„Most of the stuff I do is pretending. It’s like acting. I go on stage and pretend to be a macho man and all those things. I think The Great Pretender is a great title for what I do because I am The Great Pretender." - Freddie Mercury
Perfect ! That’s exactly what he said Verbatim ❤️
What a nice surprise! I put my headphones on, opened youtube and here I find you're reacting to one of my favorite Freddie videos. I've loved Freddie and Queen for over 50 years, what a nice way to end my 63rd birthday. 👑
A great and fitting cover from Freddie. Props to Rogerina for supporting his friend and bandmate.
I absolutely love this song and the video of course! Freddie's vocals are unmatched in my opinion
Thank you for doing my request! I love this version so much. Freddie sounds sublime but still sad to realise he was gone four years after. 😢❤
I love Queen, the great Freddy Mercury. And this song, this version...so beautiful, joyful
💖🥲. Thanks, Dereck.
I remember when this song hit the top ten in the UK a newspaper held a competition to win the pink silk suit that Freddie wore in the video (I didn't win lol). However this video is the extended version which shows the behind the scenes footage, the original video for the single release didn't include that footage.
Ah thank you Freddie always said he was a pretender on stage a beautiful showman but shy and reserved off stage unless he was with his friends love it x x
That ending just made me cry.
I just love Freddie in drag ! lol😁
this hits me so hard now. I remember when he died I was just starting University and it was such a shock to know he had been so unwell and just a consummate performer and carrying on and hiding how ill he was. Miss his genius so much. 😢
The biggest pretender in history! ♥
A cover of a 1950s song by US group The Platters , Freddie was probably brought up hearing their music.
Wow! I’ve never seen this video before. I’ve heard this version of the song, of course but not this extended video. They must have had so much fun making it. Love it!!! 👍❤️🇦🇺
Another clip that shows his personality is the Tutti Frutti medley at the first nite of Wembley 1986...it's pretty funny and of course the music is phenomenal!!
Freddie Mercury was simply great. I really like his songs and also the Bohemian Rhapsody DVD. Greetings from Germany
Yes!!! The GOAT!!!!!
I love how camp this video is!
Amazing. Queen. ❤ miss your reaction of more Bee Gees 😊❤❤❤
Irremplaçable!😀❤️👍
Enfin une belle chanson !
Super bon choix merci thanks gracias for your open mind 😂
I love Roger backing him up in drag here
Freddie, our great pretender in a red wig with a support of Roger Taylor (blondie) and Peter Straker (black hair, green dress) 😅😅😅 This video shows behind scenes and is hilarious. The song is a cover (The Platters) but guys (girls 😂) are superb. Freddie with his hundred cut boards of himself and the scene in a dressing room where he's complaining about not having a shape and Rogers comment HE HASN'T GOT THE SHAPE 😂😂 and Peter bursting in laughing is the best. You just have to love them all. ❤❤❤
This is Peter Straker, Roger Taylor and our Freddie . It’s a great video❤ Freddie was sick here, but carried on through the night into the morning filming this .
He pushed himself through as he always did. This was done four years before he passed
This song is about all the different pretending through his career and scenes from the previous things he’s done
.
No, that's not true, this clip was filmed in 1987. He wasn't affected much by illness at that time. You are probably confusing it with the clip for “These are the days of our life”, his latest footage
@@Wesley-wf6xdFreddie was well and truly sick in 1987! That's the year he was diagnosed with full blown AIDS. He'd had symptoms since 1982 and he stopped doing live tours in August 1986 (Knebworth was his last live concert) because he couldn't cope any longer. After that gig his words to Brian were "I can't f****g do this any more" - and they never played live again.
This is the 12" version. Reached no.4 in the UK charts if I remember correctly.
👏👏👏🌟👏👏👏abraço 🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
GREAT!-please react to Freddie’s ‘Living on my Own’
A great cover ❤❤❤
Love Queen & Freddie. Soon, You REALLY need to check out Chappell Roan's "The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess"! She's incredible and so interesting & talented. I think you'll be blown away by the lyrics, the beats, and most importantly, the vocals. She also makes some great music videos. Additionally, her backstory is an amazing tale of perseverance.
I would love to have you do a reaction to, Exercises in free love, which is a demo tape that Freddy did for Montserrat Caballe. Then, Ensueno which is the finished song with both of them singing.
👍👍🇨🇵🇨🇵
Can you react to Eddy de Pretto ? Fête de trop.
PLEASE REACT TO MICHAEL JACKSON WE VE HAD ENOUGH ❤❤❤
Freddie didn't confirm his sexuality..For him what you see is what you get
