  • We decided to get a 3 day pass to explore the ancient city of Angkor in Siem Reap, Cambodia. We were totally awe stricken our first day there. We saw some popular temples as well as the lesser visited ones to avoid crowds and show everyone the details not commonly seen. We truly hope you enjoy the coolest place we've been yet, including Bay Ka-ek, Angkor Thom West Gate, Bayonetta Temple (Temple of Faces), Ta Keo Temple and Banteay Samre.

I visited the temple a few years back as local visitor, and there was a European old guy broke in to tears when he arrived. He said this the place he wish to visit since he was young. His dream came true and I was so happy for him.

OMG! Everything is so amazing! All the different temples, were so intricately carved and so much work! 900 years ago, I can't even imagine how it was made! But they are exquisite! It literally brought tears to my eyes! I'm so glad you decided to do these in three parts rather than try to cut it so much to make it one! Each temple should be its own video! They are so deserving! This is what I've been waiting for since I knew you guys were going to Cambodia! When you think of Cambodia, you think of Angkor Wat! Either that or you know nothing about Cambodia! Lol! Each one is just so amazing! I'm in awe!!!! And I've seen Angkor Wat in different shows over the years but I've never seen most of these other temples! And the extent of the city of Angkor Wat is so unimaginable, it's ridiculous! To think of the population of the city at that time, it's so strange! Where did they all go? Just like the Mayans, what happened to them all? This city was huge and a bustling city for a long time! It has to take a long time just to build it all out of sandstone! I'm amazed that it is still standing at all, because sandstone isn't exactly a durable building stone! I guess they proved that wrong! Lol! Thank you guys for covering these amazing temples as thoroughly as you did! They deserve every second you gave them! And then some, but I understand the heat is a killer there! Thank you for withstanding it to bring attention to these wonderful and amazing structures❣️

Watch National Geographic Angkor Wat to understand the history of Angkor Wat and its people and why it disappeared. I think it’s mostly due to corruption and conflicts in the royal monarch and natural disasters, but their ingenious creation of the water system also played a role. Afterwards, they became vulnerable to their enemies, because prior to that, the Cambodian Ankorian Khmer empire and military was very powerful and undefeated. It’s a really intriguing empire and history.

Imagine how Henri Mouhot, the French explorer of the Angkor Wat temple, must have felt when he first arrived at the complex in 1860, surrounded by thick jungles with no roads, no motorbikes, and no food or drink sellers nearby-only a few assistants and himself. And by the way, he didn't pay an entrance fee, lol.😂

50:00, it’s an unfinished temple, 55:28 clearly you can see when you look at each tower at the top with those perfect square sandstone that were not even being the carving process yet, some theory said there was a war occurred during the building process. Construction of Ta Keo temple was started by King Jayavarman V in 975 AD. However, it wasn't until nearly 25 years later that it was dedicated to Shiva. After Jayavarman's death, construction of the temple stopped and Ta Keo was left unfinished.

I’ve been enjoying your videos! Just wanted to point out that at about 48:42 into the video, there appears to be a figure to the right above in the doorway. I zoomed in on it and they’re wearing a traditional Khmer outfit (white sbai and purple K’ben). Did you guys notice this “person?” and how were they able to get so high up? thanks.

Oh we see them now! Wow, what a climb they had done. We didn't see that when filming or editing at all. Wow, you have a great eye. Thanks for watching and pointing that out.

You complain about that price?you know how much it would cost in America? France? Spain? You would have to spend a lot more than that.

As an American, that price is pretty well up there with most our big attractions. I can say this was worth every cent though. We are very budget conscience and had no problem paying up. Thanks for watching.
