Have you ever ran across plank that's defected from the factory, I'm laying some. Some are shiny, and some are more dull. Wondering if something like this would fix that.

Im using distilled vinegar for less than $1 with warm/hot water from kitchen faucet and a Rubbermaid grout scrubber. Let the water sit for several minutes, use grout scrubber head to remove paint that’s sitting on top of floor and within the creases. It takes time but it is working. My floors look healthy and clean. Painters need to do a better job protecting floors when painting. By the way, I will add a small amount of Quick Shine polish using flat mop with microfiber cover. So far, I’m very pleased with the results.
I think Quick Shine left a foggy residue on mine
Installer using dirty rags and dirty water does that. Usually water from a bucket that was used to clean off the glue trowel.

Thanks for mentioning that vinyl floors are pre-finished.We’re considering doing most of the downstairs of our small home in rigid core vinyl plank, probably a floating type. Storage for all the displaced furniture, etc is a challenge though, especially since we want to paint before the new flooring goes in as well, and then do new baseboards too. Would there be a problem with completing installation in two bedrooms and a hallway, moving the furniture back in, and then completing installation in the kitchen and living room?

@@Jaylowrider oh yea, you go try demo a bathroom, cut out original sheet rock, then install new backer boards throughout around the shower and floors, install the tiles, grout the tiles, replace shower and vanity faucets, replace vanity lights, and install new toilet… I pay 1800 labor for that… so you not going to tell me especially an investor those consumer prices lol for buffering floors. Also I never mentioned anything about your work being easy

@@KrossKountry595 yeah well I charge $9700 for what you said, and we use Wedi system, or Ardex TLT with dry pack and flofx drain. Along with a flexbone uncoupling membrane. Using backer board is a rookie move and your cheating your customers from real waterproofing.
