Man, they'll say anything to make a buck these days. Cleaning now costs over a thousand dollars? Ugh. They were going to replace everything on the ass end of the car and it didn't need that. It's good to know that there are still SOME honest mechanics out there. I keep buying older cars so I can fix them myself because of just this kind of highway robbery. I don't want to risk taking a car to a shop and then tearing it apart and saying it's gonna cost me the price of a decent travel trailer to fix it, when it really didn't need much to get it right in the first place.

Crazy, even if you have to replace them its just drum shoes, under 100$ in parts and 1 hour max for both sides.
