I just want to put this out there. I'm not a christian but I am still absolutely inspired by you as a human + mother. It doesn't bother me in the least if you're religious or not because, somehow, I can still very much relate to you. I acknowledge that we're only seeing small segments of your life here on the internet and it's never the full picture, but I am completely in awe over how terrific you seem to be balancing motherhood and your own life. You seem very organized and in control. You were the first person to inspire me to live a more simple, minimalistic lifestyle. And let me say, as a mother, it has helped me find more time in my days when living more simply. Thank you for sharing these precious moments of your life with us. It all goes to show that whatever your religious or nonreligious viewpoints are, it shouldn't matter - you can still find a connection with others. Congratulations on your new baby daughter! Take care.

Just a note.. Christianity isn’t “religion.” It’s a relationship with God and Jesus Christ our savior. In the Bible, it refers to religious folks as pharisees. The pharisees were lawful which most people think of when they think of Christians. Being lawful in example would be.. If someone was judging you for a particular sin or for not going to church every sunday, when they’re not even perfect in their own lives. That’s the best way I can describe it haha.. Like if someone said, “oh you’re not christian, you have tattoos!!” This person acts like they know your salvation or the contents of your heart. It’s judgement, which only God has the right of. We’re taught by Jesus to love one another no matter what. To carry our cross in life(to live for others, not ourselves). If everyone lived like this, the world would be a very different place. I hope this made sense☺️

That’s because she’s a Christian! She’s put her faith and trust in Jesus and that’s why she behaves that way. Just imagine someone saying bad words because of labor I mean no offense to those moms but i just wanna point out the difference.

i saw something on another birth vlog that I thought was really cool and would do if I was ever giving birth again (but those days are gone, lol). Anyhow, the mom wrote out prayers on some index cards (praise/petition and intercession/supplication/& thanksgiving) and while she was laboring, she had her husband praying them over her. It was really amazing. I love the scripture idea, too!

And the other thing that stands out in your birth story is that when the contractions reduced you and the team remained calm and let your body do what it needed to do, i feel like in the hospital they would have gave you some medication to "get done with it". No shame to hospitals but i think they are impatient with our bodies.

That you had your children right there w your mother is so awesome!! How wonderful for your children to see you during that time, usually the children are kept far away and I always thought that was not the best way. What a nurturing support system, your husband, your mom & sister, and your children, and your midwife. I think the combs help transfer the sensation of pain, what a great idea. I had to have an epidural and I always admire the women who have natural births, so awesome. The epidural and drugs really dull the experience and affect the bonding. The same thing happened to me! My labor was stalled and I felt alllllll the pelvic pain and turns out he was stuck on my pelvic bone! This was my first baby and home birth. It was truly so special!!

I just think after listening to you, what an awesome encouragement you are and would be to any Mom especially a first-time mom. Rewind 25 years ago... If I'd known you then, what an awesome encouragement that would have been to me. Because I feel like I was pretty clueless as a new wife even with a wonderful supporting husband. But that's not how God had it planned out. He has you here now to lift up and encourage mamas on this day and time. Thanking God for all the mamas out there. And like you, Sarah, The Mamas who can be real open and honest because it's a huge blessing! I love how confident and natural you are with your children. Sending you and your family wellness and love! The gift of motherhood is huge😍❤❤❤

I love birth stories. The first video of yours that I watched was when Elizabeth was born. My births were over 30 years ago. I never really wanted a home birth or water birth. I didnt want to deal with the clean up. I didnt feel like I needed a support team besides my husband. I felt like labor was completely in my power to manage. For my second and third babies I labored at home, walking, doing laundry and such, resting between contraction. I felt like I was made perfectly for pregnancy, labor, birth and mothering. It is so cool to remember that time in my life. ❤

Thank you for sharing your birth story in such detail, it's so great to hear stories such as yours! I also wanted to thank you for being so candid on having to poop during labor; it's something so normal, I don't understand why people are still surprised/embarrassed when they hear it happens. Women are literally pushing a live human out of their bodies, it would actually be more surprising if they didn't poop as well hahaha. Love your videos and I hope you have a wonderful weekend!!!

Yeah, I tried to keep my screaming down during my home birth for my daughter's sake. Lots of pillow screaming. And I also pooped a lot! Even my midwife said it was a lot lol😅
Another neat thing was my husband said I was really hot to the touch. He couldn't believe the heat coming off me. I actually don't remember feeling hot. Labor is a LOT, ya'll.

There are major creeps online that take screenshots of children’s faces for their sick purposes. Many parents are uncomfortable with that. It’s perfectly normal to want to protect the privacy of one’s children online.
