I have also found that my shedding is decreased when I eat at least 120 grams of protein a day as well as a scoop of collagen. It took me a while to find this out, but now that I track my macros, it has been a game changer for my hair.

My hair started falling out in clumps a few weeks ago. I had excessive amounts of hair in my brush after I showered and brushed my hair.
Did some research and realized it was due to Covid that I had back in January! This is a very common side effect of Covid, usually occurring 2-3 months after having Covid. Hopefully, it will start growing back, but, from what I read it will eventually grow back, but usually takes at least 6 months!!

I don't brush my hair (I style it wavy by scrunching) so I comb my hair when I shower. When I wash my hair I lose a ton of hair. It's always very alarming and I sometimes think how I am not bald with the amount that comes out in the shower. I think it is because all of my hair comes out at once (in the shower) rather than during the day or from daily brushing. Still, I have fine hair so it always has me like 🥴😅

Over the last several years I have noticed I shed A LOT through out the summer months. I am in my 50’s and this probably started in my mid to late 40’s. I don’t know if moving to Florida and heat has anything to do with it, or just age. It’s not breakage, and it always grow back, but does end up a lot more sparse towards the end of the summer/fall…then fuller by the beginning of the next summer. My hair is pretty fine in texture, and was never thin…although definitely thinner during the summer months these days.

As a professional horseman (show horses) it’s important that riders and horses are well turned out. There’s nothing more gorgeous than a horse’s luxurious tail. A product call Cowboy Magic sealed the deal for my horses and myself. Just a smidge after washing and no tangles. It’s also light so it won’t weigh down your hair or make it feel greasy. It’s fairly inexpensive and most definitely worth a try.

I have very fine, thin hair and I’ve been paranoid about hair loss since my late teens. If you are experiencing age/hormone related thinning that is not dramatic, I can say it’s nearly impossible to tell the difference between “normal” shedding and hair loss. I live with this anxiety every day. Is it really falling out this time? Or is it just the season, etc? I’m slowly coming the realization that I will never truly be sure. Doctors pass it off as a cosmetic concern so they have been no help. I condition appropriately, use minoxidil, a red light device and take specific vitamins. I feel like I’m doing all that I can but I haven’t found that “one thing” that dramatically reduces shedding so I don’t still obsess over it on a daily basis.

Hi Abby! Very helpful!! I have very long fine hair as well 💗 I seem to have a problem with my scalp getting congested as I work out a lot so I have to shampoo at least twice a week or it actually prohibits growth ! I would love some tips on getting the scalp healthier 💗🕊🐣💋

My hair is short now and my hair doesn’t shed as much when it’s dry. But when I shampoo it and condition it, it comes out…no matter what shampoo and conditioner I use. But my hair still looks thick and healthy after my hair dries…so confused Lol

Can you please try the Vegamour brand for hair loss? I’ve also been curious about their eyebrow and eye serum since it has no prostaglandins in it like other serums have!

My question is for my son's hair..he insists on it being longer. Shoulder length. His hair is fine but a lot of it and it is curly and straight. Bottom layer curly top layer straight. Anyway it tangles like crazy and he just yanks through it. Is there something light I can put in it to help detangle when it is dry that won't leave it greasy and dirty looking? The stuff I use on my hair wet like.the Pureology product is just to much for his fine hair. I just don't know how to get the tangles out each morning!

What is the color of the lipstick you are wearing? I'd thought it would be in the description but I don't think it is. it's looks so pretty on you and I'd like to try it.

maybe i am one of those lucky people, but even if i don`t brush my hair, there are no tangles ... i have not brushed my hair almost at all (unless i wanted to straighten my hair, maybe 1-2 per year) for 10 years at least ... now i do brush it a few times per week just because i wanted a brush 😝

I have a quick question; I am totally on board with brushing super gently and using good brushes (I have a Mason pearson brush at home I love) but my hair is long, medium density, and fine. It gets tangled even though I wear my hair down 99% of the time so I do like to brush at least 2X per day, sometimes 3X. Is that ok? I just can't imagine only brushing once.

do you have recommendations for keeping your hair out of your drain? I find that drain covers/ plugs don't work very well and just get really gross really fast

I use a Tub Shroom in my bathroom sink & tub. They make all types for different types of drains. Does an amazing job of keeping hair out of the pipes.

I have hip length hair, wear it loose, and have dealt with this for over 40 years.
I use a mesh strainer that sits in the tub drain. I have an old tub that doesn't have a built-in plug, so this works well. When I had a shower, I unscrewed the cover plate and put my strainer in, then put the cover plate back - without the screws so I could clean the strainer easily. I need to clean it after every shampoo.
I also have one of those plastic "zipper" drain cleaning tools. Every month or so I'll put it down the drain to pull out any hair that makes it past the strainer. It's a gross job, but no worse than cleaning my vacuum cleaner. I consider it the price of having long hair.
