Yeah. Lol that’s a bulky logo! (In case anyone reads these, it’s the ‘channel logo’ in the TH-cam channel settings, and *boy* is it taking up a lot of room)
Apple has AVB built into their OS from macOS Sierra onwards (macs with thunderbolt / displayport connector). So, you can turn your MAC into AVB endpoint and use the virtual onboard AVB to broadcast audio to AVB network. Now, combine that with Omnibus and you can have a massive setup on going. Those MACs which don't have ethernet port, but has the thunderbolt port, use thunderbolt to ethernet adapter and it will work with that.
OOF... I'm trying to figure out cabling for MADI, and there's a HUGE "Subscribe" banner over most of the "Multi-Mode" info.... I also REALLY wish there were chapter markers. This stuff is seemingly difficult to find information on from Sweetwater, Guitar Center, or other vendors... I've been calling around.
~12:19: although having bandwidth reservation with AVB what about broadcast traffic? Is it beneficial to precautiously plan for a dedicated VLAN for AVB audio to isolate audio devices from broadcast traffic of other devices? Broadcasts have to be processed by every network device on a particular LAN/VLAN and can add a certain CPU load for each of the devices connected depending on how many broadcasts you have depending on the number of systems, services and applications that you use. Can you recommend a still quite "cost efficient" AVB Switch with L3 capabilities and without blowers and maybe one with SFP+ uplink ports? That would be great, thanks.
26:17 - so to clarify, will this interface allow me to get 128 inputs and 128 outputs over Dante? If not, can I use two Digiface Dante units together to equal 128 ins/out? Looking for a interface to do 128 channel virtual soundcheck with. Thanks!
The Digiface Dante is built with the Audinate Brooklyn II chip, that provides 64 ch @ 48k or 32 ch @ 96k. The Digiface itself can hdle 128 channels, 64 via Dante and 64 via MADI Coax. You can add a 2nd DF Dante connected to the primary via a BNC cable to send the 64 MADI channels to the expansion unit, and that unit will route these to Dante when the unit is in "stand alone" mode (powered with no USB connection).
HI, If a do understand... I can use these on my laptop, to run live plugins with low latency using LiveProfessor2 on a yamaha CL5 over the dante network?
If you are referring to the RME Digiface Dante, then yes. Both I/O types can be used at the same time. However, the Dante and MADI systems need to use a shared clock - the RME interface does not sample rate convert.
The giant logo is blocking material on the slides

It’s there the whole time blocking the presentation 🤷♂️
Sadly 😅

And your intro music is Spyro Gyra, fantastic! I knew I chose the right audio interface entity.
Thank you very much this is an amazing content.

Great breakdown!

Hi. Can I remote control preamp with a digico stage in total mix with rmx ufx ? Thanks.
Sorry, no.
Can I use Dante's 64 channels at the same time as madi's 64 channels? Example a yamaha cl5 with Dante and a digico sd8 with Madi?

that subscribe button was the dimmest decision ever. your entire presentation is hidden on the bottom right as a result. what a disaster.
