- In this video I go over how to split tone in Davinci Resolve. After you complete this technique you can add any adjustments that you would like for your look and feel. Feel free to push the split toning as well! I was In between pushing the look and being subtle.

Thank you for watching, Comment your thoughts and questions!
Sat vs sat, is using saturation to adjust saturation. So what you did was just reduce saturation in the least saturated range, which....does not much. I think what you meant to use is the lum vs sat, which uses luminance (targeting darker areas) to reduce saturation in the blacks. Cheers!
Yes! Good catch🙌
where I go you are there 😄
really liked this video. Sometimes I don't need a lecture on color science, I just want to see someone grade through footage. Well done.
Thank you! Appreciate it!
subscribed u bro...thanks a lot!!!!
You’re welcome! Thanks🤝🙌
This is the second episode that I've watched on your channel, and I'm enjoying your presentation style.
May I suggest two professional Colourists that I follow and that you may enjoy as well?
They are Darren Mostyn a Pro Colourist from the UK, where I live and Cullen Kelly from the USA. I'm just a hobbyist however they have taught me so much over the years.
Cheers
Thanks! Yes I will check them out!

I think you meant to adjust sat vs lum instead of sat vs sat
So split tones is good for images with more contrast, what if the image is flat but you still want to isolate the skin tones to pop out from the background? Especially when the background has similar color and tone as the skin? Like a beige wall for example
I would try to see if you could separate the skin and wall a little more in the primary wheels. Then I would try to use the qualifier to highlight the skin tones. If that doesn’t work I would use power windows and face refinement!
@@AparicioCocool thanks! May I know what do you mean when you say to separate the subject using primary wheels? Like play with contrast?
@@Loqu4Sorry I am late. But yeah I meant trying to try log wheels to slightly pull out the skin from the background. Since they are more precise.
plz make tutorial about cst apply how start after correction
Got a CST video coming this Thursday!
Cool, tryn on sony 8 bit footage👍
Sweet. That’ll work!
please sit a little back from the camera, when video started it felt like you were looking into my soul :P :D
Bahahah, noted for sure🤝
Can’t you do that with the wheels? 😂😂😂
Technically, but some people might like the curves better for implementing their look.
Sorry to say but Cullen Kellys split toning video is more advanced than this but even he does not call it advanced split toning
