Need more Attorneys to post videos about the common shady tactics hospitals use. Having more available information from the legal experts would ultimately ensure more patients who are harmed have the information they need to move forward. These videos would make it easier and swifter for sick patients to easily find the information they need in a timely manner and to get care (medical and legal) after negligence, abandonment and provider denials that we endure. Doctors have been bought up by large entities the littlest thing can turn into the tightest lips and further harm a patient's health with further delays in needed care. Please post more. I am subscribing. Thank you for such an original and informative video.

I am starting tomorrow. Hospital staff is being suspicious. They refused to treat me after my unwanted c-section with 27 weeks gestational twins. Their behavior has not gone unnoticed by me.

I'll be embarking on this journey soon. My mother recently passed after an angioplasty gone wrong. Her friend said she had a heart attack in the hospital that was ignored and left untreated for a full day. The first lawyers I talked to declined to take the case, but I didn't have any information. So, maybe if I get the medical records and the autopsy report, they or another firm will consider it. Or maybe at 75 year old, there's no money in the case.

Brilliant advice and great step by step instructions. Do get a copy of your medical records. Especially if you've had any complications from a medical procedure. The hospital may inform you and down play the situation or talk in a manner that seems to have your best interest at heart, but may be more to it like Malpractice and a medical mistake.

Every patient in the US is granted a civil right of access to their own treatment records. When you know better, you DO better! Shouldn't we KNOW what's in our records?

Thanks very much! I'm from Belgium, we don't have identical laws. But this certainly gives me some good ideas. I know that certain records have been falsified. I just need to prove it.

Thank you, especially for the audit trail tip. Can you handle a false imprisonment case in Arkansas? It concerns a state agency hospital keeping a man 14 days against his will and performing highly invasive procedures. The giving him a $47,000 bill.

@@JohnFisherLawyer The new Final Rule is set to be published in the Federal Register in March, John. All of our lobbying to the HHS and OCR have paid off. Ciox v. Azar will be nullified and patient access will be even FURTHER strengthened. It's like Christmas in July, but in March. LOL!

How do you get all of your records contained in the mass digital nationwide systems such as EPIC, especially if you have lived in multiple states or travel frequently?

Is there a separate set of records for patients with mental health issues prescribed controlled substances? I’m being portrayed as an addict because I am on ADHD meds, antidepressants? Have been almost my whole adult life. But it seems my doctor is treating me as if I have addiction history, I don’t but I’m wondering if there is a record somewhere indicating untruths that is tainting how doctors converse about adhd meds!
