or 15 :'( )
You can’t pick a big guy shoe that doesn’t come in big guy sizes. Only size 13 for the super blast just isn’t enough.
Yes, tell that to Andy, FOD runner. Same problem!
its Novablast 4 all the way.
2025 Adi pro 4 coming in hot…
SL2 85€ ;)
Got it during Black Friday for 52,50 €. No-Brainer.
7:46 shouldn’t a $275 shoe be perfect if you’re going to really recommend it? It’s always felt like there was some fear panning this shoe as a horrible value out of respect to the brand.
Q: how do we recognize more brands?
A: Fit & Function
wait, no "best speed workout shoe?"
The deviate nitro 3 and endorphin speed 4 are in the daily / do it all trainer categories
