- It was a desperate rescue attempt as first responders tried to save a family of eight trapped in their car. In body cam footage obtained by Inside Edition, you can hear sirens in the background and the children screaming for help. The Owen family was returning from a camping trip in Sulphur Springs, Texas when dad lost control of the trailer they were towing filled with camping gear. By some miracle, all six children survived. #InsideEdition

I personally knew this sweet family. I was heartbroken after recieving the news about the parents. I was actually told a car hit them head on before they flew off the road. But who knows. The car had started to fill with water and one of the older kids was able to pull the youngest out of the car. Such a horrible thing to go through. We still continue to pray for them.
I was holding my breath and praying that they were with family. So glad they were. God bless grandparent's .💕

I don't understand why the pickup truck tried to pass them when they could clearly see the vehicle lost control. If the pickup driver would have slowed down no one would have died.

Please people, don't tow one of those things! It is extremely dangerous. They will sway and treat your car like an F-5 tornado hit it unless it is packed in a certain way and even then the load can shift. A young woman from CA rented one for household stuff to go to school in Colorado and she is now a brain damaged vegetable cared for by her parents and nurses. The family got a settlement because the rental place didn't teach her how to load it but all the money goes for her 24-hour care.
SFV Native There should be a special license category to drive one of those things because it's practically like driving a loaded truck (and truck drivers have to obtain additional requirements compared to a regular license of driving a car).
