    The Night's King "was man by the light of day, but the night was his to rule". Sounds like Bloodraven telling Bran he will love the darkness, making the Night's King a Bran-like figure. Winners write history.

      That vision Danny saw, in the house of the undying, of a Wolf King sitting at a banquet of the dead wasn't just a vision of Robb Stark. Somehow Gromm the Wolf ties into this as well and Hardhome may be the key to why people betrayed him. It seems like the Nights king broke the norms and traditions of his time and had his own red wedding as a result. Perhaps they married him to a tree instead of his bride.

    I believe you are correct. I dont think the others have a beef with the first men because the first men worship the old gods just like the others. This explains why the white walkers didnt kill Sam when he was left behind by Ed and Gren. While he was kneeling behind the rock a white walker looked right at him and just kept going. If you remember when Jon and Sam were taking their vows for the nights watch Sam chose to be sworn in with Jon at the weirwood tree north of the wall. The reason i bring this up is because in the show Aliser Thorn made a big deal about it. He said to Sam that house Tarly worshipped the seven. Why would you forsake your gods? Sam said that the seven never answered his prayers so he might as well take his vows with the old Gods and maybe they would answer his prayers. The NK and the others use the weirwoods to see everything. They saw Jon and Sam take their vows to the Old Gods infront of that weirwood. I believe this is a vary important fact. Why else would the show have Alliser thorn make a big deal about it? I believe that this all has to do with religion. Just like real life wars in human history are over religion.

      HOW did that Other see Sam? He was looking straight ahead, NOT down. Sam was on the ground, hiding behind a large boulder. Also, don't you think they would have spared Waymar Royce? They challenged him to a duel because they thought he was a Stark.

    • @sophiawilson8696
      @sophiawilson8696 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Waymar Royce I believe is from the House Royce which in origin are the first men they battle Andals into the Vale, but join them at the end. But listen this if the Others spare the people worship the Old Gods why are they killing the Free Folks? (they are almost the purest of the First Men)

    ALABASTUR , VERY WELL put together videos the timing def makes sense .You are bang on and i thought exactly this, i wondered why would the Iron swords keep the vengeful spirits out, why were these spirits vengeful, to whomm, either they are the others or they are the first men who were vengeful towards the Andals for causing the Longnight which i believe. ... The FACT THAT iRON is in there throws everything out of the window concerning the timing as does the DRAGONSTEEL.....

      According to the video it seems that way. Although you don't need to worry about the five forts fitting in as it is always said that the history we receive gets less accurate the further East you go. As it's all from a Westerosy maeaters perspective trying to piece together accounts from the few adventures and trades that have gone that far.

    I was actually thinking the Andals invading caused first men and children of forest to create the pact to fend off the Andals. But failed and were further devastated by walker invasion. Not just the wars of Andals on the first men and children, or the first men's war with the children

    Make a HUGE video solidifying all of it in one video. Cleaning it all up nicely because there is somewhere i am lost. like if the age of hereos were some andals legend then where do they fit in all the timeline because the age of heroes comes before the supposed long night but if what you are saying is true they may have happened at the same time. I really am excited. I hope your doing ok. Please make more videos about your idea.

    So, the Andals broke the pact. The singers flee north, activate the white walkers again.
    One problem! Last time there were no Andals around. The white walkers were kept as a safeguard against First men betrayal.
    Maybe the white walker were told to kill only the men who held iron,so? Did that change the magic ? I doubt the singers had the numbers of greenseers needed to change the spells.
    The white walkers were unleashed, the singers hid underground, too damn cold for them on the surface, the white walkers went to town on humans. Andals ,first men .. who can tell? Kill them all. They are all guilty in the eyes of the gods.
    Men face extermination. A stark (maybe ) goes looking for singers up north, beyond the wall. He nearly dies, but finds them in the end, at which time the singers realise they fucked up! No first men,no more greensers. Their own are already in the trees, if they lose the first men, they lose the future. They turn against their own creations. Unprepared, unable to with stand their creators, the white walkers withdraw north, to the land of always winter, were the singers cannot follow.
    Next time we encounter them.. they begin with the singers. one on one ,no singer is a physical match for them.

    Intersting but the dates doesn't match. The Pact was between the First Men and Children not the Andals.

    • @ASoIaFTheorist
      @ASoIaFTheorist  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The Pact was between man and children. The Andals are men, and the books tell us that the Andals were perceived as breaking this Pact between man and children:
      ""So long as the kingdoms of the First Men held sway, the Pact endured, all through the Age of Heroes and the Long Night and the birth of the Seven Kingdoms, yet finally there came a time, many centuries later, when other peoples crossed the narrow sea. The Andals were the first..." - Bran VII, AGoT
      "...and so the Andals drove them out of all the deep woods the Pact had once given them." - Ancient History: The Arrival of the Andals, TWoIaF
      George also confirmed in this interview that the Long Night happened closer to 5,000 years, which overlaps with the earliest date for the Andal Invasion (6,000 years ago): ew.com/author-interviews/2018/11/19/george-rr-martin-interview/

      Item: the Andals they have admit that were killing the Children in south and thought they were demons. So why stop at fact that they cause the Long Night too by break the pact also?.

    • @ASoIaFTheorist
      @ASoIaFTheorist  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@sophiawilson8696 That's a very good question, one I've been planning to make a video on; it's going to be called "Erasing the Wrath of the Gods".
      In the books, the Andal Invasion is written as a sort of religious triumph because the Andals "everywhere proclaimed the triumph of the Seven over the old gods." - Bran IV, AGoT
      So, if the Andals caused the Long Night as a result of destroying the old gods (weirwoods), that would validate the religious belief of the old gods. It would mean the wrath of the old gods was real. It would make the Faith of the Seven the bad guys, forever. If the world remembered and knew that there was a real consequence over the fall of the old gods, the Faith of the Seven would not remain strong for long in Westeros.
      By erasing from history the fact that there was a real consequence to breaking the Pact, to destroying the weirwoods (old gods), the Faith of the Seven basically erased their enemies' power from history.

    This is a little bit off topic to your video but I believe that the white walkers this time around in this conflict are back because of the death of the dragons magic became unstable the white walkers were the only true magical beings with no dragons to stop them now that dragons are back balance is restored but not until after they destroy each other and the side note we will find out in the prequels that there were dragons in Westeros during the first long night the histories are intentionally vague and misleading for the purpose of more books and prequels for TV

    I believe there must have been multiple world ending conflicts between races of Planetos
    1. The Old Ones vs God Emperors of The Great Empire Of Dawn: I believe this was the first war where beings from outer world came to Planetos and fought for the survival and ownership of Planetos... The Old Ones lost and they were banished from the known world where they still sleep in a deep dreamless slumber...Moat Kailin, Yeen, Aashai were probably built by The Squishers but later they got included in the GEOTD. Five Forts were built in this Era if it is to be believed to fend off monsters beyond Grey Waste...
    2. Blood Betrayal: The Usurpation and the blood sacrifice of The Amethyst Empress by her younger brother The BloodStone Emperor which is said to be the reason for the collapse and end of GEOTD by The Demons Of The Lion Of Night. It is also believed that at that time Planetos had 2 moons Fire & Ice and the Blood Betrayal broke the Fire moon and thousands of pieces of the Fire Moon came down to Planetos as Fire Breathing Dragons...The Long Night started with blood betrayal as well as it ended with another Blood Sacrifice to bring the new Dawn. The Great Other was captured in the Weirwood in The Heart Of Winter as well as The Wall was Built to fend off future threats of the White Walkers.
    3. Westoros vs First Men:Garth Greenhand is the first to come to Westeros and breed with every species to create new species and lived in harmony however when Humans came, every species living in Westeros fought the invasion of men be it children of the forest or giants or green men but they all failed and in desperation they made a huge blood sacrifice to bring down meteors from the sky and destroy the path First Men took ...The Hammer that Broke Dorne but it had no effect since The First Men built ships and keep invading Westeros from every side. THE PACT was made among COTF, Giants, Green Men & First Men/Humans
    4. First Men (Bronze Warriors) vs Andals (Iron Folks): Andals defeated the First Men with their advancement in military might however they could not easily overpower the magical beings that still roam Westeros. 13th Lord Commander of The Night's Watch is supposed to live in this period. Andals cut down trees as well as slaughter every magical species as well as burn down Weirwoods that's sacred to the Old Gods. The Book as well as The Show depicted one scene verified by GRRM where COTF creats a new White Walker by blood sacrifice to defend themselves from the Andals.
    If the tale of Night's King & Corps Queen is true then there was a Decade Long Darkness that happened which can be a mini Long Night as per your theory.

    The true origin of the Others is that they ARE the Children. That is to say... the first White Walker was a vessel for the Children's greenseers who have died and entered into the weirwood net to possess and control. Then the other Children within the weirwood net who are not greenseers could occupy the corpses of the dead, with the first Walker acting as a skinchanging Wi-Fi hotspot. The Children only lost control of the White Walkers when a stronger greenseer, who is not a CotF, entered the weirwood net, went back in time, and took possession of the first White Walker and became the Great Other; the one who can create more Walkers. It was a human greenseer taking possession of the first White Walker that caused the Long Night, and wherever the Great Other goes... Winter comes.
