When you sense the greatness of the temple, it means you're spiritually connected with the builders from the past. Essentially, you're feeling their energy in that space...

Ankor Wat! What!?! at every turn. Like Charlie, I love photography. I used my old Minolta XLR camera until I could no longer find a place to develop. I haven't had the money for a digital. Someday. I will keep praying. The really nice thing about photographing places like Ankor Wat, is all the fine details you may not have seen initially. You cannot stand for hours looking at every little shadow or speck of light, eventually they will run you out. But a photograph allows you to see, even if it is years later. I almost missed the face in upper stage right of the doorway @ 11:48, looking down to the entrance. These people were amazing. Not only the workmanship, but the pride they took in their art. So very beautiful now, but can you imagine how magnificent the structures looked in the days they lived in the area. Thank you both for your continued sharing of these amazing places that I will most likely ever step foot near.
May God continue to bless you with peace in your journey, and peace in Jesus!

Thank you so much. Charlie started with a love of photography over a decade ago and now he forgets sometimes to pick up the "big camera" because we do so much filming now. Magic always happens when he does grab it though. So glad he did here. The details captured are just so fascinating to look at again and again. He says "thank you" too.

I can imagine what it was like 900 years ago. The trees growing on the ruins & becoming a part of them shows life will always find a way. I wonder how long it took before people quit living there, I can imagine many moved to where they could find work etc. and maintaining this place got too much before it was abandoned. Thanks so much for this particular adventure!

And OMG, you HAVE to make a large sized photo out of that gorgeous shot Charlie took of that incredible tree on the temple reaching up into the clouds like that-that’s a prize winner right there. 🏆 Maybe you could sell prints?

OMG!!! Part 2! I've literally been on the edge of my seat for days, waiting for this! And it didn't disappoint! The beauty and the reverence and majesty of these temples are just so amazing! And those trees, growing up and over the buildings is just a hint at why this vast temple complex was hidden for so long! The jungle literally swallowed it up and you could have just flown right over it and never knew it was there! And that they left some of the old trees , who's root structure is the only thing that's holding whole sections together! So freaking cool! And Charlie, your photography of it is magnificent! I can understand the loss for words to explain the grandeur that is Angkor Wat! It really defies all expectations! I wish so bad I could have seen it when it was newly completed! My, but that must have been mind bogglingly beautiful! Other worldly! And I know it's hot and to even just walk around with a camera or even just your phone is daunting in that oppressive heat, but thank you from the bottom of my heart! I will never be able to visit it on my own I could never handle the amount of walking and steps up and down in each temple and can't do it in my walker or a wheelchair, so your intimate view of the magnificent buildings, is as close as I will ever get to seeing the phenomenal enormity that is Angkor Wat ❣️
Those elephant carvings in that skinny hallway were ginormous and so wonderful! Every single carving is a little bit different than the one next to it. They don't just repeat the figure like many civilizations in history did. No, their carvings are just a bit different, each one, from another carving there! It may just be the clothing the person is wearing, or an item they are holding that separates them from any other, but it's there! And when every single surface of every single building is carved, it really is just mind boggling! I'm in awe of the skill of the artistry and skill that the temple builders possessed! It would have been so easy to repeat figures throughout the temples and it probably would have been expected! With that amount of carving, who would blame them!?! But wow! I looked for repeats as you panned through the carved walls. And I saw many similarities but not a repeat of the exact same figure, did I see! Amazing!
This has been just mind blowing! All of it so far! I will never forget this! I'm just sure you won't either! Thank you so much Liz and Charlie ❣️😮💕🙏❤️🎉❣️

It is amazing to see how they survive and have their baby's. I can't even believe such a beautiful place like this exists. The work involved in the one with all the heads, crazy amazing ! This video is somehow better than the last video of Angkor Wat! I really liked how you switched the view at 36:00 and the music. It was edited so well! Just a great touch, Charlie! Can you imagine playing hide n seek there? At night! I loved seeing that epic tree coming out of the temple. The gate of the dead, how cool?!! I bet it really is much better having a temple to explore yourselves versus with so many other sightseers around. It's just so fascinating to see all the carvings and slightly different styles of carving. All we can do is imagine what it must have been like inside the legendary city. But, the carvings give us a little glimpse. The person hanging from the elephant tusk was just so neat! You two are doing such a fantastic job of taking us along and narrating and sharing some truly epic camera views. 👍👍 way up for both of you making this incredible Angkor Wat series 👏 🙌 🫶

The trees were some of the best parts of these ruins. Gotta scroll through to see if we can see it. Thanks for watching!

Again, so many faces and each unique - just like you and I. You can’t help but assume they were of real people. What? The whole community?

You could really tell the artistry was done with such care. Almost like portraits of real people like you say. Yes, the whole community just disappeared and the ruins were discovered in the 1800s by a French guy.
