What's your point? And I am a traditional wife. My husband leaves for work every morning, I stay home and care for our home and homeschool our children myself. No unrealistic expectations or lifestyle here. What is unrealistic for you isn't necessarily unrealistic for another. Such a narrow-minded comment!
I think you misunderstood my comment. I also stay home with the kids, homeschool, and would be considered a traditional wife. :) we are in this together! The unrealistic expectations I meant refer to the “trad wife” culture that’s seeping into social media. If you look into that a bit, you may see what I mean. The things some influencers are showing are super unrealistic, often because they aren’t solo parenting most of the day. They are actually the breadwinners via social media. To me that is different than being traditional.

@JJ-ch3bj Ah, I see. You're correct; I completely misunderstood your comment, and I apologize for my harsh response! If only more people were like this. My dog (border collie) is scared of little dogs and huskies (been attacked by both in the past while we were out walking). And I can't even tell you the number of times someone has been pulled over by their "friendly" husky as they were snarling at my dog or the times she has been swarmed by little dog that were "friendly" but wouldn't listen to their owners call them back. The fact that she takes a sabbath, regardless of what day it is, is wonderful. I don’t think getting religious about it and bashing what day she does it on is helpful in any way 🤷🏼♀️
I get you on the day, but the point is to remember the sabbath Day to keep it holy. We rest because the Most High himself rested on the 7th day. Let's not squabble on the particular day. Are we Christians as concerned with our killing of sin and the Lord's holiness as much as we are sticking to our fellow brothers and sisters? If so, there is a problem with our heart posture and we need to cultivate humility. Which of course is what the Lord Jesus himself exemplified.
The Lord is specific about the day and we need to be as well if we are going to call it Sabbath. We cannot make up our own stuff just because it's popular right now for everyone to take a Sabbath day and make it be whatever day they want.
This would just depend on your specific theology. As I'm sure you know, Jewish culture/sects typically go by Saturday, and Christians typically go by the day of Christ's resurrection. Legalism is when we get hooked on the day, instead of the intent. The Lord searches the heart. I think our greater battle is contending for the good the right and true and calling sin and evil for what it is. I would be careful with squabbling, Jesus warned the Jewish authorities and leaders who were getting hooked on religious legalism to search their hearts and examine their motives. I say this in love, but when Christians squabble more over these small interpretations, but at the same time can't get right things like homosexuality, abortion, etc being objectively evil and sinful, we have a HUGE problem in the church.
I wish my mom had been half as nurturing as Sarah. She displays many qualities of a trad wife. Her being the primary income earner annoys me, but it’s her life and she seems content.

What annoys you about the fact that she could be the primary income earner? Why would that be an issue?
It can be emasculating for men. Men are designed to be the primary provider and protector.
She s narcistis enough
