1996-98 Jeep Grand Cherokee Transfer Case Replacement

Hey everyone! This is a transfer case replacement on a 96 Grand Cherokee. Please make sure you double check your transfer case model number and match it before swapping. Some take ATF some Gear oil. please make sure you check with your manufacture.

How do you know which transfer case your vehicle has? I have a 1996 Jeep grand Cherokee 4.0 4x4 and my transfer case broke. I have some numbers but I haven’t been able to find which transfer case I need for my car. Any help is appreciated thank you.
