Datsuns?!? Hooray!! Yeah, these cars were the ones to have when I was starting to really get into cars. The 510 was everywhere. I love that the 510 mod you featured is so close to a stock version. While my buddies had 510 Sedans (saloons) I was the only one who opted for a wagon (estate). So I am truly thrilled with that "long roof" mod (although mine was far from 500 bhp!). Oh, and it is so nice to hear you call them "two forty zeds", like we did here in Canada.
Hello Sir ! This is an interesting video as Datsun, as a Frenchmen, was never seen on french roads. It's a nice way to learn about automotive brand history ;) I've been thinking about some other brands, VOLVO is one of them. They made some iconic engines (T5) and cars (240) and I don't think I've ever seen Volvo a lot on Assetto corsa. Can you maybe dig in this brand and find us some rare or forgotten Volvo car mods ? Thank you
im having a weird graphical glitch with the datsun 1200. the driver of the ai cars is hanging outside the car and is blurry and glitched out anybody have ant suggestions?
@@Therearethings8148 I guess you thinking about the mustang, but that would only apply to North America. I had a 66 mustang (289) and it was fun but needed brakes, and handled like a small boat in stock trim. A few years later I was able to check out a friend's 240Z it had much better balance which made it more fun to drive. A few years later the right rear sub frame on the mustang failed. Turned out to be a common problem with the early unibodies. This all seems like a lifetime ago.
I'm guessing that you are using the colloquial version of "Vintage" when referring to these Dattos. Like people who say "it is just a theory" is fine unless they are referring to a scientific theory. When Creationist's speak about evolution they will always say that "it's just a theory" so they can dismiss it without getting triggered, whereas in the real world the "Theory of Evolution" is one of the most robust theories in science. The same is done when referencing "Vintage" cars, or "Vintage" racing, because it is an easy mistake to make especially by those who haven't restored, rebuild or modified something like these Dattos. So if one is talking to an insurance provider or getting a roadworthy certificate for the Datto 510, or what we call a Datsun 1600 in my neck of the woods. Referred to it as a "Vintage car" will result in quite a lot of confused people. Because "Vintage" when referring to motor vehicles has the distinction of being built between 1918 - 1930. As I think you may have mentioned that the first Datsun (the Type 11) was manufactured in 1932, nearly making it a legitimate Veteran car. Calling any vehicle that is over 15 years old Veteran is prolific in the Continental United States because... well they do as they please and the rest of the world sits back to enjoy the show, definitely laughing with and not at them, never at them... nope! Never mind the bollocks this is an awesome collection of Dattos. I had a Datsun 1000 many years ago, and it had my fifth engine build, a 1.3 litre with dual DCOE's, tuned length extractors and front suspension directly from a Ford Model A, the ever reliable transverse mounted leaf springs that are brilliant for oversteering whenever the need arises. Which for a car weighing under 800kg with around 120bhp and a locked differential meant that it was sideways all the time. Keep up the great work with all of these mods, they are greatly appreciated. 👍🙃
