Is the Cordoba Stage the ultimate nylon-string for shredders? | Guitar.com

  • Nylon-string guitar and shred might not be traditional bedfellows but thanks to the likes of Polyphia's Tim Henson, that might be about to change.
But playing on a traditional classical guitar can be a tricky one for electric players - even ones used to the flat wide boards of a shred guitar - but the Cordoba Stage promises a second way.
With a neck and body that's more accommodating to electric players, might this be the perfect nylon-shred guitar?

Beautiful playing. Thank you. I have one and I love it.

nice review and awesome playing! It looks like a perfect guitar to get into the nylon guitar world for electric player and into the hybrid picking territory among everything else. But does it neck dive? My main electric is a Strandberg, so I am very far away from the neck heavy stuff.

Have you played the Fusion 12 Rose ii? How does it sound/differ from the Stage? Great it!

Awesome playing and I love the sound! But, what amp are you playing through? Or, at least what amp would you normally play the cordoba stage through? Thanks :)

Have you had any intonation issues and what is the action like? Thanks.

Is that the amber version? They have a Stage Traditional with 52 mm nut width, while the others are 48 mm.

Very good looking electro classical guitar. How does this compare to Tim Henson's Ibanez?

Man, it stomps a mudhole in Ibanez's ass. This thing sounds waaaaaaay better than the Tim Henson. It sounds like an actual full-bodied classical guitar while Tim's sounds like a toy. The body blend knob is absolutely genius and beautiful 😍
And yes, this thing handles pedals extremely well. You'll need to turn the body blend to zero when using distortion/fuzz and stand away from the amp to avoid feedback. Other than that, it sounds like an electric guitar is supposed to when pedals are applied.
I am so happy with my purchase. I really dont need any other guitar. It sounds like a classical and it also takes pedals as good as any other. Buy it

@@cactu5jack Awesomeness, thank you for the detailed review. I couldn't find one at the local guitar center, they are selling like hotcakes! And yes that Tim Henson sounds like a muted acoustic guitar underwater. 😅

@@cactu5jackPlus you don't have to think of Tim Henson while you're playing it.

Я бы не отказался от такой гитары. А сколько цена, стоймость гитары интересно 😅
