I’d still love to have the 1911 Large with the 21k nib. It’s a classic looking pen!!
My Sailor Pro Gear Realo in a fine nib is my favorite pen. It never disappoints me.
I love Sailor's nibs but I believe that their special releases are the most over priced pens on the market. As for large fp sections being unusable with ink bottles with narrow necks, there's always the ink meiser which I use regularly with my larger pens.
"Pack of skittles thrown at you with lightning speeds" hahhahahhaahha
I like both, but in the 1911L shape. Cigar shape is classier IMO. As for colours... I think I'd pick the Epinard as my favourite.
I went with best of both worlds, got me a 1911 Realo in GT with a H-M nib. Best writer I have and use it daily at work as the other option the is cheap ballpoints our company provides. I don't mind the filling mechanism/bottle compatibility as I tend to stick to one larger bottle of ink until it runs out. Currently inked up with Herbin's Lie De Thé and writing on the Rhodia Ivory paper, love that combo with warmer tones and amazing shading.
The NMF nib of Sailor 1911 is popular in Chinese calligraphy.
I just purchased the realo. it was 50% off at kinokuniya
Have been using my Pro Gear Realo piston fill with during October with Diamine Autumn Oak. The Realo is a bit short for me but like the piston fill & Music nib really brings out the shading in this lovely ink.
I’d definitely go for a black or burgundy pen. The colours are nice and all but it’s my conservative tastes maybe? Seems “unnatural” to have anything but black. That way you don’t get bored with the colours. Also they must be cheaper, right? Black for the win! (As they used to say). Great videos. Thank you so much.
I have been interested in the Realo for years. The price has been very prohibitive in comparison to the 1911L. I am surprised that the ink capacity is relatively small for the Realo. Can you rove the section so you can clean the ink chamber thoroughly? If not, I think it may not be worth the money.
I also have a King of Pen. Sailor could have made a larger converter for it. I have filled the barrel using an eyedropper. I know that many people would be against doing this but the section is gold plated and I did not see any corrosion or pitting or staining.
Thats a very nice blue ink! Whats the name?
it's Queen :) made in Vietnam

I got the 1911L(rhodium demonstrator), KOP(gold trim), Pro Gear standard, & Shikiori Snow Moon. Now thinking about the Realto
