Great Video. I have been collecting Fps for 2 years and Sailor is the one of the missing ones. This video helped me in a way towards deciding the Nib width for the pen I am considering. Thanks again and please continue to share your thoughts :)
Great review I enjoyed it very much. I have two Sailor 1911 Compass in MF nib and now they work great but in the beginning, they were too dry, so dry that they hardly wrote at all, after some tweaking the lines are fine, dark, and wet, now I love the pens. A tiny bit of advice, you have someone else on the camera which is great but when you are writing they need to stand behind and to the side, so the writing is not upside down which is very distracting.
Out of many video comparing Sailor nibs, you are the only one who explained the difference between MF and M: it's more about their feedback than the line width. Mystery solved...
Hi Kate, great video! I am sorry that I am late for the party; this only came up in my suggested videos to watch today. I haven't had much experience with Sailor pens and I didn't know that it was in the top 3 Japanese fountain pen manufacturers. I favour extra fine to fine nibs as I have no choice in the quality of paper I get to use [at work; recycled photocopier paper]. I liked your camera setup and might have made it easier for you to write without camera getting in your way. Please can you do more videos; as you are a natural.
Oh, oh, I just ordered a medium fine today (May 5, 2024). I have a Sailor I9II w/fine nib. It writes well, but just too fine for me. I'm hoping the mf does the trick. I don't mind a little feedback. Thanks for your informative video.
Love sailor but be careful if you try and smooth them they are ground way different then the standard euro Ball we are used to and kind of like a football shape
I love Sailor pens and I love big pens (like they King of Pen in both 1911 and Pro) but those big pens don’t come in anything smaller than a medium, and I want fine (or extra fine). Any solutions from your perspective?
I really like your energy and you pronounce the Japanese words correctly! If I could provide one helpful tip is to to try to edit out or try to say um less. Your information is all correct but the ums take away from your authority. Please keep the videos coming. We need some more women fountain pen youtubers!

I thought the four season versions only have MF nib. Where did you get ur XF one? I'm looking for this combination for a long time.

Why no addtl videos? You did a great job on this one and have very nice hand-writing - just turn the video camera during the writing sample
