I was put on tretinoin at 14 for severe acne. Been on it ever since (I’m 25 now) w no side effects whatsoever. Also don’t have any fine lines or pigmentation. 🤷🏼♀️
Yes but in that case it works good on those young people with oily/thicker skin because it was designed for them to begin with. Not for 19 year old with normal or dry thin skin.
I began using RetinA at 28 yrs old....I used it consistently, never stopping...I am 63 now and people are SHOCKED...they think I am in my forties or younger. Nothing waxy or old lady about it ALL - I laughed at her remarks - she is SO way off!!❤
I know the look they are talking about buts it usually girls around 18-20 and i think its more caused by "preventative botox" I didnt start any kind of skincare till after 30. My skin looked like yours at 30 but it quickly changed once i reached that milestone. It will be interesting to see your skin in 3-4 years, i think that will be the real test as to whether the tretinoin is working or not as most people still have good skin at 29 regardless of skincare routines.
There are a few TH-camrs who’ve used tretinoin for decades, and they all look unbelievable. Many of them are 40+ and have skin that could make 20 year olds jealous!
I'm going to be 42# this July! And I look like I'm in My Twenties! I have been using Prescription Tretinoin Cream at the strongest strength for YEAR'S!!! I will NEVER stop using it EVER! And because I've been using it for so long I can use it on my eyelids under my eyes around my mouth my neck everywhere with no irritation whatsoever! I even put it on damp skin just so it goes in deeper I still get no irritation whatsoever, and I don't use a Pea size amount, I use more like a Nickel for my face, and a Pea for My neck! I also use it on the Back of my hands as well! I also use Prescription Azelaic acid at 15%, and I also use Prescription Hydroquinone! I literally have achieved the glass skin that everyone is trying so hard to get! But I will tell you it is achievable but it is a lot of work! I also exfoliate my skin several times a week also!😊
I started Retin A when I was about 36 and 5 years later it was making my skin very crepey. I have very oily but dehydrated skin, and my skin really did not react well with Retin A (which I tried in different strengths and approaches). Now I hydrate big time and just leave the oil to do it's job and my skin looks great at 50.
I'm 36 and started using tretinoin almost 6 months ago and my skin has never looked better. I get compliments on how great my skin looks and has really helped the overall appearance.
But isn’t Tretinoin an acne medication? People start to get acne in their early teens so if Tretinoin is being prescribed to teenagers for their acne then what’s the problem? And some parents would prefer to buy their teenagers an over the counter retinol because they don’t want to pay prescription price. Their skin clears up of acne and they also get an “anti-aging effect” to their skin. Which is probably what the lady in the first video is referring to.
I feel like w insurance in the US tret is cheaper than otc retinols. My 45g 0.05% cream was $8 and my 15g 0.025% gel was $10. This is significantly cheaper than any otc retinol. I deal with acne and tret is my cheap option
Yes it’s used for a variety of skin issues including acne, fine lines, wrinkles, it helps build collagen and keeps the skin plump and healthy. Any age can use it typically after 12 years old, sometimes sooner but always under the care of a doctor. That woman doesn’t know what she’s talking about
Teenagers with acne don't have the same skin that teenagers or young adults with no acne. It's more than age it's about how the skin of young people with no acne/no oily skin behaves. They don't need a faster skin cells turnover that tretinoid provides and that can make their skin worse. That medication was first created mostly for young people with acne with oily skin which also tend to be thicker and who need a faster skin cells turnover to have a chance to become healthy ( among other things). Those 2 populations of young people don't have the same skin, AT ALL. Just like a teenager with very dry skin will benefit from slugging with Vaseline, a teenager or young adult with oily acne prone skin will see its skin worsen because of it. It's bout age and skin health/types.
@@heredianna2496 it may have been originally created for acne, but it was very quickly realized just how much healthier it makes the skin in every way. It does absolutely no harm whatsoever to people who have “normal” skin and are in their early twenties to start on tretinoin. We start losing collagen 1% every year after the age of 20. And tretinoin greatly helps with a plethora of skin issues- it builds collagen and prevents further loss, it reduces/eliminates hyperpigmentation and melasma, helps get rid of scarring- and not just acne scars.. I could go on and on but I don’t need to. Sorry, but I’d bet money that virtually every dermatologist would have to disagree with you about this. Unless you’re allergic to it, which is a very low percentage of the population, it will *only help* your skin and make it far healthier than it was previously. Every single person I’ve ever known who is or has been using it for a long time (including myself), their skin looks better and is so much healthier than people who don’t.
When she says “waxy skin” I think she’s actually trying to describe the look of thick, lineless skin? Maybe she’s equating it to the hyper-botoxed, hyper-filled look that some older women get after yrs of procedures? I’m not sure. I’d love to see real examples of skin that is aesthetically too thick or lineless.
I think you’re right. Overly plumped, smooth Mannequin skin is everywhere. Filled and toxed faces tend to make everyone who do it take in a similar appearance and that look is aging on younger people.
I started using it at 27. I'm 41 now and people think I'm 25. I have a pretty extensive skin care routine, so it's not the only thing I do, but it's the biggest contributor to why people assume I'm younger. I also wish I'd started it earlier (like at 19, when my breakouts started). I don't think 12 year olds need it, but late teens, yeah, if I could go back, I'd def do it sooner. It's amazing.
I was put on Vita-A because I had severe acne when I was 14/15. I currently use over the counter retinols. I'm not sure what the clip lady is talking about but I can say it does help with anti aging because I'm in my 30s and people think I'm in my 20s. The only side effect I had was dryness but thankfully there are techniques around it now.
So many people talk about people using it who are "too young" when it was originally developed as an acne treatment for teenager and only after watching their teenage patients age did they discover the anti aging benefits 😂
@atomic_tubetop Those teenagers have oily/ thicker and acne prone skin and tretinoid was created for their skin. Their skin needs higher skin cell turnover to get healthy that tretinoid provides but that's not the case for young people with healthy normal or dry skin. And since it was given by their Dr they also know that you can't be pregnant with it that you need sunscreen etc.... Now young people with 0 lines or sign of aging to come for the next few years use it even when their skin is normal or dry or thin or sensitive they don't know how dedicated they must be with sunscreen and sun exposure they use it on their dry skin along with other strong actives like vitC, or glycolic acid...... So yes that creates new skin problems. Which is why the last trends are the barrier repair creams lol. To repair the damages done. That's a vicious circle and a very unnecessary one on such young skin.
But she’s still wrong because it doesn’t make skin waxy and “older” looking- regardless of when a person starts using it. And teens use it all the time to combat acne and it makes the skin look and feel great.
@@PiXie232Teens with acne have oily skin , thicker skin and need a faster skin cells turnover. Teens or even people in their early 20's with no acne normal/dry/thinner skin and no sign of aging to come soon, don't need that. Their skin is absolutely not the same.
Your “regret” is exactly the problem. You’re not the target demographic of the podcast complaint. Young women and basically CHILDREN are starting to use it before they need to. I’m super happy that it has worked for you, your skin is lovely, but you don’t need to add to the FOMO that’s driving skin dysmorphia in our youth.
She said that she started it when she was in her early twenties so yeah. She's the demographic. I get that you're talking about teens, but early 20s is crazy young too. I still wouldn't be pushing it like she's suggesting tho. that's weird. Skin doesn't need to look perfect.. plus hormones during that age will make anyone's skin bad. It's natural.
Just because adults are letting their children misuse products and being irresponsible parents doesn’t mean you need to demonize ingredients that can literally change ppls skin tho.
@@Mykeynikey22331 I don’t agree with that last part about doesn’t need to be perfect blemishes are hormones or bad diet whichever way with better healthcare skin can be just as balanced
A derm needs to prescribe it for one to have it. Really don't think there is any issue with people using tret who shouldn't. Also the first clip before Abbey's response is honestly so tired and judgemental. People need to mind their own business and let people live. Even IF some kid is using tret, that is no one's responsibility to deal with except that kids parent or guardian. More shame and judgement is not needed.
I’ve been using Tretinoin since I was 15 (I’ll be 17 in a couple weeks) and honestly it has made such a difference in my skin, my breakouts aren’t nearly as bad as they used to be and all of the fine lines that I had on my forehead and neck are pretty much nonexistent now, plus my skin has a glow now and before starting tret my skin looked so dull. Starting Tretinoin is the best thing that’s ever happened to my skin.
Your Tret video and results convinced me to try Tretinoin last summer after several years of only using retinol and retinaldehyde because I was too scared of the Tret side effects. What a game changer. I'll be 45 next week, and I definitely regret not starting sooner.
I highly suggest teens to consider using retinol, adapalene or tret to control excesive oily skin. It really helps a lot with controlling the crazy oils 🌻
Me tooo! I wish my dr would have educated me more on it 😩. I was prescribed Tretinoin as a teenager for acne but it irritated my skin so bad I wouldn’t use it. I’m almost 38 and just learned a year ago about building up a tolerance/starting slow and using it over moisturizer…
I’ve been using tret since I was about 16 and I’m almost 40 now. I have no regrets and neither does my skin! Ingredients like Tretinoin have so many benefits and solid decades of really good evidence that it’s actually improving your skin. I don’t use any other actives routinely and just use a basic moisturizer and sunscreen.
My guess is that their skin might look waxy because they're not using it properly or they haven't found the right products to accompany tretinoin. I used tretinoin for acne when I was a teenager, and I'm sure many others can say the same. I see NO issue with teens using it as long as they use plenty of sunscreen! The thing that makes tretinoin so amazing is its versatility. I *definitely* regret not sticking with it as a teen.
Me too. Sadly, I didn't keep up bc it caused sensitivity to my skin. Later I fell for the non-Rx products that had very good marketing, but none of those worked. I lost thousands of dollars trying to cure my acne. After years, I tried again Rx oral and later topical retinoids, and I persisted this time. To this day, it's the only thing that worked. Moral of the story, don't waste money on non-proven products. Don't fall for the vicious marketing and waste your precious income on things that don't work while there are medicines with proved efficacy.
@LogarAcc doxycycline works miracles for my acne. Glad you found something that worked for you too. The retinA made my skin so peely and drywhen i was a kid!
you look radiant & kudos for not falling under any modifications; a complete role model for me, in terms of skincare & haircare, especially. in fact, it's your vigilant & explicit erudition in action made me want to ameliorate my hair back & grow it a bit to get back that wellness feeling and overall strength. 30 years old soon? bah age doesn't matter when you're radiant from the inside, Abbey ^^
Do we really need 25 year old girls obsessing about their skin?? Yes using sunscreen and protecting your skin is always important but woman should be enjoying their youth and their natural beauty. They have such innate beauty at that age (the 20s) and aren’t even enjoying it!
I’m close to 40 and have been using Tretinoin for the majority of my 30s and my skin looks great, and not just for my age. I have a pretty complex skincare routine and have since my 20s, but my mom has even commented that my skin looks AND feels like it did when I was a baby. Lots of women have complimented me but that’s the best one I received! I definitely didn’t start with tretinoin until I was into my 30s though and just enjoyed youthful skin as a teen/early 20s.
Honest question…Do you use a filter? Or any photo enhancements? It’s hard to say without knowing these things. Clean skin in natural light might produce a solid answer. Your hair length draws your face down naturally which instantly ages you.
This is very clearly low video quality, if not also filtered or blurred. I think it's funny she's asking us to assess her skin texture while having a smooth ghost appearance due to low quality footage
I knew you were going to say that! I’m thinking of started differin bc I’m 31 and post partum has taken a huge toll on my body and skin lol. I think it’s time…😂😂
Trentinoin is not the cause of this waxy appearance she’s talking about 🙄 and there’s nothing wrong with using it young. It is not just for wrinkles it is also for acne.
So jealous! I tried a very low percentage and had an awful experience. Ended up with burns (used so little and only once a week) and hyperpigmentation despite all the sunscreen I used too :( love all the smooth skin it gives y’all tho!
I started using tretinoin almost 1.5 years ago, and my skin has never looked better ! I rarely get acne now, my skin is much even in tone and it’s super glowing ! Hands down, starting tretinoin was the best decision I have ever made for my skin .
I think that people who use tretinoin when they are young are for skin problems like acne and it is very beneficial and people who start at 30 are to increase collagen and the whole issue of delaying age, but I don't think that Teenagers who start using tretinoin for acne look older, I don't think that person knows what they're talking about 🙄
Thank you for putting so much info out there on tretinoin! I’m just starting on a very low dose and I’m totally gonna follow your lead at 47! Hugs girl keep these videos coming
Your skin is perfect but let s be honest you look very tired without make up on. Your face bone structure is naturally narrow and you have hollowness around the eye, that's why. Looking young is not only about wrinkles but fullness too!
I love you Abbey, but not needing Botox or fillers before your 30 is normal. So I don’t see how that’s your gauge that tret has helped you. It’s sad how many woman are getting those toxins prematurely. To each her own and I’m glad Tret is working well for you.
i got a hydrafacial that literally destroyed my skin and tretinoin really been helping with unclogging the damage, im 22 so i feel like it’s okay to use but my skin was great up until 20 so im glad i didn’t jump on it, i feel like a lot of super young girls don’t realise how tretinoin means you have to wear sunscreen which then mean you have to double cleans and use all hydrating products around. It’s very time and money consuming.
i’ve also learnt to be patient, in a years time it will look even better, but again i think it’s very anxiety inducing for little girls to be on it cuz the cost, upkeep and patience can genuinly depress you.
Abby your skin is beautiful as you take great care of your skin and hair and it shows. I’m 64 and the products that are available now simply were not available when I was 24 or 30. I remember Clinique was one of the premier skin lines back then, there were very few skin lines available. Tretinoin wasn’t even considered but only for acne, not skin care. I started using a retinol in my 40’s sometime so over 20 years for sure and I have very few wrinkles. I’ve only been on prescription Tretinoin for about 5 years. It works!!
I don't think they're taking about adult women. Abby's skin doesn't appear waxy. They said young girls and I've seen the waxy look they're talking about in person. I know teens that had perfect skin and they're overusing it or unnecessarily using it and their skin just looks a different texture now. Still smooth, just more waxy instead of supple and bouncy. My little cousin is one of them.
I think using it in your 20s is fine! I didn’t start till my 40s. I’m 65 now and everyone thinks I’m in my early 40s. So, start using it at whatever age!
what if we just aged. what if we just didn't pay thousands of dollars over the years to hopefully look younger by clinging to the past? why can't we be excited about the future? it's always with at least a tinge of fear about our bodies getting wrinkly & hair going gray... but what if we just stopped playing these games & loved our bodies & faces in a radically gentle way?
@@safirog1226 does this make people actually happy or is it just repeatedly temporarily assuaging fears made up to hurt people? that's like telling some kid getting bullied to be less ugly, less poor, more this, more that, while they keep getting harassed anyways & saying the bully is right. toxic relationship with your body & those selling you self loathing.
@@MossTunic That’s a lot of assumption on your part. Yes, taking care care of yourself and actually seeing results brings a felling of not only joy but satisfaction. Is it going to make all your sorrows away and make you happy forever??? No, nothing in this world does, but if it works for you it will definitely add to the things you can do for yourself that makes you feel good, and there’s nothing wrong with that. For some people is exercise, for others is traveling, for others is eating right. Whatever it is that does it for for them, do it. Skin care is self care. I wish I would have figured out the benefits of it wayyy before. Not wanting to go around looking yiur worse is not holding on to the past is aging at your best, is self love, it’s dignity. If someone else wants to go the other route and just let themselves go, and that makes them feel go, go for it as well. Again, you have to do you and do what makes you happy, while allowing others the same curtesy.
honestly same. i started it around 24 then quit before 30 and wow do i wish i kept up with it. like only 5 years without and totally i didn't realize at the time but it really was helping my collagen and hormonal acne a lot.
Tretinoin is not principally an anti-aging treatment. It is an anti-acne treatment first and foremost, with the added benefit that it can also help with and be used for aging. Teens have been using tretinoin for DECADES.
Teens with acne who have oily/thicker skin that need faster skin cells turnover to get healthy skin. Their skin is very different from a young person with already healthy skin. Their skin is absolutely not the same.
I started using mine when I was Around 19. I had horrible acne and I was put on accutane. For scarring my dermatologist recommended tretinoin. It was a crazy combo of side affects, from dry skin to muscle aches. But within 3 months (not even finishing my 5 month dosage of accutane) . My skin completely cleared and I never had issues with it again.
I have used retin A for over 30 years. I get compliments all the time on my 63 year old skin . And I spent hours in the sun every day and no sunscreen. I use retinol/retinal under my eyes, and my eyes look better now than they did at 30.
I did use it consistently in my thirties because it controlled my acne along with a topical antibiotic. For some reason I stopped and my skin really began to age. I’m using it again and will never stop!
I’m 37. Never had anything done to my face. I constantly get told I look 25. I think the reason for that is I’ve always been against using so much make up or so many different products. To each their own tho
That's too funny! I knew you were gonna say that that was your one regret! I've been taking it for 3.5 months now and it's really helping clear up my acne!
I’m 31 (which obv isn’t old) and got carded yesterday haha. Been using tret (now taz) since I was 21! I just wish I’d worn sunscreen more proactively that whole time.
i use a slightly different retinol but it was to help with scarring after i started spironotactone for hormonal acne. i love it. it genuinely does help and my skin is so smooth. i’m 20 but i really don’t think it’s doing me harm
My regrets is that I didn't start early.. I'm 52 year old, and I been on it 4 years ago.. so that's my regrets I didn't start early.. I love using it.. make my skin glow.. I got compliments all the time.
I started using it at 24 too and my skin looks amazing at 30, I look better than a lot of 24 year olds. Sunscreen and good products and a clean diet is really all you need the rest is genetics
I will say, I was on tret for almost a year, I started at 26 and had to stop about 4 months ago because it completely destroyed my skin barrier and caused me to get perioral dermatitis around my mouth. I want to go back to using it again because my skin looked amazing up until the point that i got PD, very scared that i will get PD again from it. Any thoughts on this?
You have to ease into it. It’ll destroy it if you use too much, too often, etc. start with once a week and work up. I use it everyday. Always after moistuizing. Do NOT use other actives with it and make sure none of your skincare has it.
I have been using Tretinoin for 25 years. I have almost zero fine lines and I’m constantly told my skin is “flawless”. I don’t listen to people spouting off on social media, I listen to my dermatologist.
I was first prescribed Tretinoin at 15, hated it and only used it for a month. The peeling and dryness was uncomfortable. Now I’m almost 20 and I was prescribed it again a month ago. I noticed a significant improvement in my skin, my acne scars have significantly faded. The dryness wasn’t as severe as it was when I first used it years ago. A good moisturizer and a light oil helped me. I’ve reduced my use of it down to every other day or 3-4 times a week. My mom used it in her younger years too and her skin looks amazing at 60.
I just feel sad because i think skin texture and varied pigmentation is beautiful. Its good to take care of yourself and protect from skin cancer. But i hate the idea of wanting to be this smooth waxy glossy lump, no wrinkles branching out, not little scars creating interesting shapes etc :(
I dont know about this whole waxy skin thing but I donknoe my skin changed feom acne prone at age 24 to more balanced by 30.....how do we know that tretinoin is the only thing that helped your skin?
My concern is toxic build up for women who want children at some point. People can say this isn't a concern, but if you type this into pubmed or other medical/science journals, you're going to be met with an avalanche of research papers (just make sure you use the right keywords). Not all women want children, that's fine, but I don't feel like the transparency is there with birth control and tretinoin use like it aught to be for actual informed decision making
She’s talking about Botox and filler. Botox and filler on very young people can make them look older. Retinal cell turn over is doing what our skin when we were young for us when we’re older so logically and scientifically it’s not possible the skin would look older, neverMind the traits that define mature skin like texture are lessened. I use adapalene and have found people act like I’m “cheating” and make comments that are a bit negative like well yeah your skin is only like that because of a prescription. You definitely have the skin of someone much younger than 30, as most anyone with long term retinal use
it can really damage your skin. ANY Trauma to the skin on tretinoin is dramatically worse. EMT here, please be careful using something like this. I've seen trauma patients on this medication and all of them end up needing some sort of skin grafing for minor injuries.
The lady doesn’t know what she’s talking about, even 18 year olds or younger can use tretinoin. This is why I listen to professionals not that lady haha. Skin looks great.
You started at 24, which is young, so to say your “huge” regret was not starting sooner actually comes across the wrong way (to me) You do seem to have good skin but I don’t find it any different than many women your age. I think the true test will be around 40. And even then, since you are also great with skincare and sunscreen from a young age, you will also have prevented a lot of damage: which is great of course. As for what that other person says, how young women has she seen, without makeup (that is key here) to be able to access that fairly.
She suffers from bad acne, so her “regret” of not starting earlier is valid, as she could have been enjoying clear beautiful skin from an even younger age. Not everything is about wrinkles.
@@violas.86 A lot people wouldn’t know a lot of things about a lot of videos in TH-cam from watching just one video. She has videos where she’s shown how bad her skin used to be. Not everyone in their 20’s has flawless skin, specially with all the pollution and bad diet.
@@safirog1226 Of course there are many people in there 20’s that have bad skin. Where did I say there wasnt? 🤷🏻♀️ I even said fair enough. So why keep reiterating it? I am not the only one, many here jumped to the anti aging part. ✌️
I feel you! Mine did the first time I tried it several years ago so I quit. But I have been able to finally make it work for me over the past 6 months using Abbey's tips: 1. Starting with a low concentration for the first few months until your skin gets used to it and gradually working up to higher concentrations. 2. Start by only applying it 3x a week until your skin isn't super flaky and irritated, then you graduate to every other day and eventually every day. 3. Moisturize your face before and after you apply tretinoin until eventually you get to the point where your skin can handle daily application without being flaky or irritated, then you can just moisturize after you apply the tretinoin. 4. Only apply roughly a pea sized amount. I think this was my biggest mistake the first go-around, I used waaaaaaay too much thinking "more is better" but it just made it so my skin could never get used to it. If you search Abbey's name and then "tretinoin" you can find a few videos she's done on it that have these tips better explained, plus more! Best of luck!
Not gonna say my age because I swear whenever someone says their age and what I'm about to say, people always feel the need to say they look 40 or something to "humble" them. But anyways, I often get told I look younger than my age. As someone that went to see a dermatologist from a young age and was prescribed tret for acne/scars, maybe that has something to do with it? 🤷🏻♀️ Idk, maybe it's just genes. My sister is gonna be 40 and looks like she's in her late 20s/30s. My dad, although now he looks like an old man because he is, still has people thinking he's a couple of years younger than his actual age. My mom, although people don't say she looks younger, gets told she looks good for her age. So she looks her age but looks good. So I think a large part is genetics. Unless you're super rich and get treatments done, there's only so much skin care can do.
I think pepole forget that tretinoin is also an acne treatment and aging isn't the only reason for using retinoids
they absolutely ignore it
Yes!!! I've used retinoids since I was 9 (almost 31) for severe acne. They've worked wonders for my skin!

It’s also prescribed for acne and cystic acne, so not just for aging .
Can you please share your skin care routine
@@heredianna2496You can only get Tretinoin from a doctor who tells their patients how to use it correctly.
Your skin is beautiful, but you look much older than 30!
I think she was referring to young teens starting tretinoin. Not someone in their early 20s!
The initial use of tretinoin was acne and it's still widely used for that as well. She is just plain wrong
u know teens were the ones that first started using tretinoin right
Your “regret” is exactly the problem.
More shame and judgement is not needed.
yeah our dermatologist started my sister on tretinoin at what.. eleven? and her skin just can’t tolerate it.
But Tretinoin is an acne medication first !
Yes girl! I actually used to tretinoin when I was 13 for acne wish I would have stayed on it!
I used to get it prescribed in my teens for acne
The retinA made my skin so peely and drywhen i was a kid!
you look radiant & kudos for not falling under any modifications; a complete role model for me, in terms of skincare & haircare, especially. in fact, it's your vigilant
& explicit erudition in action made me want to ameliorate my hair back & grow it a bit to get back that wellness feeling and overall strength.
I think it’s time…😂😂
Just in case you didn’t know, you’re not supposed to use it if you’re breastfeeding! But if you’re formula feeding, go for it!
@MeoCulpa the actual evidence to not use it topically when BF is so weak, though. Just saying.
I couldn't agree more.
Hey I agree with you on something, look at you finally sharing facts, I’m impressed
Six months in and I’ve got that glowww. Also forced my hand to use sunscreen religiously and I am sure that’s making a difference, too!
Trentinoin is not the cause of this waxy appearance she’s talking about 🙄 and there’s nothing wrong with using it young. It is not just for wrinkles it is also for acne.
Been using it 32 years. I will die gripping it in my hand…. My HRT in the other.
No offense to anyone but do people forget tret is prescribed for acne 😭
Your skin is flawless.
Hugs girl keep these videos coming
but when has TSC ever had an opinion that made sense or mattered??
What if u have mildish acne and texture ?
My 18 yr old just started using it and it is helping a lot. The only complaint she has is her lips get REALLY dry
What if you do you and let others do what makes them happy? That works great too 🤷🏽♀️.
Very curious about that Pantene spray! You ended up loving the Dove Bond Strength line (I knew you would!), and I would love to know your thoughts!
Amen! I love it!
honestly same. i started it around 24 then quit before 30 and wow do i wish i kept up with it. like only 5 years without and totally i didn't realize at the time but it really was helping my collagen and hormonal acne a lot.
Don't start before 20 unless using it for acne. I have seen people using it too much looking very waxy translucent, despite age. It's overuse.
I started at 30 and I don't look this good, wish I could started earlier and worn sunscreen regularly😢
Same as you. Been on it for acne for 4 years and I wish I started sooner
I think the individual speaking in the beginning is not well informed on the science
Topical tretinoin is the only acne treatment that worked for me once and for all. Now over long term use, my acne scars are fading away
You look great!
I had heard that tretinoin was eventually damaging to the skin as well. But every person is different and so is everyone’s skin.
Your skin is gorgeous and I don't think that anyone that uses it long term look "old and waxy". I wish I had started using it when I was younger.
i use a slightly different retinol but it was to help with scarring after i started spironotactone for hormonal acne. i love it. it genuinely does help and my skin is so smooth. i’m 20 but i really don’t think it’s doing me harm
My regrets is that I didn't start early.. I'm 52 year old, and I been on it 4 years ago.. so that's my regrets I didn't start early.. I love using it.. make my skin glow.. I got compliments all the time.
You have beautiful skin my only regret is not starting earlier too
👍🏻 Retinoids are a great tool.
In a previously video you shared about having lip filler. I'm a huge fan of your account, just looking for transparency even in the short form!
If you have problems around the mouth while using it, first apply something like aquaphor first to those areas
Your skin looks like A++++++ goals
I’m sorry did you say… 30? YOU LOOK 18 😭😭😭😭❤️❤️
I have been using Tretinoin for 25 years. I have almost zero fine lines and I’m constantly told my skin is “flawless”. I don’t listen to people spouting off on social media, I listen to my dermatologist.
Really want to get this sweet 16 dream skin like your 's❤❤
I'm 50 and have no regrets! I look younger than I am because or tretinoin.
Which one specifically do you use?
They're just making shit up now huh
lol not sure where that lady gets her information from all data suggests otherwise, I don’t think she thought this through 😂
I was first prescribed Tretinoin at 15, hated it and only used it for a month.
Umm no, tretinoin showed the high granulation and angiogenesis rate with good collagen synthesis, it improves and speeds up wound healing..
Retinol its the best❤
The lady doesn’t know what she’s talking about, even 18 year olds or younger can use tretinoin. This is why I listen to professionals not that lady haha. Skin looks great.
Yes you dont look older! Love your skin
I’m 26, been considering Botox but I’d rather try this first.
@@safirog1226 fair enough. But not everyone seeing this would know that and neither was the other shown footage mentioning acne/bad skin.

My skin peeled so bad when using it. Any recommendations?
My skin was good at 30 without lots of skin care.
Thanks for furthering the notion 30 is old and aging is bad ❤️ The world needs more of that
Not gonna say my age because I swear whenever someone says their age and what I'm about to say, people always feel the need to say they look 40 or something to "humble" them.
