Hey friend .. I've been into cars for many many years! I have rebuilt damn near every part that you can rebuild on a car! You have explained this in so much detail and yet kept it simple enough for a newbie! There isn't anything I would add to this! Great Great job!!
Yes, use copper plugs and change them every time you change the oil, 2500-4000 miles. Soak/clean the intake and valves on a direct injection engine every oil change. Also clean and lubricate as many sensor o-rings, cap seals, and suspension bushings as possible. Every 3rd oil change, flush and fill coolant, or switch to a waterless coolant, bleed brakes/clutch, and power steering until it's all new fluid. Check spare tire pressure. Clean hood, trunk, door, sunroof weatherstripping, and condition/lube. Record everything on a notepad and keep it in the glove box or trunk. Take the time and effort, and the car will run better and last longer.
I did an stage 1 on my audi with stock coils and spark plugs, when i did the stage 2 in the span of an month 3 out of 4 coils failed(i changed spark plugs before the tune with OEM parts), the last coil is still there, i changed them with the bosch ones and it's good so far. So i believe that the coils should be changed with the better r8 ones if you go stage 3 and have the K04 turbo. probably the stock ones would work if they are new but would not be for many years until they will fail. driving 4 answers has an video where he explains why with higher turbo pressure you need better coils. The video is called "Distributor VS Wasted Spark VS Coil on Plug VS MONSTER Coil near Plug" at the the 13:00 time mark.

This is great, I did this a couple months ago, I got apr coil packs and new spark plugs . Injectors would be great too . This definitely gained me back hp or maybe netted me a little more... mk6 Jetta 1.4

What do you think about the Denso Iridium TT Spark Plugs? Currently running those plugs in my RS5 B8.5. Can I leave them in and only install r8 coil packs?
O•Nai•Wu GT well.. it isn’t! It’s a a well known mod for highly tuned VAG engines. the red ones are the standard TFSI coils, but they are not plug & play swappable on every model.
Great video man, looked into that and asked my tuner which said was no point doing, but at the same time seen videos showing HP gain on the dyno so think might still give it a go. Doesn't seems to hurt either way.
I have a issue car running fine but hissing or sound like air pressure being leased in front of Radiator no coolant leaks have not been using my A/C been read about the Air-con or something like that just need help or inupt .
yeh I would check the ac compressor, turn it off and on to see if you hear a difference in the sound, also get a long pipe or screw driver place on different areas and put your ear to it to see if you can find the source

Bruh... had a critical engine failure 2 weeks ago in my APR stage 2 A4 and engine is being replaced along w/ turbo. Gunna have to piece my engine apart to see what happened. Two depressurized cylinders. Right after I changed to platinum NGK plugs and R8 coils. Tip was completely gone from the plug in cylinder 2... no idea wtf happened.
You got to watch out for knock off, and once that tip gets in that cylinder head it’s end game, and will eventually start random misfires and a blinking engine light, I would say always make sure your parts vendor is reputable, I bought 2 sets of ngk and coils from eBay, and just threw them away and returned one because it said made in China, and it should have been Germany, no disrupt China, just knew it was a copy, so the same thing happen to my s5 , it had 0 compression on cylinder one, and the ring was destroyed from the broken, spark plug. The spark plug got to hot, which is why when tuned stage 2 you should go with a colder plug if you are not running meth, or high octane for predestination, sorry for your loss bro, I’m here to help how I can, I got an extra timing chain kit , you can dm , and I can hook you up💪💪💪 god bless bro

Well I’m not getting a code my idle is just a little rough like when I’m at a stop my car vibrates a little, my rpms stay at .8 but I can feel my engine shaking a little if that makes sense. Or when I’m driving and come to a stop at a light or anything my car will vibrate a little when the idle reaches .8 ( complete stop/ under 5mph) so that’s why I’m guessing carbon build up?

Hey Bruce! I really appreciate your videos! I own a 2010 Audi a4 B8 75000. Just got some Lucas heavy duty oil stabilizer, New spark plugs and Genuine R8 Coils. The description and picture Had the genuine code print in the right spot for the coils, got the product with no code. Working on sending them back. Any advice on finding the real ones? I ordered from Ebay as you recommended. I stalled a heavy boost stage 1 tune and had some issues with a EPC light as well and got the Code Po234 for too much boost. Any advice, recommendations etc? Thanks!

@@brucecustommotors Sounds good! I'll looking into cleaning the waste gate and maybe order another sensor. When I contacted the seller i received a message saying they are a VW/Audi dealer and aren't allowed to sell aftermarket parts so they're genuine OEM coils from factory. Thoughts on that? Yeah my tuner and I tried scrapping the tune. The EPC light game back after a couple 6-7000 RPM pulls. He kept reseting it but it kept coming back even after we scrapped the tune. @@brucecustommotors When tuning he said my vehicle was running perfectly with zero misfires. The light came on a week ago after returning to stock ive been driving carefully to keep the light off. It was a custom tune. Throttle response, turbo spool, Max RPM when in P or N, and he maxed my speed at 210. Primarily he put the boost at 14 PSI.
Yeh custom tunes , normally have issues, there pride want let them take accountability, but he seems like a good runner, keep me in the loop, I think maybe the turbo wasn’t ready for the boost

Diesels use glow plugs. They ignite through compression alone, they don't need an ignition system to do that. When the piston reaches the top of the cylinder bore the air is super compressed and becomes very hot. The fuel is then injected which ignites when it hits the hot air and glow plug which sends the piston back down the bore with the con rod.

bosch double platinum plugs is the best. I've tried iridiums, NGK, denso, all of them and found bosch double platinum (non iridiums) best.
Yes the double platinums for bosch are rated 6 comparable to ngk double platinum 7 same heat range

No there all old been sitting up, but mine are always brown ,from the fuel octane booster, they discolor you’re spark plugs but no harm

@@erikestrada2408 well you know me I try everything, my bigger inter cooler have me about 30 extra on the dyno, and the 2 mods that didn’t get me any hp was a turbo muffler delete, and silicone piping

100% yes , also worn spark plugs, and bad coils, or sticky throttle , it depends on the code you're getting
Well I’m not getting a code my idle is just a little rough like when I’m at a stop my car vibrates a little, my rpms stay at .8 but I can feel my engine shaking a little if that makes sense. Or when I’m driving and come to a stop at a light or anything my car will vibrate a little when the idle reaches .8 ( complete stop/ under 5mph) so that’s why I’m guessing carbon build up?

no you should be fine I changed it on my b9, and b8 with out a map, and it just preformed better
Why you dont use ngkbkr7eix plugs?
I rotate its safer for heat but I loose a little torque, if Im ripping it I put them in but normally I get the best bang from the PFR7S8EG

Hey Bruce! I really appreciate your videos! I own a 2010 Audi a4 B8 75000. Just got some Lucas heavy duty oil stabilizer, New spark plugs and Genuine R8 Coils. The description and picture Had the genuine code print in the right spot for the coils, got the product with no code. Working on sending them back. Any advice on finding the real ones? I ordered from Ebay as you recommended. I stalled a heavy boost stage 1 tune and had some issues with a EPC light as well and got the Code Po234 for too much boost. Any advice, recommendations etc? Thanks!
that code generally comes from a sticky waste gate or bad sensor, the real coils are below and sourced from the dealer or you can try eurotunning,
the you try reseting the code?
are you having misfires?
when did the code come?
what tune are you using and what is the boost set at
hopefully you didn't have a worn turbo waste gate and the extra power pushed it to its max level

@@brucecustommotors Sounds good! I'll looking into cleaning the waste gate and maybe order another sensor. When I contacted the seller i received a message saying they are a VW/Audi dealer and aren't allowed to sell aftermarket parts so they're genuine OEM coils from factory. Thoughts on that?
Yeah my tuner and I tried scrapping the tune. The EPC light game back after a couple 6-7000 RPM pulls. He kept reseting it but it kept coming back even after we scrapped the tune.

@@brucecustommotors When tuning he said my vehicle was running perfectly with zero misfires. The light came on a week ago after returning to stock ive been driving carefully to keep the light off. It was a custom tune. Throttle response, turbo spool, Max RPM when in P or N, and he maxed my speed at 210. Primarily he put the boost at 14 PSI.
Yeh custom tunes , normally have issues, there pride want let them take accountability, but he seems like a good runner, keep me in the loop, I think maybe the turbo wasn’t ready for the boost

Planning to go GFB DV and throttle body spacer this Spring. Recommendations to make my turbo"ready for the boost"? On your own time ofc, I appreciate the tips and advice!

Diesels use glow plugs. They ignite through compression alone, they don't need an ignition system to do that. When the piston reaches the top of the cylinder bore the air is super compressed and becomes very hot. The fuel is then injected which ignites when it hits the hot air and glow plug which sends the piston back down the bore with the con rod.
