THE STAGE
With a golden age of cooperation and advancement now a distant memory, humanity has once again splintered into disparate factions all vying for supremacy.
In the midst of these Succession Wars, it is a dangerous and lucrative time to be a Mercenary.
THE STORY
As the inheritor of a once-glorious Mercenary company, reborn in the flames of its near destruction at the hands of conspiring factions, your quest for glory and revenge will stretch years and light-years as you chase threads of interstellar intrigue in your journey to become an elite MechWarrior and mercenary commander.
BATTLEMECHS
With over fifty unique ‘Mech chassis and hundreds of sub-variants, all fully-realized with high-fidelity models, damage states, and equipment, no two ‘Mechs are the same.
Whether acquired from scouring the markets of the Inner Sphere for rare and valuable chassis and equipment or salvaging directly from the wreckage of your annihilated enemies and the spoils of war, the maintenance and operation of your BattleMechs will be vital to your success both as a MechWarrior and a Mercenary outfit commander.
GAMEPLAY
The battlefields of the future are dominated by BattleMechs, hulking machines of war capable of leveling entire cities. As a BattleMech pilot you’ll rain havoc upon enemy ‘Mechs and targets, including tanks, ground vehicles, aircraft, advanced defenses, and reinforced bases.
Few things can withstand the power of a ‘Mech for long, and the worlds of the Inner Sphere are veritable playgrounds of destruction awaiting your shielding defense or crushing devastation.
THE INNER SPHERE
Containing thousands of star systems and an array of unique biomes, the Inner Sphere is alive with activity, purpose, consequence, and variety. Systems will be captured and reclaimed, major events will unfold, and new technologies will be introduced.
The rigors of war will be seen with each passing week as your relationships with the various factions fluctuate according to the relentless Succession Wars and your choices as the leader of a Mercenary outfit.
THE MERC LIFE
Rebuild your Mercenary Corporation from the ashes. Build your reputation with the MRBC to negotiate the best contracts.
Recruit pilots and maintenance crews to keep your Group running in tip top shape. Keep your fellow MechWarriors alive and watch them build experience and skills to help you complete your objectives with minimal losses and maximum profit!
FEATURES
With the vast scope of the Inner Sphere and its complex system of world generation providing huge variety and replayability, the MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries experience need never end. Outside the campaign, a fully-featured Instance Action system will allow you to customize and kick off isolated missions at any time, free from campaign restrictions.
With four-player co-op supported both within the campaign and the Instant Action system you can experience the full breadth of MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries universe alongside your friends.
In case you didn't know... When you're in the Salvage window, simply click once (or twice) on the "Value" column to sort salvage! Makes it easier to see the highest value salvage at the top! :)
Pro Tip
I have like 690 million right now on my career account. You can actually do multi missions then when you finish one instead of clicking a to continue click back unclick the mechs you selected and you still get the salvaged mechs and keep your salvage points.
...Doesn't that seem like a glitch?
I been simping for House Davion until I'm hero standing with them. They pay me like 3mil and 40 salvage points at a time for even low difficulty missions.
you aint the only one
Just so you know, the salvage % by what parts are taken off has come out lately and Legging a mech has the lowest % to have the mech in salvage. Head shots were almost guaranteed to be in salvage and even (cored) mechs had a higher % than legged mechs. There are mods that correct this however.
Honestly, the key to making money was just to play the game a lot. You start to fill up on the mechs you want and you don’t get very desperate for more. I have almost 200 million right now and a stockpile of probably pushing 100 mechs in cold storage. That’s a lot of money if I need to sell some.
Keep in mind guys that you will sell any item at 40% of its value. A 100.000 C-Bill component will be sold for 40.000.
Keep that in mind when allocating salvage shares.
You might be better of by putting the points into other components than those that have the highest value because of the salvage share to component value ratio.
Also, oftentimes it's a better idea to salvage for components than for Mechs because of that reason.
The easiest way to make money & fastest is to get firecracker with machine guns, and just run it solo. You can do it even with 100 difficult missions (with a restart if you get unlucky salvo in the face). Cost of repair is only 150-300k and you put all negotiation points into extra c-bills. Even in later stage I always solo demo missions (unless its multiple contract and i have a lot of salvage)
Do you mean firestarter?
When it comes to making money, Tony Montana pops into your mind
Run around in a fast little 20 point thing like a wasp & put your crew in higher point mechs always seems to work well
Or you could get Cheat Engine, load up MW5 process, find the offset for your C-bills, & edit it to whatever amount. I hate grinding any game for money. Buy any mechs right out of the gate.
Also don't forget the more mech you have on you but don't use....your still paying storage fees...
I find these tips don't really help, especially being a lower tier player currently.
I only have a few Locusts and a Centurion, which are great.
I have done a few multi mission, missions and they are great for salvage when mechs do come up but it's not always guaranteed (what is guaranteed however is that you can never normally get enough salvage to actually pull one or two...)
- for the record my Davion bargaining is +5/6 now which is great but still doesn't really help..
When you do receive mechs they cost so much to repair, when you sell them, you've basically broken even.
That coupled with your wages and jumps to the next conflict zone, you're then at a loss.
Not to mention the 'conflict zone repairs'
• Your mech will cost an extra £200,000 to repair in this conflict zone and take 50 more days; so you should:
• Jump to industrial zone that is 2-4 jumps there (AND BACK) which is an even higher cost in both time and resources...
It feels like the game will _probably_ snowball once I get some heavier chassis but even then, I know it costs 2x or even 3x the amount of c-bills to repair heavier mechs so again, it's not economical...
The game is really fun and compelling, but especially on PS5, it needs a huge amount of polish still.
I just started playing on PS4 Pro and I find most of the tips outdated or inaccurate. Like the "invest money to make money".. the more pilots/mechs I have the less money I do due to maintenance.. So I try to squeeze as much as I can with only 2 mechs, but I get my ass handed to me and get back to look for tips.
@@gustavosanchez1146 oh no you do definetly need atleast 4 mechs and 6 pilots. early missions are alot easier when you have a full squad.
So when it comes to repairing I always thought the added cost is accounting for the travel cost. Even with those is it still cheaper?
This is fantastic
it is not the money, it is the FAME!
thanks i'll try this out!
I keep getting told and not to do multi mission contracts and now I'm being told to do em
I think you should sell the 'Mech and salvage in the hub as well. If I recall, having a good standing increases the gain there a fair bit.
maybe a best in tonage mech list/guide. both for players AND for AI's... no really comprehensive lists/gildes out there.least not by people that actaly play.
Good call. I’d need more wheel time to make that but I can try
I cant even handle level 16 difficulty. Im broke with only 478k.im stuck
Heh heh. I already made big money. It may or may not be quick as your saying but I got so far over 600,000.000 C-Bills. Almost to 700,000.000. This is the best game I ever play by far. Life was good with Specter Lance. But with Masons team it was better. Instead only for a while it’s gonna be a long time.
How are you lowering lvls?
But this is not possible when you start the campaign, you simply do not have access to heavy and assault mechs.
You can do it with eight of any mech
@@MrGPlays Huh?
@@igorbukovy4313 He's saying you can do the mission with Med mechs
@@exodus2oo sure.
I have seen a few You Tubers doing MW5 vids , and their lace Icon is not the Eridani Light Calvary [Blue Pony] . I can't do that in my version of the game. Is it possible? Or did they do some 3rd party alterations?
Mods maybe?
Hey g, how ya doin? Ive been pretty annoyed lately about crossout and what it used to be, now its becoming fortnite now i guess, what are your opinions on it?
Let’s wait for the next big release
How u making money when u have pay for savage mech for alot and sell for less ,i guess im dum and missing something lol.
Find missions in a string, where you can jump from system to system engaging missions
After a mission fix the mechs, if they take more than 13 days to repair just advance time a little
It takes 13 days to move 1 system so when you arrive everyone is good to go
At the start it's probably best to put neg points into max C-bill payout
You don't have to chase the campaign missions..
If you got decent mechs you can repair in combat zones
They will only be taking minimal damage
If you get hammered travel back to non-combat zone, repair, then go back in
At start of game here, I'm running around in a 20 point wasp
The rest of the team uses the good mechs
On the missions- run around in that little wasp
Let the lads do the heavy lifting
I personally want a written tutorial on this
Salvaging and selling components is better value per salvage point when dealing with scout tonnage mechs.
Check on you math
