I agree, she was terrified for her life... she knew the day she was rescued that she was going to die.... don’t down play the trauma she went through by saying “only _ amount of days”... the time period doesn’t matter, it was traumatizing and shouldn’t have happened..... PERIOD
It's so messed up. I can't even press charges against the man who repeatedly sexually assaulted me as a child because, get this, the statute of limitations is 7 years in my state. Seven years after he stopped he still had complete control over me financially and since I was still a child I wasn't even fully aware that what he had done was wrong.
Crystal Wolcott I am so sorry that you had to go through that. I hope that you were able to get help to deal with that and that you are able to have an absolutely beautiful life from now own.
only 4 ?! How dare everyone who says that. I saw and interview about a woman being abducted for "only" 8 hours in these 8 hours he tried to drown her 4 times, raped her multiple times, choked her, beat her so all her rips were broken and she had inner bleeding plus multiple fractures..again in "only" 8 hours. Image having to go through this for 4!! days
That would even feel longer. Imagine waiting 10 mins while bored, it feels longer than it should be. More so when you are in a dangerous situation without any guarantee of escape. Every hour would feel like an eternity, it would would be scarring mentally and emotionally. What really sucks after this is you'll never be the same after these kind of incidents.
Yeah, time means nothing if you're put in a stressful, painful situation. It doesn't matter if it's a few days, or even a few minutes, or even a few SECONDS. In that moment, every single second is horrible, and intensified. Every moment dragged out to seem like it lasts longer. The fear stays with you, changes you. People who told her that to her face clearly don't understand, and they don't care to either.
Even just getting attacked for a minute can be such a traumatic experience... I can’t imagine the trauma and can’t even rationalize how anyone could say that to someone...
alizasucks for 5 mins even. These horrible people. Thank goodness these people r alive today to tell their tale, since not a lot of people have survived💔
@@davidela9022 all child molester and rapist, once undeniable proof is given, should have an immediate bullet to the head! Natural selection. Then they can't ever hurt anyone again. And people will be deterred from doing it. People will continue to do this if they know they'll be out of prison in no time.
Strawberry Milkshake in my opinion, that’s the easy way out. I respect your opinion, but pedophiles get treated so poorly in prison (as they should) and I feel like it’s much better for them to have to go through the torture that they put on others.
Stupid people: ONly fOUr dAYs Could be just me but I’m pretty sure any amount of time spent being tortured in a basement is too much time spent being tortured in a basement.
Exactly I couldn't even imagine an hour of torture. Torture is torture either way and people who think "4 days" isn't bad should learn that so much can happen so easily in such little time
Hey is it okay if a put copy and paste? I am going make sure they know I copied and I found it from you I already have the comment made if you wanna see it but it is clear that I found it from you
“4 days ain’t that bad” I can’t believe there’s people like that. I bet they would be crying and sobbing from just a couple minutes of what they went through.
Yeah, a lot of the times when ever I think of someone going through a r@p3 then I forget and often times am in disbelief that it could really only last less than ten minutes sometimes, yet the person is still most likely scarred for life.
For reference to people who say “4 days isn’t that bad”: Sexual assault can happen in seconds, and that can be a life altering event. Imagine how much assault can happen in in 4 days, even one.
My trauma happened in 10 minutes. I can't even imagine what it's like to endure even 4 days of torture. My heart is broken, I want to protect all of them :(
Would you rather spend four days in an unfamiliar place, or PERMANENTLY lose 3 pretty important body parts. It really isn’t the same. Yes, it would be better if they never went at all, but leaving with all your limbs after a 4 day stay with a stranger is much better than dying
I know this video is old, but as a survivor of kidnap & rape by multiple people (including family members) I have to say I am incredibly proud of what the 2 women have done. My long, multi-year story isn’t public & never covered by the news, so I don’t know what it would be like to deal with the emotional trauma in a public way, but I do know how I dealt with it in a very private, hush-hush environment. My trauma wasn’t recognized, nor was there any justice served. I was shamed as a child if I mentioned anything about what I went through. In fact, in January of this year (2022) did I finally admit to someone what I went through. While I have openly talked about a few things, I’d hid the entire horror from my husband, kids & friends. I appreciate you supporting surviving champions who have been through living hell & came out with a an immeasurable about of strength, grace, empathy & resilience in order to help others understand how to do the same, no matter their story or own experience.
I'm so proud of you for continuing on with your life and for continuing to do so. It's terrible you went through that, and I'm so sorry it all happened. But I'm glad you can open up about it now and heal further. Thank you for living, internet stranger :)
@@blorblin Thank You so much! After finally opening up about what happened, I definitely noticed a more positive shift within myself & my relationships which is amazing!
Even worse most places don't take missing reports until its been after 24 hours since the person has gone missing. I'm not sure about this though I've just heard it somewhere
When i was 15 i met a girl online. We started talking and she said something along the lines of "we should meet up in person". I was seriously debating it but decided against it in the end. I don't know if this was a dangerous person or if this really was the girl like she said. If my parents didn't teach me about internet safety i'm pretty sure i would have gone. Knowledge is power.
in 2020 i talked to this boy on playstation messages, (his voice sounded maybe 16) and we never really talked much and when locations were mentioned, he said his actual state but i said a general location (north/south/east/west) and i never even specified in what country either but then my father found out and i lost all devices up until the middle of 2021 that time alone was filled with the most crippling depression i’ve ever felt, but it was for the best, i guess
Dude I'm surprised I never got catfished or got in any danger after meeting so many girls thru dating apps. I don't do that anymore but yeah you just never know. So many creeps out there
@@EmmaJohnsonShenanigans I get if he was trying to protect you but I wish he had done it in a more reasonable way. Cell phones were barely even a thing when I was in high school but once they were if you didn't have one you didn't get invited places usually. I wish parents understood to use discipline sparsely and to communicate and watch over your kids. They can't stop you from using the internet as it is intended. Chatting with strangers is a part of a lot of games. Sounds like you were smart and I am sorry you were punished for it. That's not fair in my opinion.
I mean, when u compare it to people who hv been kept it captivity for months or longer (like jaycee dugard), then yea. But in no way am i discrediting wat she went thru. Im just saying theres worse out there EDIT: btw im not referring to the trauma. Im referring to the sentence in commas
“Just four days? That’s not that bad!” This is the problem I have with today’s society. No amount of trauma is bad enough. We downplay and compare every incident.
So freaking dismissive. “4 days??? That’s not bad.” If you were held captive in a dungeon, deprived of socialising and sunlight, and then r*p*d against your own will... 4 days will feel like 4 years.
"it was only 4 days"... I got sexually assaulted for just under 15 minutes and it permanently changed me as person and made my whole outlook on life different, not only that, my sexual assaulter got ZERO punishment for what he did to me. Imagine getting kidnapped for 4 days and your kidnapper/r*pist/assaulter barely getting any jail time. Even a few minutes can change someone entirely. Stop excusing the kidnappers behavior and realize that no matter how long something occurred, there will ALWAYS be some form of trauma. Edit: I wanna also acknowledge the immense fear women/men face after seeing their kidnapper/r*pist/assaulter. These women are so brave for being able to face them in court proudly. For me personally, he works at my local grocery store so I have to see him all the time. I always feel very unsafe and tense seeing him waltz around as a free man. It was to the point I refused even working at that grocery store because I didn't want to see him.
Was the woman in the story sexually assaulted or beaten. I didn't really understand? Also was the other woman taken into a cell by good law enforcement or people in on her kidnapping I am genuinely confused.
That's exactly what I was thinking! If you've been in a position like that 1 second feels like an hour, an hour feels like a day... it probably felt like forever. I could never understand what that must have felt like for her.
Mr Helo yes the younger woman was sexually assaulted. Beaten r@aped (the word is bleeped in the video because TH-cam will take it down) for four days. She was kept in a torture chamber and tortured physically, emotionally, and sexually. The other woman, the older one, knew her kidnapper. Neither of them were arrested. The law enforcement wasn’t “in on it” when the first describes being rescued she THOUGHT it was someone coming to kill her not to rescue her. The older woman her kidnapper was arrested, and she was allowed to go see him in jail was what she was describing. There’s a whole documentary on her. It’s very sad and very strange. She’s endured so much.
As a SA survivor, Every minute that things went on, was a minute too long. It’s absurd that someone would say that four days being KIDNAPPED, TORTURED, and ASSAULTED isn’t “that bad”. And it was live streamed? The hell. The ignorance of some people
Once my therapist said to me. “Trauma might have been a few hours or even a few days, but for trauma survivors it is like a million years long. Your brain keeps repeating that event pretty much everyday and you keep reliving which makes it feel like that”
Trauma could also be a few seconds for all that matter. A car accident, an explosion... I've been through a very bad earthquake that damaged my house quite a lot 4 years ago: it lasted less than a minute but I still have ptsd from it
When I was 13, my best friends older brother, who was a decade older than me, attempted to convince me to sneak out and get in his car via AIM messenger. I almost did. At 13, I thought it was cool that someone older would want to ‘hang out’ with me. When I look back on it, it gives me goosebumps imagining what could’ve happened. I wish I had more knowledge about how to interact with people online. I can’t blame my parents because at that time, the internet was so new.
That’s completely awful for someone to even THINK, but to SAY it to THE PERSON ... omg.. 🤬 ..I was raped almost 7 years ago on my birthday (and he’s still out there). It was horrific and I know what she means about year after year expecting something that’s *supposed* to be a happy occasion, but instead it brings up pain and memories of the horror you lived thru, the fear, and the confusion of all those feelings.. its enough to swear off birthdays ~or ever even leaving the house~ *forever* . Hopefully that POS will *not* be released on her birthday and she won’t have to live thru that, on top of everything she’s already been thru! 🙏🏻 I feel like people that say things like “four days, not that bad..” CLEARLY have no sense of reality ... and I’m so sorry to you @floweringtowers. and all the other women (and men) out there that have been raped, kidnapped, or abused by someone. The fact that you are here and are able to read this means that you are NOT a VICTIM ANYMORE and you DESERVE EVERYTHING GOOD that the world has to offer you, and *so much more* !! I know it’s not easy .. Please stay strong and try not to ever feel alone! You are not alone! You are a survivor and you are SO STRONG!! 💗💗💗💗💗💗
I haven't been kidnapped, but I have been a victim of brutal abuse, sex trafficking, torture, neglect, and a list of other things. And what I gotta say for those who wanna victim blame and for those who want to minimize or degrade all of us who went through those traumas and traumas of all sorts, walk in our shoes for the amount of years, months, hours, even minutes of the trauma we've faced. People need to be aware of these things and need to be taught how to avoid being in these situations. These girls are heroes in my eyes. They deserve every inch of respect. They are trying to make a difference for this world by talking about what they went through and teaching kids and adults how they can avoid these experiences. These women are brave. They don't just speak for themselves, and they don't just speak for other survivors of kidnapping, but they speak for all of us who went through some serious trauma and are our voices. For that, I thank them very much.
@Anonymous Well yeah obviously, but the VAST majority are men. Plus starting a sentence with "I felt really sorry for these women *but* " doesn't look too favorable for you
@MB i have seen cases of women commiting equal or worse crimes, i am not saying that there aren't horrible men out there that commit terrible acts against women. but there are just as many women commiting terrible act to men and the truth is that the justice system is far less fair to men than it is to women, women often get lesser sentences for the same crimes, and the system has a nasty habit of siding with women no matter the circumstances, with questions like "what did he do to make her mad?" the male version of "what was she wearing?" once again i am not trying to make light of what happened to either of the women in this video or anyone else for that matter, just saying that horrible things happen to both sexes and are commited by both sexes.
*_KIDNAPPED IS KIDNAPPED MK_* (sorry I'm just saying that kidnapped is just kidnapped it doesn't matter how many days or the gender or age oof this might look like I'm saying it's good to kidnap but it's just the opposite of that qnq)
I hate that people actually say stuff like “It was only 4 days”. It doesn’t matter if it was a few minutes, a few hours, or a few days, it’s still a very scary and certainly traumatic experience. A lot can happen in a few minutes and she was there for 4 days! These ladies are so strong, I can’t imagine how scary it must have been to be abducted and feel that sense of hopelessness and not knowing what’s going to happen next.
Ikr they annoy me so much. The worst part about judging someone is that you can never know what they went through. You always tend to imagine in the negative way.
One thing about when you are kidnapped, yeah it may have only been hours, but it may have felt like days, and if has been at least 48-72+ hours, then it seems like the days merge, and the only things you can really think about is death, hope, and the how helpless you are. Its a sad, painful, traumatic experience.
Yup I agree and it’s true. When it happened to me all I could think about was if I would be killed and all I did was pray. Also yea even a couple hours can seem like years and years.
@Alexis telling the story allows one to control the narrative.. they werent in control of what happened to them..but they can control how their story is told.
@Alexis it was a heartbreaking experiance and they were very hurt in those days eveb months its hard to tell about something that could have hurt them almost to death so its hard to say that relive it in words
So many people downplay and blame these women because they don't want to think that something like this could happen to them. We need to stop victim blaming and downplaying the impact of abuse.
I got that a lot in comments from when i was on a tv show talking about abuse from a guy. I to this day never knew how to respond to those comments until now. People at work found the episode and i heard comments like that from them as well. It was even harder in person lol but now i know what to say! Im extremely grateful for this video.
these people don't deserve to be free they deserve nothing they deserve to be hated by everyone fear for their life i don't care if this is dark they deserve nothing. nothing
this is the most terrifying video i've watched compared to the nutty putty cave incident. i don't EVER wanna trust strangers. i feel so bad for Alicia too, she got rap*d and tortured, it was terrifying to listen. i learned from this video, i'm never letting go of anyone i know and love.
@@Aven_colonthree some dude got trapped in a cave upside down in this very narrow area, he was stuck for days until he eventually passed away. Dude was an experienced cave explorer whilst also being pretty flexible, which is the reason why very few people even managed to reach him
to those people, i would like them to experience what she did just for 1 day since 4 isn't that bad, 1 must be easy for them...and see how not bad it'd going to be for the rest of their lives. obviously i don't really wish something like this to happen to anyone but comments like that are so incredibly ignorant i can't even believe it
If someone told me “Just 4 days?” I would have responded with “Well, how many days have you spent in a strangers basement getting tortured and sexually assaulted?”
I know right??? Like, excuse me, have you gone through the situation? No, you haven't, so stop pretending like it's no big deal. People can be such idiots.
Sirama This. I despise when people label something like forcing a peck on someone’s lips as sexual assault. Was it not good to do? Yes. But was it sexual assault? Absolutely fucking not. It gets downplayed so damn much that talking about rape even sounds like a joke. People literally use rape as a joke these days, like “don’t turn around or i’ll rape u”. I can’t take it, it’s so fucking insensitive.
Right? 4 days must seem like a lifetime, when you don’t know if you are going to live or die. Being terrified for every single second of that time must really mess with your head.
I’m honestly in constant fear of being kidnapped. I side-eye people suspiciously when my gut and intuition says to, I stay away from creeps, I watch true crime to defend myself, and then hearing voices who speak out about educate me. Hope these women are doing okay.
@@EmmaJohnsonShenanigans Great dad. I've been thinking of figuring out some way to make my son join a self-defense thing of some sort, because he's a fragile, very kind and good nature and have Asperger, but with low self confidence I think.. I've been training HEMA (Historical European Martial Arts), and can probably knock out almost anyone if I just have a stick or similar, it get built into muscle memory, and tried to bring him once, but he thought it was scary with the swords, and perhaps too rough for him. Do you have any advice of what made you interested in it?
I wish schools taught THIS. That rape is a horrible thing, that no man or women should have to ever be afraid to walk down a street. In Health we had ONE paper that mentioned rape and it wasn't even factual saying things like "women get raped because their clothes provoked the man". We need to stop teaching "boys will be boys" or "it's okay because it's a girl" rape or molestation is never acceptable. Schools and parents should build stronger generations that don't tolerate rape and know how to defend themselves.
The whole "women get raped because..." Is so wrong. Most of the time women that are raped aren't even wearing revealing or sexual clothing or anything of the sort.
@DudeImJasmine no its some sick perversion people have or some sick way to feel like they are in control. And the people who are supposed to protect everyone (police and justice systems) are not doing much to stop it. So ofcourse if you can get away with it, it must not be very bad behaviour and those people will just continue to do the same thing
That “only 4 days?”, annoys tf out of me. Like okkkk there is a reason anyone found is found in a short period, bc any longer and they’re usually dead. SHE IS LUCKY, and 4 days is a long time and a scary time Don’t ever belittle someone else’s trauma
@User yep, but sometimes there may be someone so far gone that they just dont feel it which us scary, thats why a weapon is needed and not just the spray
My worst fear is being trapped in a tiny metal box sealed tight, and I have to escape in like an Hour, or else it will slowly start getting smaller and smaller until my bones break, blood will gush out from every opening and I slowly and painfully become a mangled corpse
I've noticed that a lot of other interviewers and documentaries refer to kidnapping survivors as "victims" whereas Anthony refers to them as "Survivors" Mad respect for you, man
As a kidnapping survivor myself. This video was so well done and well handled by Anthony and it felt so nice to watch this and feel less alone in such a scary world. Sometimes I watch back at this video again for the comfort. Thank you Anthony ❤️
“Do not question yourself. Do not judge yourself. Take your time with yourself. You’ve fallen down before and you got back up. That strength is still in you” Such powerful words to live by. This narrative applies to everyone, abduction survivors or not. (P.S. for anyone who doesn’t know Alicia said this in the video)
Imagine being such a disgusting person to respond with “only four days?” to her telling her story about being r*ped and beaten. It doesn’t matter if she was kidnapped for four hours, days, months; it’s still a kidnapping. A lot of kidnap victims are killed within the next 24 hours after being kidnapped and people have the audacity to make it seem like four days isn’t a lot. She’s literally so fortunate to be alive today and people are really downplaying her traumas like it’s nothing.
I'm so inspired by Alicia and Jan for being strong enough to come out and speak about that in this video. Alicia is honestly working so hard to prevent others from experiencing what she did, because she went through it and no one deserves to go through what these brave women went through. Lots of love to anyone who went through such a thing, you don't deserve it and if you haven't overcome it yet (which is a huge step) then I hope you do.
Just being raped is bad. So being held captive, tortured and raped for “only four days” would be terrifying and if you don’t think so than I’d love to see you live through it.
I agree. Imagine how long 4 days of school testing feels like. Or being grounded for four days. Add being kidnapped, raped, and tortured on top of that. It makes me sick to think that people actually say that to others. Even 5 minutes would be enough to be killed, she survived FOUR DAYS. Back off.
I understand it's sad that people wouldn't think it's "that bad," but I wouldn't wish that on anyone. So instead of saying "I'd love to see you live through it" maybe it'd be more appropriate to hope that person would think more about what they said and understand the circumstances. Not a good thing to say, but I doubt they understood the full story.
4 days. 4 straight days. That is a LONG ass time. 4 days is 96 hours. 96 hours is 5760 minutes. 5760 minutes without love, a family, pain. And she was a *child* I'm sure every minute felt like an hour. Every second passing by, and it feels like you're never going to go home. And to ever blame these people for what they had to go through is disgusting. These woman are strong, and empowering, and brilliant. Never downplay a persons suffering, ever.
Exactly, EXACTLY. She had no idea she was going to be saved. She thought she had more time before her own murder, but she thought that time was going to be spent being tormented and raped indefinitely. The strength and courage that young girl showed.... to fight strategically for more time, knowing that time would be the worst time of her life.... wow. Powerful.
I remember watching an interview with a guy who was kidnapped for "only" 40 hours here on youtube and I remember seeing some salty comment about how that's not even 2 full days and the guy's a pussy, because I guess man aren't supposed to get hurt by this? Seriously, the length of it or their gender shouldn't invalidate anyone's trauma.
@@Ax00xL I agree. A lot of times, men have their emotions invalidated because of their gender. I feel like it's way too often that men who are sexual assault survivors or just assault survivors in general feel like they aren't allowed to be upset about it because "men are supposed to be strong" or even worse "emotions are for women!"
"He's going to be released next year on my birthday" I can't imagine the anger and the pain she must feel toward the system. I have no words, this is disgusting.
Even I'm so angry and upset over it so I can't even begin to imagine how she could be feeling towards it. It's deeper in than heartbreak and terror....💔
When I first started going online, my mom sat me down and drew a diagram with just two circles, one smaller and inside the larger. She said “the smaller circle is the people you can tell everything to, inside the bigger circle is things you tell some people but not others, and outside the circle is people you can’t share anything with.” Then she had me go through and put a dot for where family fell on that scale, friends, and online friends. When I was done she explained the dangers of meeting people online and made sure I was aware that I can’t tell people online anything that could lead them to me. I think that every parent needs to have this conversation with their kid
Imagine saying to a rape survivor "Oh it was only 15 minutes, it wasn't that bad" She was gone for 4 days, FOUR DAYS, that's not a short amount of time nor does it make it any lesser.
@@seanraftree5905 You're misunderstanding the comment. @LucidDreams said how the people who say "it was only four days" are horrible human beings, and that they don't agree with the statement.
People are mean, it takes effort to actually care and put yourself in the other person's shoe's that's why most can sympathize at best but not empathize.
Exactly I live a perfectly normal life and it feels like an eternity to me. Imagine for someone who, A: doesn’t know how long they’re gonna be there. B: getting beaten and r*ped all the time. And C: You probably think you’re gonna die so you don’t even try to keep up to date.
The guy that got released early after raping, beating, kidnapping, and truly torturing someone, AND he was about to kill her, doesn’t deserve to breathe our air. Just my opinion.
They actually made a Netflix documentary about Jan’s story called “Abducted in Plain Sight”. It explores her case much deeper and is honestly so sickening. I cannot imagine the trauma she must still live with...
I thought I recognised her story. wasn't there a whole thing about her kidnapper also romantically and sexually manipulating her parents so they allowed him to abuse her more.
I'm sorry I gotta be that girl! I have it pulled up on my screen rn, and it's "Abducted in Plain Sight" although I guess perhaps it translates differently in other languages? Regardless, if you start searching Jan Broberg, it'll come up in the results so you can find it that way. 😊
TheBananaCat Absolutely agree! I’m sure she has forgiven her parents for everything and in the end it definitely is the perpetrator’s fault. But I cannot get over the fact that her parents were so passive in the whole situation, due to their own emotional dilemmas, that they failed to protect their own daughter from that sicko. They even allowed him to share a bed with her!
Pedophilia is not a sexuality. Minors cannot give anyone consent, it's not just unlawful it's totally disgusting that people look at kids and have these thoughts. EDIT: Ya so I don't wanna 'exterminate' them from the society or whatever. If they can get help well and good, we all can move on with our lives peacefully but if they can't they are sex offenders BECAUSE CHILDREN CAN'T CONSENT. No matter what the sexuality is, intercourse without consent is a crime.
@@SolidCheshire discussing and getting help is fine... but things this and rapes are what make them dangerous. You are right this should be talked about, they need to he understood as well before they become dangerous.
Boboqt Vv the feelings of being sexually attracted to a child, while still disturbing, aren’t inherently illegal. its if that person then decides to act upon these feelings where it’s a problem.
I respect the pedo's that voluntarily have themselves chemically castrated, because they are sickened by their desires. They didn't choose to have this attraction and I kind of feel bad for them that they can't ever have romantic love. HOWEVER, the other side of the coin should indeed be castrated and monitored. If they still can't behave, broadcast their crimes over the prison PA system I say. 3 years is a slap on the wrist sentence for most crimes, for assaulting children though? 3 years may very well be a deathsentence.
“Only four days, that isn’t that bad” it is not okay to minimize or compare trauma. All trauma is horrible and all trauma survivors are immensely strong.
Yes but 4 days is better than multiple years or never getting found, she wasn’t even gone for half a week, every second feels like forever I get that, I also get that she went through extreme torture and 4 days seems like a lot, but again it’s better than getting tortured for years
@@leeeverett7388 I don't intend on changing your mind, but in my opinion, it is still severe. This topic is so graphic that a person that hasn't been traumatized before in that degree wouldn't understand. Either 4 days or 4 years of a traumatic event so personal, violating, and dehumanizing, you would never forget it.
Could you do a day with sex trafficking victims? I was sold into sex slavery when I was very little. I'm out now but there's so much misinformation and a lot of us are brushed off and ignored. Not getting the proper help we need after escaping.
Thank you for sharing. We empathize with you, and appreciate your voice. It would be lovely if you could clear up any misinformation to better educate us
whoa Letting you know that you’re probably one of the strongest human being ever. Its so fucked that you and other people have to go through that. I hope you have a blessed day x
I really appreciate that this video helps talk about kidnapping survivors. Especially because this has happened to me before. My heart goes out to all of them.
I really think he should interview sexual assault survivors Edit- i mean solely sexual assault survivors. This episode is more based of kidnappings obviously.
That one girl, not only was she kidnapped, but tortured. I can imagine how much that destroyed her. Mentally and physically. Thank god for that man who recognized her. Who tf would respond with “ONLY 4 DAYS?!” someone was tortured and almost killed. And THAT is your response?!
@@connordeforest3712 the top penalty for drug trafficking is a LIFE sentence bro, common fact you can check. Do you think under 1 year for torture is good and dandy? Are you all goods bro x
alicias story reminds me of the toy box killer, poor girls, they mustve been going through a lot after these experiences. Being kidnapped is my worst fear ever! My heart goes out to these strong brave survivors.
Its disgusting how most people say, “getting robbed is worse than being raped”- Rape is worse because your traumatized by it, it sticks with you, Yes robbing someone is horrible but rape is worse, I know this has nothing to do with the video but I am just pointing out.
Everything that happened is bad to someone in their own way. Doesn't matter what it is or how bad it is. We don't need to compare things that happened to you or that traumatized you. Yes a robbing is bad, and yes rape is bad. The ones that expierenced this know that what happened to them is worse in their own way and to their selfs. I rescued myself from being raped, yes it was absolutely traumatizing but it was traumatizing to ME. Something worse might've happened to someone but, i don't need to compare that. Because that thing i lived through is BAD to me and not to others.
The only person you should blame is the abuser, the kidnapper, etc. NEVER BLAME THE VICTIM OR THE VICTIMS PARENTS. EDIT: of course there are always situations where the parents should be blames (if they were in on it etc.) but normally we shouldnt blame the parents.
@@maryzaleski3946 True but if the parents dont care about childs safety, blame them. Theres alot of parents out there that wont believe u when u tell them what happened to u. These kind of parents are supposed be blamed.
Sometimes its okay tj blame them though, at school they teach us about this- yet people decide to be stupid. The amount of kid I have seen online dating is uncountable, the amount of times I caught kids having sex online is also very crazy. I try to warn them, "you're just jealous 😝" they say. So yeah- at these situations we should blame them since they had at least 1 person warn them.
Yeah like they are like “ It’S NoT ThAt BaD “ like ok then you go through the trauma and they are like “No WhY wOuLd I dO tHaT “ OH I’m sorry I thought it “ WaSn’T tHaT bAd “
Alicia spent 4 days being kidnapped. Jan spend 4 years being kidnapped. They both went through the same hell, regardless of time. And both kidnappers spend merely days, if not less than a year in jail. The justice system is broken. They need to spend over a decade or life on jail.
They need to be in jail for life. They caused lifelong trauma and ptsd on these women and therefore should serve in prison the same amount. I still think we should castrate them but whatever.
It could be because of the anxiety. I believe my anxiety is partly the reason I am so empathic. Regardless of the reason, Anthony seems like an amazingly kind person❤️
"4 days, it's not that bad" I remember waking up after a black out and being kissed without my consent. It lasts for seconds before I push the guy and I felt like this last for a good whole 10 minutes. I wasn't even hurt or bound like she was. I can't imagine what this girl went through for 4 LONG and TERRIFRYING days. Human are heartless. I don't understand what is the goal of dimissing a traumatic event because you didn't "have it that bad". Yes people are kidnapped for decennies. I doesn't make her situation more bearable.
I gasped when she said it was 5 hours long ride. I thought it was way too long of a nightmare, and then she said that some people would come up to her and have the audacity to tell her that 4 freaking days is "oh not so bad?!!!!" SMH some people are insane! I want to thank these wonderful women for sharing their stories, and possibly preventing a similar situation. They've been incredibly strong
exactly, murders tend to get at least 50-60 years, but these abductors didn’t?!? they were planning on killing the victim, imagine if the girl was found a few hours later she could have been killed. they deserve so much more jail time.
It’s so difficult to arrest them as well because in cases of child abuse the child usually doesn’t come forward until they’re an adult. Then where’s the proof? Also kidnapping/ sexual abuse happens behind closed doors between two people. The criminal system is unjust and doesn’t protect survivors!
The fact that there are people like this just walking around and torturing and kidnapping people and only getting a few years in jail actually really bothers me.
Honestly though people like that are a reason that I get paranoid at night thinking "What if someone kidnaps or kills or even something worse" people like that also make me sick.
It's fucking disgusting how, for example, drug dealers can get life in prison, but people who kidnap/r!pe get less than 2 years. Like both are bad but one is significantly worse and is not taken seriously enough in the jail system
That's why so many people do it, they know there will be almost no consequences 🤷🏻♀️ the system doesn't give shit about us and nobody is willing to protect us we have to change something
@@kerrycook233 yes it is you would want to die at that point if your getting tortured for 4 days straight and it is not that bad to not be kidnapped at all.

“oNlY fOuR dAyS, tHatS nOt bAd” imagine going through ur worst fear for 4 days and then just dying, like drowning. Imagine drowning for 4 days just suffering then dying after all that pain.
in my opinion it's much worse because they survived. I can't imagine living with that sort of trauma. it almost makes it seem like dying would be the "easy" way out.
I was almost kidnapped by four men in a black BMW right outside my house on my way home from work one night when I was 17, it was traumatic and to this day as a 22 year old I can’t go anywhere by myself and if a car stops beside me I freak. If it wasn’t for a lovely old man walking his dog who had turned the corner at the right time who knows what would have happened to me. He started yelling at the man trying to pull me in and the dog started growling and barking so they sped off. Such a brave guy to stand up to four men and I’m forever thankful to him.
Here's a tip: if your a teen and you want to meet an online friend irl, have an adult and/or a group of your friends go with you. If they don't have ill intent then you can introduce them to some people in your life, no harm no fowl, and if they do have ill intent their likely to not do anything if you're not alone.

I'm so sorry 😞
Why was there zero punishment??? They've probably done it to more people then..
As a SA survivor, Every minute that things went on, was a minute too long. It’s absurd that someone would say that four days being KIDNAPPED, TORTURED, and ASSAULTED isn’t “that bad”. And it was live streamed? The hell. The ignorance of some people

I know right??? Like, excuse me, have you gone through the situation? No, you haven't, so stop pretending like it's no big deal. People can be such idiots.
Say “rape” for some reason “sexual assault” makes people not take it seriously.

This.
My school teaches us this, and human trafficking, substance abuse topics, and more important subjects

Jamie Robb-Morrison that’s terrible, really shows how great our justice system is
sometimes even the female abusers get no time
It’s so difficult to arrest them as well because in cases of child abuse the child usually doesn’t come forward until they’re an adult. Then where’s the proof? Also kidnapping/ sexual abuse happens behind closed doors between two people. The criminal system is unjust and doesn’t protect survivors!
The fact that there are people like this just walking around and torturing and kidnapping people and only getting a few years in jail actually really bothers me.

but these girls were kidnapped, and taken from their home. abused, tortured, sexually assaulted, etc.
Exactly
@@kerrycook233 yes it is you would want to die at that point if your getting tortured for 4 days straight and it is not that bad to not be kidnapped at all.
@@kerrycook233 based off of your spelling, you’re most likely 6-9 years old. How would you feel if you were tortured, abused, sexually assaulted, and more without knowing when it’s going to end? Even if it’s 10 minutes, it’s still terrifying.
“oNlY fOuR dAyS, tHatS nOt bAd” imagine going through ur worst fear for 4 days and then just dying, like drowning. Imagine drowning for 4 days just suffering then dying after all that pain.
She wasn't drowning tho
IMAHACKER it was a example.
Exactly
in my opinion it's much worse because they survived. I can't imagine living with that sort of trauma. it almost makes it seem like dying would be the "easy" way out.
Jason Green it’s a example
I was almost kidnapped by four men in a black BMW right outside my house on my way home from work one night when I was 17, it was traumatic and to this day as a 22 year old I can’t go anywhere by myself and if a car stops beside me I freak. If it wasn’t for a lovely old man walking his dog who had turned the corner at the right time who knows what would have happened to me. He started yelling at the man trying to pull me in and the dog started growling and barking so they sped off. Such a brave guy to stand up to four men and I’m forever thankful to him.
I'm glad you're ok☺️
I'm glad that was stopped from happening to you and so sorry you had to go through that
wow that's incredible! im so glad you're okay you're insanely strong!
I'm so sorry this happened to u
I’m so happy you’re ok, some people witness this stuff and ignore it. He’s a hero
Here's a tip: if your a teen and you want to meet an online friend irl, have an adult and/or a group of your friends go with you. If they don't have ill intent then you can introduce them to some people in your life, no harm no fowl, and if they do have ill intent their likely to not do anything if you're not alone.
another tip:be careful wat info u give to strangers online they can use dat against u
