You are so right and also Cambodia is very underrated as a travel destination.
I lived and worked in Siem Reap for about 5 years. Siem Reap is one of my most favorite places within S.E Asia. I hope to visit again someday. That apartment looks very spacious and comfortable. Enjoy your stay.

Just a 5 min. walk to a large wet matket. If you need western market, you will need transpo. probably about 30 min walk to the large western market.

Cambodia is always 95°F.
You will need aircon.
Every afternoon it rains torrentially and streets flood at 4pm. Sun always directly overhead.
I just use the fans. It works for me.
Also, I haven't seen any rain in months, October, maybe November.

Horrible furniture though. I would get rid the sofa set up and replace the main bed as well . Buy something comfortable.

I agree. Furniture can be horrible here, but, it will last for 500 years or more.
And your right, no TV but that is not an issue for us.

I just LOVE the ice cream that they make in front of you on the street. It is the best ice cream I have ever had!! Our hotel in Siem Reap was $20/night. I also like the Red Piano restaurant--it has great steaks.

Amazing, Kelly. I've been going thru IPS as well and that's a great find for only $300. Hope I can find something a bit smaller than that though. I'd spend too much time cleaning it! But you found yourself a really nice place at a great price. And only a 6 month lease? Awesome!

For the life of me, I cannot understand why they cannot build a wall/partition around the shower so the whole bathroom does not get wet when showering. I actually know somebody in Thailand who slipped on the wet floor, hit his head, and died.
Yes, it is what it is. That's why we call it a typical Khmer bathroom.

How'd you get such a good deal? What location is it in? How much do you think utilities will be? Cool!
I went through IPS Apartment service. It is in the Psa Kroam area. Utilities should be under $50.

How did you find the apartment? It's lovely! Great job! That's exactly what I'm looking for! How much are your income taxes in Cambodia? How did you get your long term visa and how long did it take??? How many minutes are you from Pub Street (walking)?
I don't work in Cambodia so no taxes for me. 12-month visa cost me 280 + 10 agent fee. Q & A video I just finished tells you all about it. And, I'm about 25-30 walking to Pub Street.

looks like a good value on the apartment. I am sure the utilities will cost if you use much A/C. I have never seen dragon fruit in pots. Will be interesting to see if there is any fruit. Which area of Siem Reap is it located.

Yes and yes. I liked this place very much so I rented it. $300 is a good price. It was listed at $330 but I got a deal.
The place is only 5 years old. If it was like 15, it would probably be a bit cheaper.
