During the American war of independence there was the battle of Valcour island Oct 11 1776. And numerous battles through ww1 - ww2 . All taking place between OCT - Jan.
The Star Trek collab was cut in half, this, and the anti-ship missile event, were all supposed to come out together as the full collab. The reason it was delayed at the time was so they could cut it in half. You could open the door to the ready room (the next special port) from the bridge on Enterprise D and was like supposed to be able to go through it.
I got her in a Santa container, and while I don't play CV's, I'm happy to have her in my port. In many, ways, this ship is why I have mixed feelings when WG releases legendary ships into the game. Looking at the videos from way back when she was first released, the amount of griping about "OP" was remarkable, leading to her getting pulled, and nerfed before reappearing occasionally. Pretty much what happens to any of the legendary ships since then, if they're not pulled, they're nerfed in short order, just because they perform somewhat like their legend.
More fun fact: Gene Rodenberry wanted Star Trek's ship to be named Yorktown..... But the drive to try and save Enterprise as a museum ship changed his mind

saying that *one* *virtual* ship in the game at $50-$60 USD is "reasonable" is clear evidence of Stockholm syndrome. That's the cost of a whole-ass, complete, entire, separate AAA video game. Asking players to pay that much money is absurd, especially considering how often we're also buying premium account time (to address the completely artificial resource deficit of free accounts), economic bonus packages for the ships (to address the completely artificial resource deficit) and monthly event passes, plus cosmetics and skins. Even the famously abusive console sports games that essentially re-release themselves every year only run you $60/year to stay current. A premium ship should be $5-$10 MAX.
If you buy wisely, you can nab a year of premium time at 1/2 off during Christmas. I’d also like to point out that most of the best ships in the game are coal/resource ships you can obtain for free. The game is free to play and gives players a constant stream of new, free content at quite the regular rate with new tech lines and such. The game does need to generate money in order to run, most understand this and are fine with paying the AAA prices for the occasional premium ship in exchange for that.
@@sealordmountbatten If I'm dropping $60 on the game, I expect the return to be somewhere near the content that a $60 game would provide. One ship that provides a very slight adjustment to gameplay style is nowhere near that amount of content. A year of premium at 50% off is still $50. $10 per monthly event pass rings up $80-$120 depending on participation. Getting an economics package on a high tier ship is around $15. An average, non-turbo whale but paying player is going to be spending $200-$300 on this game per year. I haven't even touched lootbox gambling (yuck) for real money (double yuck), and for the real whales they're free to buy $300 worth of event crates to early access t10 ships and such. I know they need to make money but their monetization method is scummy and the premium ships remain an atrocity.
@@sealordmountbatten technically speaking you are correct, but free account with no economic bonus package starts losing credits every match at a certain tier and you are essentially soft locked without paying, not to mention the hundreds and hundreds of hours you'll have to play one ship to afford the next tier up as you get to the soft lock point. Both of which are artificial scarcity for no gameplay reason to "encourage" paying.
It’s worth it if you got lucky with the Leyte Gulf container. The bombs can still hit hard. I remember completely nuking a Nelson for most it’s health.
You can skip the missions and buy the Tennessee outright in the shop for like $125-150 USD it is a bundle so you get other stuff with the ship. The Enterprise is the same you can buy the bundle for $80-120 USD. (Sorry cant check on work computer as gaming sites are blocked so cant check prices for accuracy.)
This has never been more relevant for me. The first box i opened, i was blessed with a free Enterprise today. Used some free xp, got Popeye (Yes he's a commander) to level 21, and i have been recking face in ranked. Its no CV god, but its getting constant citadels, and loads of fires. I'm very happy.

Was extremely lucky and got the Enterprise for free when I opened the first non premium container I earned during the first set of missions. FYI Hornet is a better carrier at tier 8 with those B-25 bombers, that slap BB's for crazy damage!
comparing to kaga, the current best available cv, the enterprise is still better. if you really like cvs, its still one of the best to pick up for sure.
Great info about the Enterprise Sealord, well done as usual. A couple things I might add to your arguments about not spending over $100 to get her when you need only spend $52 for the best Tier 8 CV, the Kaga. If someone wants a historical American CV, just grind up to the Lexington in the Tech Tree. Yes, the Enterprise has faster plane replacement but all of the Lexington’s planes are faster than the Enterprise planes. Faster speed means less plane losses. Each of Lex’s Rocket planes have 2 more rockets than the rocket planes of the Enterprise. In addition, the Lexington bombers have HE bombs which damage DDs instead of over-penetration. My experience with the Enterprise is that I stay with the Torpedo squadrons and only go to Rocket planes to allow my torpedo squadrons to recover and to spot and and try to start repeated fires. Why not just use the Kaga and never run out of Torpedo squadrons? And if you want free, get the Lexington or the “Big Sho” Shōkaku, tragically both superior to the Enterprise.
The only reason i want the ent is because i got the Ent D camo for it in the trek colab, and i really want somethint to put it on, even it's port decoration :P

Meanwhile, on first leyte gulf chest I get, said tier 8 comes out immediatly, but, this was the first or second time I ever got a ship from a chest where it wasn't garanteed. P.S. if I already have the Tennessee and finish the missions for the event, do I get a different reward or nothing?
As a CV main: for historical reason, maybe. but i wouldn't recommend getting BIG E there are a lot of better CV in the game than this ship, premium and tech tree for the amount of money WG is asking this is very expensive ship for a class that will be butchered in the next patches, not to mention that Wg nerf this ship too much
CV s aren't my cup of tea. I think I can never get the amount of damage or XP in a match, compared to a standard surface vessel. Same goes with sub's. They're just a pain in the a$$, annoying anyone,and until one isnt a real good CV/sub captain,like me,most I can get out for the team is spotting
Will you do a ranking on all Tier 11 Ships? Maybe also say the best ship for each class? It's kind of weird how there aren't any real videos ranking what Tier 11 ships are useless and amazing.

Bringing Big E back NOW makes you wonder about the drug consumption in Prague. So they have the Star Trek event where you could get the skin, but not the ship. So it was pretty pointless for 99% of the players. And only now that this is over, they bring back the ship?!
It turns out that Tennessee and Enterprise were the only two possible ship drops I could get out of the containers. So I gambled and bought 25 crates, got them both and enough tokens for a random T6 container, but I already have all the possible T6 ships from the container, so looks like I'll have to settle for a couple mil in credits.
I got very lucky and from 25 crates got Enterprise, Tennessee, Atago and Hyugo. So it was defenitely "worth" it, if you dont mind risk and spending so much on pixels

Based on WG past practices I won't be getting the Enterprise. The Canadian dollar is $1.38 compared to the US dollar. For this reason alone the Enterprise stays with WG. I know its not their Fault that the exchange rate is steep.
No the packs are not worth it. Digital " goods" that will go away are neve worth it. There is no such thing as " you get stuff worth the price" when WG decides what the price is. Still a planned economy. A pixel ship isnt worth the price of a AAA game that won't go away.

Even in Dockyard, I just go for whatever my battles give me. No interest in a similar ship to one I have already. Zero interest in a CV, play none and sold off all I had, likewise for subs. I play surface to surface in a game originally made for just that. A few bonus gifts are nice when they occur but don't go out of my way for them.

You had dealt 144k damage despite playing a tier 10 game, and like you said, you don't consider yourself a good CV player, that shows a lot how the Big E is powerful.
This was a match from the past that he saved probably because he did well with the Enterprise. Sealord explained the reticle nerfs, the Rocket 3-5 second Time release nerf, and all plane speed nerfs that took place. The match he used is most likely 3 years old.
@@danhryniszak6612 This isn't an old replay, this is a recent one, look at the icons of AP bombs and rockets on interface, they were updated only a month ago. AP bomber reticle size and dispersion wasn't nerfed, the damage was, their AP bombs were always inconsistent, but good. Their planes were always slow but sturdy. Rockets were nerfed, but they are still ok. In this video the rockets aren't instant, they have a 3.6s delay. He played the Enterprise badly and in a bad MM setup, but still scored a high damage. This shows how solid this ship is.

She's a real steel ship and one of, if not the, most important ships in WW II, on the level of how important Dreadnought was in WW I

Those B25s are monsters but her other planes are lowkey trash and when overmatched most of the time she's even worse

If you have free slots it's worth having the CVs and subs, use them for snowflakes (or whatever they want to call it) and otherwise ignore.

You had dealt 144k damage despite playing a tier 10 game, and like you said, you don't consider yourself a good CV player, that shows a lot how the Big E is powerful.
This was a match from the past that he saved probably because he did well with the Enterprise. Sealord explained the reticle nerfs, the Rocket 3-5 second Time release nerf, and all plane speed nerfs that took place. The match he used is most likely 3 years old.
@@danhryniszak6612 This isn't an old replay, this is a recent one, look at the icons of AP bombs and rockets on interface, they were updated only a month ago. AP bomber reticle size and dispersion wasn't nerfed, the damage was, their AP bombs were always inconsistent, but good. Their planes were always slow but sturdy. Rockets were nerfed, but they are still ok. In this video the rockets aren't instant, they have a 3.6s delay.
He played the Enterprise badly and in a bad MM setup, but still scored a high damage. This shows how solid this ship is.
