if he gets any older that is, mgod
the kid saying "i was screaming for a long time, but he was not listening!" made me actually cry, who could leave this precious child in the middle of a lake?
Poor kid didn’t deserve any of it :(
Attempted murder.

In the middle of the lake a child's scream would be hard to hear unless the father heard him and ignored it
@@Stary_nightwing well the guy who saved him heard. This dad was ignoring his son, let's no play dumb
That first KID that saw the child and stopped to make sure he didnt get hurt or taken is an actual HERO... His parents should be proud and that kid deserves some kind of scholarship or humanity award.
That's what I was coming down to the comments to say. He has wonderful instincts and empathy. You can see how gently he plays with the little guy during the police footage.
@@andreajacobsen9909 He for sure has a younger sibling or cousin. His instincts were so on point.
@@DaslickflipHe might, but I don’t think you need to have siblings to be such an amazing, smart and protective child. And besides, an “instinct” is defined as a natural tendency, meaning it wouldn’t matter if he had younger cousins or siblings. Don’t accredit it to that, accredit it to his character overall. He’s an extraordinary and caring young man! Thank his he was there.
He was great. But that is supposed to be a standard, the bare minimum expected of a human being. At least where I come from it is. I'm always shocked to read these comments saying that people who do good things are somehow special, implying that most people wouldn't do the same... sad.

I’m scared for that sweet little boy. His response to 911 being mentioned and his dad being drunk just rubs me the wrong way
Yeah… the way the little boy was shaken up and afraid… I really don’t like the situation, I hope he’s ok
How is that something that doesn't immediately trigger a health check? I mean, they left their kid in cold water and didn't call for rescue?
I had the same thought. He’s had 911 called on his dad before and had some sort of negative consequence because of it. Kids should not cry like that at the mention of 911.
@@christinaifyHe seemed to already know his dad was going to be in trouble.
@@miggans21012Yeah and the whole chat with him sounds so dishonest and as if he's sarcastic about thanking them. The kid probably fears that he himself will be in trouble with his dad if 911 gets involved. I wish there would be an investigation on that man
at 22:18, when the father says "you saved me a bunch of hassle." about him finding the boy, you can see the exact moment the officer behind him on the stairs notices that and realizes this guy is a horrible father.
Damn you're right. That cop looked PISSED at dude. I wonder why he didn't get arrested
Unfortunately its cause he doesnt have a whole lot of evidence to prove that in the moment, it would be considered speculation. At worst the footage of the rescue looks like an accident instead of negligence. What the father said can be seen as something he phrased poorly. Unless worse things (that thankfully didnt) happened, then they can make an arrest and possibly put in an investigation.
I still think someone should’ve reported him to CPS. In many states, a report is considered an honest attempt to help a child.
The best part is that you always see them absolutely chew neglectful mothers out but they won’t say a word to a neglectful father 🥴

Any kid that has THAT reaction to the mention of calling 911 raises red flags about the parenting.

I feel for the mother of Mateo. I’ve had a similar situation happen to me with my son when he was 2. We were sleeping in my bed and he ended up waking up and quietly slipping out of bed and figured out how to open our front door and he went out walking around our apartment complex. I woke up to check on him and when I looked over he was gone. I panicked a little because he never wakes up and just gets out of bed without me so I flew out of bed and saw my front door cracked. My heart dropped, and I mean completely dropped and I ran outside and was running up and down all over the complex screaming his name in tears. The police found him on the other end of our complex. He was gone a total of 20 min and it felt like a lifetime. It was terrifying, the worst feeling I’ve ever experienced and I don’t wish it upon any mother/father. It’s really easy for people to say “what a terrible mother for her toddler to get out of the house” or “how does that happen? Why wasn’t that mother watching her child?” But toddlers are quick and it only takes a minute for something like this to happen and it doesn’t always mean the mother is a bad parent.
im glad the both of u are okay now.
Same happened to my husband. Our oldest slipped out while he was on the toilet. The neighbor found him thank god! They are absolutely very slippery!

Something to remember: if a child doesn’t seem to care whether or not they go back to their parents, there’s a good possibility the child is neglected. A child who doesn’t want or prefer their parent’s care over a stranger’s is probably used to little to none (there is always that child that is a social butterfly- good chance the kid in the first is that cause he’s well behaved). It’s called “Disinhibited Social Engagement Disorder.”
The chances are higher if the child throws tantrums for little to no reason, like saying it’s time to go home or trying to hold their hand or pick them up (they’re used to not being stopped from what they want to do, so this is confusing- they want your attention, but they’ve may not have learned what “playtime is over” means, cause they’re always playing… probably by themselves).
Disclaimer: I went to college to be a therapist, but I do not have a degree- I left. I encourage people to always look into what I’m saying, mostly to encourage people to learn more, but possibly cause I’m human and I may misspeak/mistype something. Our children are important; what I’ve said here is something that requires more than just visual observation to determine, but it is important to keep in mind (without jumping to conclusions). If you see something, say something, but go about it the right way. There are kids involved.
omg thank you but did you copy and past that
Very interesting
@@evryonetakecoverwho cares if they did? They are literally defining/describing something. What does it matter if she didn’t put it in her own words 😂 and she may have idk I’m just saying even if she didn’t
@@ashleychildresss no hate its just long i dont think they did bc of the start
This is not factual. It is only anecdotal. It is likely that there is some truth what you're saying but I would like to point out that I was really abused by my parents growing up and I still freaked the fuck out when I was not near them. You were severely generalizing a much more complex issue and likely trying to throw the first lady under the bus even though I think it is quite obvious that she cares about her son and likely is not a shitty parent.
You are completely leaving out the fact that hell afraid of being alone a child is often depends on how afraid they've been taught to be when they are alone. Some kids also just naturally are more curious and easygoing than others especially if they are introduced to lots of different situations in a manner that isn't supposed to scare them.
18:22 I ACTUALLY THOUGHT HE WAS 7 WOW! Btw, respect to the dude in the boat for rescuing and comforting the child
I’m really happy that all the children in this video got saved but I’m especially glad that the first mother cared *so* much for her child and that she wasn’t a bad mother
Son abandoned in the river :"Gotta thank you. You saved me a bunch of hassle."
What? He saved his son's LIFE!
23:10 9-1-1 has been called on that father before and the little boy either got punished for it or was fearful he'd be taken away.
That kids dad leaving him and then the kids reaction to hearing 911 is really telling😕 I hope he’s doing okay now
Bless the fisherman and the older men for helping the boy, he handled it well with keeping the kid distracted and encouraging him to keep him calm, and sweet that the older men immediately took the boy in, got the cold shirt off him and covered him up until paramedics arrived
It’s so sweet on the 1st one they started to talk about child proof door knobs and laughing and smiling with eachother just warms my heart ❤
The guy on the kayak is a beautiful human being.
The floating child actually brought me to tears. What a strong young man and the kayak dude is very awesome. What an awesome rescue 👍👍👍👍👍
The dad who saved the stranded kid in the ocean was so nice. Not just did he save the boy, but he also tried to cheer him up on the way to shore.
On the last one I just started crying because I love how that guy was comforting her and then she was like I lost my toy. Where’s my 20s like I’ll buy you a new one what’s your name? He’s trying to comfort her just made me ball out crying I’m so sad. I’m so happy. She made it out. Alive and no injuries.😭😭😭
The lake kid got me tearing up so bad. They need to check on his family
The little boy in Deland Florida was misleading, I watched the body cam video of that just the other day and the dog lost the scent and a neighbor lady heard him crying and thought it was a cat initially but when the police were going door to door she put 2&2 together and realized what she heard was a baby crying so then they walked toward the cries with the dog.
Yea, not sure why they changed the narrative. They even discussed waiting for a different dog who specialized in manhunts( midnight specialized in drug sniffing). They kept going in circles and losing the scent. It wasn’t until the neighbor’s tip that they went anywhere close to the lost boy.
@@zayb7803 yeah and the narrarator even said in the body cam video that it was a shame that the women didn't get mentioned with helping find him.
Ha! Just wrote a similar post. I guess this TH-camr thought a cute dog story is more heartwarming than a story about a dog unable to find a small boy.
Last syrian girl broke my heart !!
She spent alot of time alone in darkness
Thanks god they rescued her & reunited her wtih family !!
May god bliss her and all kids !! 🙏🌹
Thats crazy 460,000 kids go missing a year in the USA thats a average of 1260.27 every single day!!!😢 how absolutely terrifying and the fact a screaming child can only be heard in a rough 1 mile radius is even more disturbing glad these kids were found safely and returned home❤❤
Billions of dollars a year industry
Man I couldn't even imagine with that car crash...Nick is a hero. Directing and saving lives in what seemed like a hopeless situation.
21:32 u see this guygals?, live up to these 3 dudes aight, this is good, not the part where the dad left his kid stranded, but the fact these 3 random people that have nothing to do with it helped aight, remember that
i dont know whos better. the fireman saving the 2 girls in the car accident or the random civilian finding that little boy and offering to help him get to shore and get help.
edit: TYSM FOR 100 LIKES :ddd
In MCU we have many superheroes. So all those saviors are heroes😊
There is no need to compare, they are all heroes and are the best!
I cannot believe that kid in the water went back to his family! Dad just left him. he was afraid of calling 911 and there was something wrong with that 'dad'! RED FLAGS!!!
22:50 the cameraman/rescuer just saying “yep” he was pissed
That house who immediately helped the kayaker was awesome. No questions, no hesitations, just straight there to help.
For the first one, I was happy to see that the child had parents that cared about him as there was ligitament concern in the mothers actions
17:57 I love the way he was trying to keep the boy calm by laughing and smiling with him! ❤
christ thats heart breaking "i was screaming for a long time but he was NOT listening"
23:03 what the actual hell!? He’s clearly drunk. Why would they let him go back to his dad? I feel so bad for that kid
Ikr like why poor kid the dad isn’t a good dad😭
The first mom I actually feel bad she seemed so confused when she woke up and asked why the door was open and if the cop had opened it she didn’t seem to know her kid opened the door and her immediate panic to run inside and look for him seemed genuine
How much do you want to bet that, that poor little boys dad beats and screams at him. Why else would be so terrified of 911 getting called. He even said his dad wasn't listening to him.
I don't know why but when the guy asked "You like batman?" to Mateo, I honestly giggled a bit too hard XD
2:45 stuff like this happens alot. The same thing happened to my older sister, except she was around 3 or 4 and had somehow managed her way onto the highway.
As someone with autism, he is NOT being mean!! He's nervous. Leave him alone.
Exactly, he's probably terrified and doesn't know what to say. He could also have little communication levels
Yes! I am autistic and its really hard to talk especially when stressed or scared. I hate it when people are like "why are you so mean?" "Stop ignoring me" I'M NOT!! @TaylortheBarbie13
Facts!
I’m sure bro wasn’t being mean when he assaulted that officer in Nevada too.
@@VJ29110do you know what autism is?
those poor babies! thank God (and thank rescuers) they were saved and hope they’re doing better now!
"I want my kid to be okay" That mother is deserves to be a mother. And that kid was a hero
If I remember correctly, the young man in story 3 did not want to go back home with his family.
Think so, too
I was thinking the same thing. He was gone for a reason 🫤
Think you mean story 2
Yes that's correct, alot more going on in that story.
I dont blame the poor boy. I fuckin wouldn't want to either.
The same thing happened to me when i was Mateo's age. Grandma was babysitting and plopped me in front of the tv and took a nap on the couch. The door wasn't secure because she forgot. I was able to get out and was found by the base cops (Air force base)
when he held his mom's face and kissed him - that was precious
Omg, that kayaker. The eay he was interacting with that young lad shows hes a great father to his own son 👌 what a great guy..... Props to all the people in this video who helped save those kids, massive props 🥰
