Just keep in mind that youtube is social media- the highlights. Where you can paint a picture however you want it to be portrayed. Whether that's negative or positive. Postpartum depression is real and every mama is different, every family function is different and every children's needs are different. Try your best and use this to inspire you, but don't feel bad if you have highs and lows throughout the day. If your life isn't as 'perfect' as sarah's it's because you aren't seeing all of her. Things are edited out, this isn't literally a 24 hour long video. If you are tired and you can barely hang in there. Where you find yourself constantly balancing between selfishness or self care, having no husband to stay at home and help you all day; just pray and seek the Lord all day. Ask Him to give you strength and thank Him for these blessings EVEN when it doesn't 'feel' like it because the bible SAYS they are a heritage of the Lord. Same here! We're only pregnant with our first but would love to have 5 or more, God willing, someday. The looks we get especially as the first isn't quite here yet are usually "🤨😳"
That's like thinking someone is nuts for wanting only one kid or no kids. Only you know what's best for your life and your family. Coming from 1 of 6. Large families rule but no kids is also cool

This is what I’m so grateful for, my husband is a chef, and we have two additional needs preschoolers and I’m 31 weeks pregnant (I will be induced around 37-38 weeks) and when he goes back to work, I know he will do a lot of cooking/ making dinners on his break to help out while we create a routine. Everything else will fall behind, but I’m ok with that. Feeding the family is more important than housework.
Ivy is at that perfect age for helping! My girls were such a help with my little man at the same age! Such a beautiful family! Very sweet! I’be graduated past the “last newborn in the family” at this point…lol….so I’ll just reminisce vicariously through you and your sweet babes! 🙏🏼✨💖

I am so inspired by your ability to get back into your routine and add all the new parts of your newborn. I’m having a hard time at 3 1/2 weeks just getting off the couch.
Everyone is so different! It took my stitches 2 weeks ro heal and thats when I started resting for real. Some baby's don't give a nice stretch like Molly does. Everyone has a different experience. Sarah is very inspiring especially the way she really takes care of herself cause that's what gives her energy to then take care of her kids home husband and work. But we are all different and if you need the three weeks to get back on your feet don't compare yourself to others!

My first and only so far was a horrific refluxer from day one (slowly improving at 8 months) , and as much as I adore her now I literally cannot reconcile the kind of screaming, thrashing, inconsolable, very sore baby she was with other little ones I see. I’m pregnant with my first & I feel like everyone is preparing me for total craziness, depression & disaster but I feel like if I simplify it, am not so hard on myself for things to be perfect & with the awesome husband I have it’ll be beautiful!! This seems so unreal to me… I’m a mother of 1 baby girl, she is 10 months old now and is the sweetest little fairy, but my first months with her looked nothing like you and Molly. She cried so much, she was collicky and she never settled herself to sleep. We always had to carry her in my arms, otherwise she would cry. When she woke up in the middle of the night we had to carry her, jump on a ball or do squats in order to put her back to sleep! Later on I discovered that she is just a high-need baby, she needs us all the time. It was kind of a traumatic experience for me. I always wanted to have a big family like you but those few months were not a happy motherhood for me, and now I’m thinking that I’m fine with one… its great to see other people enjoying their parenthood!!!
Same. The first 3-4 months with my daughter were just brutal. Very very bad bf issues because of her tongue tie, very tensed mouth and neck muscles (no matter how much I tried, I could not fix her v bad latch), switched to formula at 8 weeks because I was on the brink of depression at that point,she was also very colicky until about 3 months and those issues combined with a difficult birth and postpartum recovery.....really made me not want go through another newborn phase. I always wanted 2 kids, but I don't think I could handle another newborn. Just thinking about it makes me cry.
My first was so hard as well with sleep for the first year. He was a huge baby and I had to bounce and walk him around all night to get him to go back to sleep. My back hurt so bad. Thankfully my second was not as hard
Is she vaccinated? I worked at a pediatric office and that seemed to be “normal” for recently vaccinated children. I would always ask your doctor though..many reasons but that one seemed to be the main reason in our office.
I hope you know you are who I aspire to be as a mother. Your kids look so well behaved and calm, and you just give off a beautiful vibe. Hope having this baby is going well ❤️

You are doing amazing for 2 weeks postpartum with 4 children. Your daughter who wanted to help you with Molly reminded me of myself at that age with my 2 younger sisters. I am #6 out of 8 children and I was 3 when my next sister was born and 5 when the youngest arrived. I always had a special way with babies and children which greatly influenced my decision to become a elementary school teacher.
I love the feel and calmness of this, but I also wonder how realistic this is? Does your baby not cry at all? How much help do you get during the day? Just thinking of other mamas watching this who may be wondering if they are doing something wrong because their days with a newborn don’t come close to yours.

I will say, I very much enjoy watching your pregnancy/postpartum updates and vlogs! ☺️ I’m just starting my 8th week of pregnancy, and I feel like when I first found out, I was reading all the articles I could about pregnancy and others’ experiences, to try and relate to. Now I’ve like overloaded my brain and it feels like usually it’s too much to see others’ experiences or advice. But not your channel and content, and I appreciate you so much 🤗
It’s so crazy 😅. In the first weeks after I gave birth I literally did nothing household-wise. My husband did. I “just” recovered from a (good) home birth and bonded with my little boy. My midwife was so great and she’s also a lactation consultant, so that was helpful, too. She urged me to do as less as possible in the first few weeks, so my body can heal as fast as possible from the big wound inside and also to enjoy the time with my baby, because time is flying by and the work in the house can be done from somebody else 🙌🏻. Food trains are also very good or cooking in advance and freezing it, so you don’t have to deal with cooking either.
I’ve only been married 9 months, three quarters of the way through getting my bachelors degree, not in a mental or physical state to get pregnant, but I SUDDENLY I WANT A BABY! 😩
I done messed around and stayed away for a year of your life (maybe more) and now you have another whole child 💀💀 IM SO HAPPY THAT YOU LOVE LIFE! My first and only so far was a horrific refluxer from day one (slowly improving at 8 months) , and as much as I adore her now I literally cannot reconcile the kind of screaming, thrashing, inconsolable, very sore baby she was with other little ones I see. I hope my next birth is like yours, and maybe the first days with my next baby will be more like this. You are an inspiration

I’m pregnant with my first & I feel like everyone is preparing me for total craziness, depression & disaster but I feel like if I simplify it, am not so hard on myself for things to be perfect & with the awesome husband I have it’ll be beautiful!! It looks so beautiful in this with things being simple & a supportive family . ❤️

This seems so unreal to me… I’m a mother of 1 baby girl, she is 10 months old now and is the sweetest little fairy, but my first months with her looked nothing like you and Molly. She cried so much, she was collicky and she never settled herself to sleep. We always had to carry her in my arms, otherwise she would cry. When she woke up in the middle of the night we had to carry her, jump on a ball or do squats in order to put her back to sleep! Later on I discovered that she is just a high-need baby, she needs us all the time. It was kind of a traumatic experience for me. I always wanted to have a big family like you but those few months were not a happy motherhood for me, and now I’m thinking that I’m fine with one… its great to see other people enjoying their parenthood!!!
Same. The first 3-4 months with my daughter were just brutal. Very very bad bf issues because of her tongue tie, very tensed mouth and neck muscles (no matter how much I tried, I could not fix her v bad latch), switched to formula at 8 weeks because I was on the brink of depression at that point,she was also very colicky until about 3 months and those issues combined with a difficult birth and postpartum recovery.....really made me not want go through another newborn phase. I always wanted 2 kids, but I don't think I could handle another newborn. Just thinking about it makes me cry.
My first was so hard as well with sleep for the first year. He was a huge baby and I had to bounce and walk him around all night to get him to go back to sleep. My back hurt so bad. Thankfully my second was not as hard
Is she vaccinated? I worked at a pediatric office and that seemed to be “normal” for recently vaccinated children. I would always ask your doctor though..many reasons but that one seemed to be the main reason in our office.
True that! Mine cried non stop for 4 months. Such a different experience. I still see red every time I hear a baby cry.

You are doing amazing for 2 weeks postpartum with 4 children. Your daughter who wanted to help you with Molly reminded me of myself at that age with my 2 younger sisters. I am #6 out of 8 children and I was 3 when my next sister was born and 5 when the youngest arrived. I always had a special way with babies and children which greatly influenced my decision to become a elementary school teacher.

I love the feel and calmness of this, but I also wonder how realistic this is? Does your baby not cry at all? How much help do you get during the day? Just thinking of other mamas watching this who may be wondering if they are doing something wrong because their days with a newborn don’t come close to yours.

I will say, I very much enjoy watching your pregnancy/postpartum updates and vlogs! ☺️ I’m just starting my 8th week of pregnancy, and I feel like when I first found out, I was reading all the articles I could about pregnancy and others’ experiences, to try and relate to. Now I’ve like overloaded my brain and it feels like usually it’s too much to see others’ experiences or advice. But not your channel and content, and I appreciate you so much 🤗
It’s so crazy 😅. In the first weeks after I gave birth I literally did nothing household-wise. My husband did. I “just” recovered from a (good) home birth and bonded with my little boy. My midwife was so great and she’s also a lactation consultant, so that was helpful, too. She urged me to do as less as possible in the first few weeks, so my body can heal as fast as possible from the big wound inside and also to enjoy the time with my baby, because time is flying by and the work in the house can be done from somebody else 🙌🏻. Food trains are also very good or cooking in advance and freezing it, so you don’t have to deal with cooking either.
