    At $10 cheaper than the Huntsman mini and the same price as the ducky one two mini and anne 2 pro I dont see how this keyboard is that overpriced. I havent typed on it or the ducky keyboards but I doubt that it really feels a whole lot worse. It Might not sound the best but the cherry speeds are pretty good switches for gaming, and the hyper polling, while not very good now, is a good feature to see in keyboards going forward so I understand why it might be a bit boring, but if its so boring then dont make a lazy 6 minute video complaining about it.

      Outside of weight and materials for the casing, Corsair keyboards were poor quality especially for the price, this is objectively better other than the case being plastic. PBT doubleshot keycaps are way better than ABS laser etched. Always gotta pay for that gamer tax.

    • @mystic4panda285
      @mystic4panda285 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@nyphon The Corsair keyboards aren't technically what I would call an aluminium keyboard (I used to have a Corsair in the past). There is a visible metal where the switches sit on (over a plastic case), which is called a top plate so does this keyboard but because of the design you cannot see it (back plate in this case). An example to illustrate what I'm talking about is the IKBC MF87 RGB, which has an aluminium body as well as a metal backplate.

    - Other TH-camrs all say this keyboard is NOT the same polling rate as the K100 but it is 8000 polling rate and that corsair is pushing it more than the K100!
    He even shows it in the iCUE software! At 4:28 ! 4000Hz Polling Rate at 0.250 msec and 8000Hz at 0.125 msec!

    Corsair, as a "Peripheral big player" is following trends, not creating them, which is kind of a shame.
    They missed the 60% wave where people were just happy to see 60 or 65% keebs from big brands, but that kinda died after everybody and their cousin released one (Except logitech. Logitech never does things like other do. They're the biggest hipsters in the gaming peripheral market). Now the 60% market is cluttered, with a lot of keyboards that have special features to differentiate themselves from the rest (Fnatic streak 65, Huntsman Mini, GK hotswap boards etc) to a point that even the "gold standard" in this market, the Ducky One 2 Mini is now considered to be "sub-par", lacking a lot of features that people want now (software, hotswap, sound dampening etc). This 60% from Corsair just feels like a "oh they really want a 60% huh, let's give 'em one then". It does not feels natural, but forced.
    I can only guess that their first lightweight mouse will follow the same trend : too little, too late, too expensive. -but die hard Corsair fans will still buy it anyway-

      Really great commentary and I think you’re spot on. They had the ability and the existing data from everyone else’s releases to drop a banger and they went the uninspired route.
      Just reading comments like yours makes me wish they had a budget for proper consulting from people that really KNOW the market before making a misstep like this.

    • @Xenon_001
      @Xenon_001 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Exactly, this keyboard is important if you're doing high accuracy things in games. The k100 is apparently better but not worth the extra $100 for half the polling rate.

  • @Xenon_001
    @Xenon_001 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Latency is extremely important, but yet there are people out there playing with legit 50hz keyboards so can't really say anything there. Latency > everything else. The k100 really isn't worth the almost $100 more either compared to this.

    buy a DK61e, put foam in it and cal it a day. cheaper, siounds pretty good and the stabs are actually lubed a bit. maybe replace the keycaps with some other pbt caps from razer or hyperx which would total less than this, still.

    Im not interested in any of these keyboards at all, imo all the companies are just trying to follow the hype train and make some money, most of these new 60% keyboards coming out have nothing new being brought to the table. Its just so standard.

    I don't get the idea of including some alternative keycaps if they're not even the same quality as the rest of the caps. Seems like they're really just betting on name recognition on this one. At least they're getting some healthy profit margins for themselves...

    the only good thing about this keyboard is literally just the polling rate lmao and it's only useful when you are playing rhythm games. buying the gk61 kit is far more better and cheaper, plus it has 1k polling rate too so you really are not missing anything
