I had 2 different attorneys say that they would represent me in a major medical malpractice suit. The first one kept blowing me off, saying they’re waiting for records or needing to review them. After 1 year I terminated them. I found out they never even requested my records. Attorney # 2 did get records but sat on them, doing nothing. After 10 months I demanded a formal suit be filed before the end of the month. He then quit on being my attorney and notified the court he had intended to file, but now wasn’t going to. That left me one month to find a new attorney, have them look into the case and file an action. No one wanted to do that. When the 2 year statute of limitations expired, the hospital system filed a complaint barring me from ever suing them in this matter. I had no representation to avoid this and now I’m not only permanently disabled, my finances have been wiped out completely.
