I think I'm one of the minority who is more excited about the Hyperion 2. I really liked the Hyperion Max and this one seems really similar except for the new foam, better upper, and less aggressive heel bevel.

I've worn both a good bit. For those that are wondering, (to me) the Hyperion 2 (NOT Max) feels VERY much like the OG/last year's Max, but a tad softer (although still fairly firm), with a better upper, better lacing system (offset), and partially gusseted tongue. The Max 2 feels quite different from the OG/last year's Max.

I think I’m gonna go with the GTS version of the Hyperion 2 for my 5K races. I love the lightweight and GTS guidance.

Thank you for the reviews! I'm leaning towards the Hyperion 2 at this point since it sounds like a good replacement for my Topo Cyclone 2. As much as I like the Topo Cyclone 2, there isn't much of an outsole and after at 130+ miles, I've worn down most of the lateral side from one of the shoes. The outsole on the Hyperion 2 should definitely last longer.

How close to the original Hyperion Max is the new Hyperion? I love the first version of max

The Brooks rep on one of the other channels i've seen has stated that the Hyperion 2's are going to essentially copy the previous Hyperion Max model. If you put them side, to side, they're not too different. The Hyperion Max 2 is going to be Brooks super trainer line hence the plate.
From my experience, they feel very similar. Main difference is the upper but overall it felt great. The Hyperion 2's had good ground feel and they're very light just like the 1st version of the Max. I love the colorways and design of the shoe as well.

I liked the OG Hyperion Max much more than the Hyperion Tempo/OG Hyperion, but I’m disappointed that they beefed it up and added a plate. With the new midsole compound, I think the Hyperion 2 will be a better option for me and will fill the role of the OG Hyperion Max…maybe even better so.

Got several pairs of Hyperion Max and love them. My first thought was to have Hyperion 2 for fast runs and competition and Max 2 for long runs, but haven't tried them yet :)

Mais combien de kilomètres essayez-vous les chaussures ? Les Hyperion Max 2 ont tout de même plusieurs défauts notables qui me semblent déjà insupportables après moins de100 kilomètres. D'abord cette plaque asymétrique dont l'aile ne ressort que du côté extérieur du pied, ce qui accentue énormément la pronation. C'est raté. Ou c'est une chaussure pour supinateur et le minimum est de communiquer sur cela ( 180 dollars !!) ou même chez Brooks ils n'essaient les chaussures que quelques dizaines de kilomètres avant de les mettre sur le marché. Ensuite, il y a aussi cette semelle qui remonte sur le chausson en nous imposant un rail de guidage comparable aux modèles GTS. A tous les égards, la Hypérion 2, pour un prix moindre, est bien supérieure. Elle laisse le pied libre et bien en ligne même pour mon pied de pronateur. Le système GTS ne fonctionne pas, il ne guide pas le pied, il le contraint. Il suffit d'essayer les 2 modèles pour se rendre à cette évidence. Enfin, après 2 modèles déficients, je me demande à quoi joue Brooks avec ce modèle Hypérion Max 2 ? La première version était déjà bâclée : il ne suffit pas de retirer une plaque de carbone pour créer une nouvelle chaussure et ce second modèle, pour moi raté, leur permettra au nombre de chaussures renvoyées le premier mois, de se rendre compte de leur erreur. Pour 150 euros (ici en France) la Hypérion 2 la dépasse largement et la rend tout simplement caduque et inutile. C'est joli de vouloir créer une gamme avec 3 chaussures qui portent le même nom, encore faudrait-il que chacune d'entre elles ait une réelle utilité.
