Showing support for one of my bffs, Laurie Leigh! Love ya, girl! I just wanted to let you know that Golden Paints are now sold at Michaeal's, AC Moore, and Joann Fabrics now. I often get them at Jerry's Artarama online, or Dick Blick. The Liquitex Paints you showed are called, "Soft Body" Acrylic.
1. I saw your baby sock suggestion in another video and ran to the Dollar Tree! Works great! It's funny how happy the little things can make you. 2. I was recently able to pick up Liquitex Acrylic Gouache. They were free samples, so I received a red and a blue, but I'm itching to try black (I haven't experimented with red or blue on a doll yet). They are permanent like acrylic, but they are rather fluid, very opaque, and matte.
Your hair!!! 😍 I just ordered some airbrush thinner to try your way with more paint (nervous!!! Face ups still make me really nervous. I've only done maybe 10 faceups so far in the 7 months I've been repainting) I was in daiso yesterday and saw the little knitted like, chair leg protectors. They would fit a Barbie I think. I live in Japan and the best thing about repainting is mr superclear is ¥600 (about $6) 😮😮😮 I do import a lot from America though so I guess it evens out. I recently got pan pastels and I love them soooo much!!!
Great price for the MSC! And PanPastels are the best. I will have to share my first ever face ups. 🙈🙈🙈 Thank you about my hair. 😘🤗 Don't be nervous. Paint comes off! Xoxo Laurie
@@LaurieLeighArt omg I would LOVE to see the development of your work!! I can see a difference between dolls for sure. Urgh I'm just... I dunno face ups are hard and I HATE my own work until I'm about 80% done 😂😭 honestly MSC is one of the biggest reasons I haven't left Japan yet 😅
I would love a video on tips and tricks for capturing a persons likeness, I can paint a realistic face but I can't seam to ever make it look like who it's supposed to be, thanks!!
Hi! Yes, the hair does get everywhere. What I do it take small sections of hair at a time, so only working with a little amount makes it easier to control. And I keep a spray bottle of water next to me. Keeping the sections of hair wet helps also to control the mess.
Hi Naorin, well it is usually an acrylic base but there is something in it the stops the fabric from getting stiff. Not sure if it would adhere well to vinyl or it's longevity. With craft paint being so readily available and inexpensive, I would just buy those. Xoxo Laurie
I recently found a fabulous tin of gouache paints which I’m going to try on my dolls. I’m wondering if you have ever tried using this on dolls and if so with what results x
I have tried gouache alone on dolls and it won't stay, even with spray. So I do not recommend it. Their is a new mix of acrylic and gouache I have never tried before that might be really nice.
Thank you. This was very informative. I think you are a talented artist and thanks for sharing this with us.
Thank you so much!! I am glad it was helpful. 😍
Thank you for sharing this! 🤗 It was very helpful. Also subscribed!
Oh thank you!!! I really appreciate it and I am happy it is helpful.
This is by far the most helpful video on the supplies I will need to repaint my dolls. This video has really inspired me to start repainting.
That is awesome!! Thank you. I am excited to hear that!
Your hair is gorgeous!! I’m so excited to see you making videos again 💕
Thank you kiddo. I love you.

Sounds great!
I know is really old but it helps a lot. Question, how do you keep the hair from going all over when you are rerouting?

Laurie Leigh Art thank you, I will try.
Should I do a reroot video?
@@LaurieLeighArt yes! Yes! YES! please
