Dig it. Most trusted reviewer on 'ere in my view, Edd-to-the-bud. Zoom fly 6 three years too late, wanted this in 2021. Not got room for 'em now, the cupboard's full!!!
Great vid as always Edd. I may have to try out the Nike then, but my favourite plated super trainer is.....the Cielo X1!! Bet ya didn't see that coming..........
I purchased yesterday as soon as I tried on. I ran about three miles at threshold paces and your review is exactly what I felt. I have the EK Kipchoge color. Banger here in the USA as well 170 Earth credits…
Algorithm fighter! The Saucony speed 4 has been my go to and favorite shoe this year but seeing the Tyr Valkyrie Speedworks on discount I had to order a pair. Can’t wait for them to arrive and try them out.
I am really glad the “elf heel” concept is back! It’s the only configuration that doesn’t cause me rubbing on the back of my feet. I had a lot of troubles lately, especially with Adidas adizero models 😢
I'll go for the Mach X 2 because that's the only one that I've run in. Apart from it's constant desire to chew your ankles, the X2 is a joy to run in. 👍
I really like the fact that ZF6 has a proper heel counter and good rubber coverage (especially in the heel). They were able to put together a very competitive shoe at a good value. I think Adidas SL2 at the lower end now Nike ZF6 at a higher end might be the best values this year!
Well turn up for the books - a Nike shoe that it isn’t a racing shoe being considered best in its class. Usually I find other reviewers will be very keen to say everything else is better! Sold out in my UK 13 now in black or the white but surely bound to be in plentiful supply before long and maybe also where we can more easily get say 15% discount. Not in a rush anyway as am in Portugal this week. One shoe now that seems a bit of a curveball here is the Peg Plus and fraction more expensive. The Peg Turbos always were way lighter than the Zoom Fly. Now seems about the same. Probably also the SL2, Evo SL & Mach 6 will be in a similar conversation even if they are not plated - still fairly lightweight do it all type shoes. Maybe do a comparison with them as well ?
hard to give a comparison personally until have also tried this ZF6. I was wearing my Peg Plus today for a fairly easy 5 miles or so. They are effectively a lightweight daily trainer and very flexible as have no plate nor other real stiffening features. They are also relatively low stack by modern standards and find them fairly good fund as a result and the ZoomX midsole gives a decent amount of cushioning but, somewhat surprisingly, not feeling mushy. As such it seems the ZF6 is different due to the plate and higher stack. Why the Peg Plus is more expensive is unclear as they seem somewhat similar but equally one assumes a somewhat different ride experience.
Pretty sold on the Zoom Fly 6 looking at the stats, foam, fit etc. I've been rocking the Magic Speed 4 which i smashed my 1000m record in the other day. I think the Zoom Fly 6 could be a nice replacement if i wanted some more flavour to my Asics shoe collection monopoly.
Wow! It beats Saucony ES4?! Thats saying something! That's really surprising! But I trust you, Edd. You are the honest one! I am curious to try this zoomfly! ❤

Speed 4 is great but the cosmetic quantity is poor. Stickers came off at around 20 miles, obviously doesn’t effect it’s use.
I agree it’s better than many others I tried. But it’s not as fast as the Tempo next% in my experience on the trail nor on the track.

Not as aggressive as the tempo next
