  • A quick step-by-step guide on how to mount a Pelican case on a Prinsu roof rack on your Toyota Tacoma. Honestly, doing something similar to this will work on just about any roof rack with slotted crossbars. This is mounted on my 2014 2nd Gen Toyota Tacoma TRD Off-Road. I used the Apache 9800 Weatherproof Protective Rifle Case from Harbor Freight, since it's a cheaper option at only around $165 USD unless you find it on sale for even less!

    Thank you for making the installation process so simple. Explained what you were doing. Took but a few seconds to show how you were going to transition cross bar slot to box. Hardware was straight forward. Drilled then installed and boom done! Thank you so much! I’m doing your process for sure! No one else stated what hardware they used so thank you to that.

      Thanks! I hope it was helpful for installing your own rooftop pelican case! i know I always run around Home Depot trying to find the right hardware, so hopefully this helps save someone time. Appreciate the sub, i gotta start making more vids for this channel.

    Hey brother, hows the prinsu rack for you? Hows the windnoise? I have the oem roof rails and the wind noise is ridiculous when in use mode

    Could I use wing bolts for easy installation and removal?

    • @chadwinoutside

      Yes, you could definitely do that if you get the right size matching wing bolts! That's what I should do still, cause I don't like always having it on top anymore. It's a lot of wind resistance and effecting my MPG.

    What lightbar and roof rack are you using on top?

    • @chadwinoutside
      @chadwinoutside  ปีที่แล้ว

      it's a Prinsu roof rack designed specifically for the Toyota Tacoma. The light bar was actually a really affordable one I got off amazon called Rigidhorse. geni.us/rigidlightbar

    What wheels/tires are you running?

    • @chadwinoutside
      @chadwinoutside  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      They're 17" Icon Alloy wheels and Falcon Wildpeak tires 285/70/17 weight load E. They're great tires, but they definitely lowered my MPG cause they're so heavy. I love the look of 33's though!
