    Well since you haven't heard much of Babymetal with just a piano, in that case its about time you checked out Akatsuki and then take a look at Akatsuki Unfinished, which is basically Akatsuki but with only Su and a Piano..... Babymetal has done a few stripped down versions of their songs, but its usually a one time thing for special occassions. They did it with The One and No Rain No Rainbow too... sorta. Have fun exploring.🤘🦊🤘

      @Off The Cuff Reviews they have performed a piano version of Akatsuki as far back as 2013. No Rain No Rainbow is also a bit of a ballad. Suzuka Nakamoto did solos with piano from the age of 8. They are on TH-cam. When she was with Acting School of Hiroshima. This is probably nostalgic for her :)

    There's a live version of Monochrome from the Wowow broadcast of the January concert. It's on the Babymetal Reactors Resource. The version with an overlay for uploading to YT is on the channel, and the clean version for you to watch is a link in the description.
    They have a couple piano versions of songs, Akatsuki Unfinished version, and The One Stairway to Living Legend.

    Thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。[FYI : In the electric version of this song at the Yokohama venue on April 2, the audience (including me) sang that ♪ oh oh ohoo ♪ part with Moametal and Momometal, new official 3rd girl, while Su humming the melody in the sea of phone lights. What a bliss! ]
    The girls proved that they can do anything. They have forced people to headbang with their heavy music and sharp choreo. Now they can depict various images by just singing and project them into the listeners' brain to move people emotionally. Thank you BABYMETAL. And thank you Koba, the BM producer, for your serendipity. Some 13 years ago, you certainly discovered something amazing and sacred for us.
    Speaking of the three figures in white hood adding some background vocals, they are certainly homage to BM's girlhood with original three girls.

    Nice reaction. You just witnessed a minor miracle. Su and Moa standing still while singing. Babymetal doing this while performing is utterly amazing. We get so use to them dancing around the stage. To see this. WoW. We've seen Su try to stand still while singing. Akatsuki and No Rain No Rainbow. But Moa. Never have I seen this before. And for both of them to be standing still. amazing. I wonder did they have to tie down their feet. Su started to move her upper body by the end of the song. Old habits die hard, I guess. A truly moving performance. Showing once again Babymetal is everything you want in music and somethings you didn't know you needed. This is the way.

    It's said, in hundreds of performances, that Queen Su never makes a mistake. She is, contrary to popular opinion, a real human being and as so, must make them, but it's extreemly rare. It's doesn't hurt she has been wowing w/ her voice for a long time.
    Here, at 12 years of age, she shows the same poise and directness (and the same gentle rocking motion and Mona Lisa smile) that serves her so well;

      @@offthecufff The more you listen to the songs, the more you recognize the mistakes, ie losing the note a bit early, or it being a bit too breathy.

      She does do mistakes. It is rare, but there are times when she does something by accident. Not sure about vocally, but there are youtube videos showing where she slips and almost falls, she almost walks off the end of the stage while walking backwards while singing and things like that. So yes she does do them, but to my knowledge, never vocal slips ( *knocks on wood* ). That being said, all these songs that Babymetal sings are pretty much like muscle memory for these girls I'm pretty sure. I'm pretty sure Babymetal does a lot more touring than most bands. They have only ever taken 1 break in the over 10 years they've been around, which was just very recent. So they have a routine I think. When you follow the same routine over and over again, it gets difficult to make a mistake. I'm not trying to take anything away from these amazing girls, just that they are obvious professionals and know what they're doing and they have a system in place to make things as smooth and easy as possible for them I'm sure.

    • @Tyyppl
      @Tyyppl ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@jeremyboynowski3784 If you listen to fancams she does do vocal slip ups too (she is human afterall) those are just ironed out when they post process the blurays but I wish they left those small slip ups in since it makes the performance more "raw" in my opinion.

    • @jeremyboynowski3784
      @jeremyboynowski3784 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Tyyppl That would be awesome to see! I'd love to see her expression when she slips, to see if she doesn't care and just continues or if she gets a little pissed at herself for slipping up! Especially since she's such a perfectionist when it comes to performing! lol

    Well done.
    I have seen the LIVE Pro Shot video of this song from the 2nd night of the back to back sold out concerts in Tokyo recently. At a break in the song Suzuka asks the audience to “Take out you phone!” And “Turn on your light!” She then says “That’s amazing!” “Looks like stars!” She then begins to hum the lyrics with 20,000 lights surrounding the stage. Mesmerizing.

    Do you know what's Su's favorite hobby? Karaoke. I know, it sounds almost unfair 😁
    She has a really powerful voice and a great control and she has worked for years just to be this good. So it's a mix between being naturally gifted, technique, learning and practice... a lot of practice!

  • @jonadabtheunsightly

    One of the things that separates good music from mediocre music, is that good music can be taken across genre lines, and it still works. If a piano concerto is good, it can be adapted for strings and it still works. If a hymn is musically good, it can be done as barbershop or doo-wop and still works. If a metal song is good, it can be done with just piano and clean vocals, and it still works.
    Whereas, if you try to take, say, a Lou Bega song and do it as jazz, the mediocre nature of the original song becomes readily apparent.
