I know people aren’t fans of things like this and kipchoges optimized marathon distance, but it’s cool to see what a human can do in these three events with perfect conditions and performance
@@aaronlaughlin2389 I agree to a point...but using the bike segment as a team time trial just makes for way too many variables for it to be a real record in my opinion. Hardly anyone else on the planet will even attempt it this way.....so it makes it pretty pointless and redundant.
Magnus Ditlev from Denmark has the fastest ironman time in a real race from the Roth ironman in 2023, his time was 7:24:40 (46:47 swim, course record 3:57:45 bike split and a 2:37:09 marathon)
@@dsd6538 yea since when did analyzing conditions come into play? You do know some years it’s neutral wind at Kona out and tailwind back. Are we going to have sensors all over the courses to determine valid conditions? This is not how Ironman works
That is one very easy way to ride 180km at 52kph.....of course he smashes the record doing it like this😅 The cycling segment alone would have saved him at least 45 minutes and saved energy on top of that. Silly record really as it is mostly depending on how good your cycling team mates are. You could get the 50th ranked triathlete in the world to beat this time if they had 6 tour de france cyclists to help them for 180km.
Like you even could complete this in a week. Sitting behind a screen and typing is easy putting in the work and making friends that takes skills and I don’t think you have any skills in making friendships or working hard
Shouldn't he be disqualified as Ironman events are draft-illegal and it is stated clearly in the rules and also any gear has to be left with a box, others are not allowed to assist otherwise time penalties are applied
No, he didn't - it was Not regular Triathlon - anybody knows, only with very Special Help He did "something" in less than 7 hours, mainly Team Time Trial in cycling brought the opportunity to Finish early. It was even Not Close to a regular Ironman or regular Long Distance Triathlon. Stay honest please. Regular SUB 7 is still a big Challenge. It will come some day, Christian Blumenfeld is far away those days. So the topic is clearly a ly.
check your piss first mate, have u even done one of the three segments in an ironman or do u even touch grass or are you writing this comment in your chips incrusted semen keyboard
I realise he's fit af but it still weirds me out seeing someone who looks fat competing at this level vs the other athletes I see doing the same amount of training looking lean af.
He is Not fat at all. His Lungth and heart is just way bigger than average. That is why he Looks so big at the Upper Body. It is a very big advantage of him though.
This is what a functional body at an elite level looks like. Instagram is confusing people with skewed body ideals. Low percentage body fat and vein popping muscles won’t get you very far concerning physical performance.

The bike should of been individual, team time trial is crazy he’s free wheeling at 55kmph
That bicycle costs more than my life
Still wont be able to keep UP the distance 20km
😂😂😂
Don't be so hard on yourself... You'd be surprised what your organs are worth on the black market.
It's an amazing record in team time trial triathlon but far from anything comparable to a competition.
Funny how they placed him last in the bike TTT when he would have had less air resistance in second to last place...
doesnt it keep it simpler for rotating the paceline if he isn't in the way?

Unbelievable !
Wish they didn’t have draft on bike kinda ruins it for me. But rest is cool
Correct but the swim he was drafting! Also didn't need the cap during swim to keep cooler if that makes sense to you too.
Ich bin echt gespannt auf Hawaii und was dort dann geliefert wird von den Athleten

Silly what's next drafting behind a Mac Truck @ 51 mph . Doesn't take away from the beast of a athlete he is though.
Can’t say I’m a fan of this, not real IM, all assisted.
I tend to agree mate, but a cool experiment none the less.
True. Drafting on the bike... you safe huuuge watts
Who cares. Not a single person commenting on this video can do anything close to that performance so it's impressive af.
Joe Skipper was only 3 minutes slower in the same "race", so this shouldn't be hyped as much
