Thank you for explaining about the harmful side effects of Mr. Super clear. I'm about to buy all my materials for restoring vintage Barbie dolls. I have asthma, so this was very good to know. Then you for going in depth about all the other materials. I now know what to buy ❤
Thank you for all of this and all of you!!! I have been watching for awhile and now I think I have enough knowledge to try this for myself. Thank you for stepping thru your insecurities to share your passion. Thank you for being you🥰
Thanks for making such an informative video! I also find Derwent to be the most pigmented, which makes them my favorite pencils to use, but Faber-Castell definitely has it's purpose too as you said! You've inspired me to grab some metallic pencils! Your eye makeup is super pretty by the way
of course!! i really wanna eventually pick up prismacolors watercolor pencils. i think theyre the only one ive seen people use that i havent tried :D ooooo i hope ya like the metallic watercolor pencils!! thank yeeee
thank you for this video! it's always great when experienced doll customizers show off their tried and true supplies im a grad student so i don't have a lot of liberty to test out supplies
no problem! i loveeee hearing about other peoples favs! haha i probably shouldnt test out as many new supplies as i do but i get so excited to find new stuff to use.
Right! I have drawers full of art supplies I've collected over the years but none that I can really use on dolls lol I have to start almost from the bottom orz
ahhhh do you use brush shaper?? its seriously such a god send for tiny brushes. i used to go through tiny brushes so fast but ive had all of these brushes for like...i think a year? and theyre still going strong.
Oooohhhh, I love the full face mask, I want one now! I’m a caran d ache gal myself, although I do have about every other make on the planet as well lol x
uhhhh im incredibly new to bjds and faceups on them and i havent tried wiping a face with acetone yet but ive heard its fine to use from videos.id probably just clean the face afterwards. i think people prefer to use this stuff though: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005M4W1VK/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
ok, I did some research on the toxicity of Mr. Super Clear, because I'm a nerd EDIT: NOTE, THIS IS FOR TITANIUM DIOXIDE because it's very unclear why they recommend such high protection levels, so I did some digging Basically what the CDC jargon is saying is: At concentrations above the NIOSH REL (so the CDC Recommended Exposure Limits), or where there's no REL at any detectable concentration (so where there's no amount that's safe to be exposed to), (then it suggests respiration options) This compound falls into the second for NIOSH, because it can cause cancer However, for OSHA, there's a TWA, Time Weighted Average (so how much over a 10 hour day and 40 hour work week) that's set at 15mg/m^3 . Basically, 15 milligrams for every square of air that's a meter high, wide, and long. It also recommends changing clothing once daily, so not reusing the same clothes to work in over and over Then there's a value called IDLH, or Immediately Dangerous to Life and Health. That's set at 5,000 mg/m^3 . This is where you NEED the highest protection recommended, or you WILL have serious consequences (here's the respiration options, they use the NIOSH recommendations because they're more protective than OSHA) the APF or Assigned Protection Factor needs to be 10,000, so the highest you can possibly get, and it describes what that is (the very expensive system which supplies oxygen to you and makes sure nothing gets in) When using it to escape in an emergency, you can use something with APF of 50, which is a full face mask with a 100 level filter (N100, R100, or P100) *BASICALLY because it's a carcinogen the NIOSH recommends the highest protection possible, but if you use in a well ventilated area and have a filter to protect you, you should be fine.*
