I gotta know what homeboy is using for his title card animations. You’re killing me, man. Poor man’s pro tip: export those as a video from Keynote, splice them in, then, using your Final Cut or whatever.
@@EricStrebel 100% I just don't understand what is taking so long. I've never had them in hand to compare, so just going off eyes here on TH-cam reviews, but the quality all seems to be similar. Great for taking measurements and re-modeling something in fusion as you do, but for those of us looking for organic uses like archiving models, statues, etc the technology is worthless.
I just got mine and I'm quite impressed. A tip for cleaning up in the software - select just the can and invert the selection. That's much quicker.
Pretty sweet at that price point. I am very interested. Any noted shortcomings?
Mainly just the same shortcomings that they all have is that there's no display built into the unit.
5:23 what issues did you run into exactly? That's useful information!
Needed tech support to help me with the setting for the scan
Hi Eric,
Have you used it yet on any objects with undercuts where one needs to move the scanner around a lot more to capture such details?
Cheers :-)
Nope
What are the minimum system requirements to work with scanner? Or to be precise, what are your pc specifications?
Just got one. And a lense does not work very well. Did you had the same problem?
No, not that I recall
On the turn table they skimped out on the resistors, so a real USB PD compatible power supply with a USB Type C jack will not give any power.
Terrible to do that
My turntable works fine with some of my USB-C to USB-C cables
Lucky for you! I am jealous

All final cut
Looks awful. 3D scanning just isn't there.
It still has some evolution to go through

Photogrammetry may be a better option for your application
I`ve seen better scans elsewhere of cans with this scanner. i dont think those marker pens and lack of proper markers helped with this example
