My wife loved this song when it played during Season 4. She had been battling ovarian cancer for two years, and this song spoke very heavily to her. She passed away on June 3rd, 8:07pm GMT -5. I like how the line, "but time will mend our hearts" is contraposed with the line, "not every open wound is simply healed by time" from _Die_. Genius lyricism from Jeff as always!
They can both be true at the same time. "Time will mend our hearts", as in just leaving something to mend itself over time. Or "not every open wound is simply healed by time", sometimes you need more than just time to heal a wound. Maybe you need forgiveness, or to just let something go in order to become fully healed.

"Just one day let's forget about our problems. Let's fall in love with life and just be free. The sun will never fade, the night won't seal our day. Let's dance and laugh and love and let's just live." That's some of my favorite lyrics in any song ever.
I love the memento to Monty (and also Pyrrha) . Hearing it the first time made me start to cry. "Always keep moving forward" is RWBY's "Memory is the key".
This song speaks to me in so many levels. I've been battling depression ever since my mom passed last year. I'm left with what they call "survivor's guilt" and I feel hopeless. I feel stuck in life, hung up with the feelings of regret and yet hoping hard enough everything gets better. this song encapsulates the extreme sadness and the hope of a better tomorrow I'm constantly feeling
And this is exactly, why I hate what RWBY has become. I too suffered from depression and extreme despair, believing that I was unworthy of life. When I discovered watched RWBY and I found my Faith and Hope returning and even up till Vol. 6 I saw this Show as being one of the best Animations out that can help others like me. But then Volume 7, 8 and 9 came. They ruined the characters I looked up to as role models and people who I wished I could be friends with, who in a sense help saved me from suicide. Roosterteeth and DC turned them into awful, unheroic, self-righteous, corrupt and unrecognisable from the resilient, righteous and truly heroic individuals I cared for, all just to fit a spiteful, hypocritical and hateful Leftist, Feminist, Misandric and WOKE Narrative!
"Go forward, you must keep moving on". To the Volume 4 critics out there (I know there are a lot of you), I ask you this: Would Monty have wanted RWBY to end before it's time, when he'd given them enough to, as he always said, 'keep moving forward"? I think we all know the answer to that. My advice to you is not to stop being critical, but voice your criticisms constructively. If the animation is bad, list examples. If you think the pacing is too slow, point out where. If you just think it's not quite the same without Monty, then you're right, and nobody will argue on that point, but know that they aren't trying to be Monty, and that Monty probably wouldn't want them to be him, either. I think that, if there were anyone he trusted, it would be the staff working on it now. So we should keep moving forward, as they are.
A fucking men. I've seen so much criticism that's pointless, they're doing they're damndest, especially when you think about how much Oum's death affected us and most of us didn't work with or know him personally. They had/have to be going through 10 times what we are.
This is unironically one of my favorite songs of all time. It's practically perfect in every way I can think of, has so many amazing lyrics, the slow part near the end always fucking DESTROYS me emotionally... and then the transition from the pits of hopelessness to finally being happy again is JUST. SO. GOOD. I will never not love this masterpiece...
All these people saying that this song wasn't the best to them, and I'm just over here like, this is the first opening I liked the moment it started playing the first time. It's been my favorite since the first time I heard it and in my opinion is the most heartfelt, catchy, and altogether beautiful openings to be made for RWBY. Of course, this is also taking into account that Casey's voice was an acquired taste for me. I absolutely hated it at first, I didn't get why my datemate was so obsessed with her. But now here I am. just as obsessed if not more.
Let's Just Live is pretty much tied with This Will Be the Day and The Triumph as my favorite openings. But just talking about this one, I loved this song as soon as I heard it, didn't even know it was one of the openings when I did either, it just really struck a cord with me and felt really uplifting and so instantly became one of my favorite RWBY songs.
"And the story takes an unexpected turn/A friend is suddenly gone-" WE SPENT AN ENTIRE YEAR GETTING OVER THEM AND THEN YOU BACK THE SADNESS TRUCK UP AND RUN US OVER AGAIN?!
You know when I first heard the volume 4 intro I thought "huh this isn't that good, this might be Jeff's first song I don't really like" but after hearing the full song I love it, it's beautiful, a masterpiece. Is Jeff just incapable of making songs that aren't amazing or a bad song like WOW.
FelixRose Dude, same. And honestly, the same thing happened with volume 3s opening for me too. But after hearing the whole thing, it's like listening to a whole new song!
What I've realized about this song is fhat after the memorial section to Monty - expressing how we should keep moving forward - the song goes into a quiet moment of observation and mourning. Because that moment where you reflect and mourn your loss is still incredibly vital... But soon enough, the guitar kicks back in (maybe where anger comes in at times) and the chorus comes back around again. It's an amazing representation of a healthy grieving process for me.
I love that this is a send off to Monty. Even after his death, this show still lives on in everyone's hearts and will continue on. It's a great message to just move on and stay optimistic even through the darkest of times. Wish some people could understand that amazing lesson.
Not gonna lie, I think this might currently be my favorite intro song so far. I love how part of it's like a goodbye to loved ones, but if they were here, they wouldn't want us to stop. And as for the actual video, well, you NEVER cease to amaze me, Flynt. Keep up the good work!
Ok. Why the fuck do you keep messing with us. You keep uploading these in progressively better order. I keep having to change my favorite RWBY song every 12 hours

I just can't get my crap together today. Noticed a big error on ANOTHER (this) video after I uploaded it. Ended up having to delete, fix, render, then re-upload the video. *Sigh* Anyways, I hope you all enjoy!
i have the feeling that at the very moment that MurderofBirds hears "Go forward, you must keep moving on" he is going to burst into tears, and i don't blame him, maybe i'm exaggerating but knowing how passionate he is about RWBY i wouldn't be surprised
Zexion Cornejo unfortunately no at the moment he has'nt given any specific date, he has only said that it will be when the full soundtrack releases, considering that, there's a big chance that it will be on the exact day of the full release, but even if he doesn't stream that day, i would say that it will be surely on the weekend. at least that's my guess
Blaze Masters Knowing him personally, he probably will. He told me he's holding off listening to the music until the full soundtrack is released. When that does happen, he's going to live stream his reaction to hearing the full songs, so keep an eye out for that!
this song is especially touching to me as recently I lost an amazing friend back in April. he was 18 years old like me. Casey and Jeff always seem to make the perfect songs that help me through my day.
I'm kinda cynical about RWBY theories due to how many stupid ones I've seen. I've seen people theorize that Yang is actually Summer Rose, that the White Fang Lieutenant on the train in Volume 2 was Yatsuhashi from Team CFVY, and that Ruby actually is a Maiden and Qrow completely made up the story about the Silver Eyed Warriors.
From the lyrics, to the composition to the execution of this song. For me, this is one of the best songs I have ever heard. I can't stop listening to it. RT might of bit the dust but it left us with RWBY and some songs that are amazing.
This song literally brought me to tears, and perfectly explains how I felt about my favorite cousin, who committed suicide about 18 years ago, when I was just entering my teenage years. I was a lonely kid, an only child with no cousins or family close to my age, and it felt like he was the only person in the world who understood me. He was older, being a second cousin, and I always looked up to him. I think often about how different my life might have been if he had survived and made it through his crippling depression. He had so many people who loved and cared about him, but he just couldn't see past the darkness, and it consumed him. We have a relatively small close family, and I'm much younger than anyone else (there were no other kids born to my close family in my generation). The very first thing that went through all my family members' minds was "what is going to happen to HS (me)?" I've had a lot of dark thoughts and some low periods in my life where I was convinced nothing could ever bring me back, but I force myself to remember how I felt, and still feel, after my cousin passed away. It shattered my life at the time, and introduced me to a bitter reality that I wish I hadn't known at such a young age. I try to keep living even when I feel so isolated from reality and happiness, because I never want to put my family or friends through something like that again.
you may not have seen but a while ago I said a big reason I couldn't wait for Vol 4 was that I needed to see your videos on the soundtrack. as Jaune Arc once said, "I stand by what I said."
Every time I listen to this song I wonder how Jeff came up with that chord progression in the pre-chorus (1:52)... the interchange from major to IV minor then resolving down a fourth to the I major 7. I think it's likely one of those things you happen do by chance one day and then wonder what divine inspiration possessed you. Listening to that chord progression is one of the closest things to magic I've come across in my life. Never heard it in any other piece of music. 💜
I heard a lot of my friends saying that they didn't like this theme song because it wasn't as hard rock, but honestly it's my favourite. It just mirrors so perfectly what is going on in the aftermath of volume three and it is a perfect set up for everything in season four. Well done RT.
this song sums up Volume 4 perfectly. Everyone is trying get past everything they've been through (fall of Beacon, the multiple deaths of friends, Weiss' home life, Blake's regrets, Yang's lost arm). They're just trying their best to survive after so much tragedy while also moving forward in their personal lives (SPOILER: Weiss escapes "house arrest", Blake reconciles with parents, Yang tries out the new prosthetic arm, Ruby searches for answers with Ren, Jaune, and Nora). Also the bridge at 2:33 that was made of Monty made me pause so i could cry my eyes out for a second.
Hey guys. As someone who lost their father to a heart attack, let alone before December, I'm still finding my way again. Whilst we lived in separate families lately, I'm grateful to have enjoyed his company -- we retro gamed, shot pool, and shared drinks. Dad even wanted to take me seeing Vegas at some point... so one day I'll get there, for him. I've already deeply enjoyed this song of all the openings, but now it holds to me that much greater significance. Take care, and let's just live.
This song..it's everything Ruby is as a character to me. I imagine her singing this as she's just running through the continent of Anima, trying to keep the spirits of Ren, Nora, and especially Jaune up. He said it himself in Vol. 4, Ep...11, I believe, "You gave us the courage to follow you". And during that sad part in the middle, I imagine Ruby explaining how her grief does get her down, even more so than the others perhaps in some ways (I'm not entirely sure on that), but she still holds there memories close, using them as the force that keeps her going. It's something she's probably used to, seeing as she lost her mother, Summer, at such a young age...and that ending just feels like the ending to Vol. 4, they made it! They're ever so closer to their happy ending and she's excited to see what will come, because she knows she'll always have her friends behind her, because they aren't just her friends or teammates or family...they're her life.
This is my life right now I am still growing up but sometimes my imagination gets the best of me and when things get bad for me I think every thing will go back to normal sometimes I see my family fight and when I lost my grandma and grandpa I cried every night thinking about them but I need to move on and look to the future I just need to make the most of it not matter what people say to drag me down but I learned that not everything goes my way, but I know that life is pain but being alive is more than that. Every time me and my mom dad and brother have a good time I say to my self " I need to just live" to a of you that think your not special you are and don't let anyone tell you your not you need to just live and enjoy and make the most of life as you can and move on not matter how you look or what you want to be, thank you grandpa and grandma for helping to go above and behond I will always love and Rember you in my heart and soul locked in the light of all of my body. And I'm not just saying this to get attention I am tell you this because a voice in my mind the sound of someone with a god authority and a peaceful heavenly voice but instead of that comeing from my mind it came from my heart.
I listen to this every morning, night, before sleep, in the road, while playing, before watching any new episodes, when i feel bad.... It will remain in our hearts forever...
I LOVE the latter half of the song. That third verse leading into that silence, which then builds back up the most amazing instrumental I've ever heard! This.. is my favorite track in all of rwby. (Followed by 'Its My Turn' in second, then 'All things Must Die' in third).
This is honestly my favourite OP of all time. The music is both kickass and inspiring. The visuals and animation are epic and every character relevant to Vol 4 is done justice. The lyrics are heartfelt and are genius with the double meanings to the show and Monty. It is a 10/10 opening.
Thank you for creating this amazing story and adventure. We just wish you were here to see just how big your world has grown, how far it has reached. Happy birthday, Monty. We miss you dearly.
let’s just try to live in keep moving forward no matter what happens sometimes you’re gonna lose something that is truly close but remember that you are hope so keep pushing and searching for everything deeper into the darkness because you will have a answer and just keep fighting for what’s right I promise everyone else can still have love
I'm probably the minority here but I prefer this song over volume 5's theme. It just hits close to home with me since my brother was killed last year and I really do have to keep moving forward day by day.
My girlfriend of 3 and a half years broke up with me about a month ago and this song always felt like it was speaking to me, telling me to keep at it and dont let it hold me down. I really grew to love this song.
I can't with this song!!!!! This is an AMAZING song. The arrangement is SO beautiful. Jeff and Casey are SO talented! Casey's voice gave me ALL the feels! This song is a gift and perfectly aligned with the story! Thanks for sharing!
While watching this past Volume I'll be honest, I hated this song as it just did not seem to stand up to the others. However, hearing the full version (better quality at that) has changed my mind and I feel that this is the second best intro song in the show (because can you really beat "This Will be the Day"?) In other words, it's F***ing amazing!
In terms of visuals, Volume 1's whole intro was the best IMO. But "Time to Say Goodbye" was my favorite opening simply because the song went so well with the animation.
It's interesting I thought the song was referencing pyrah or penny being gone but I realised when I read another comment it's deeper than that it's also about monty saying goodbye and reminding everyone we must keep going and not let grief consume us and that is so heart breaking and beautiful at the same time this series and everything and everyone in it is a blessing!
The full version of this song came out just after I had lost my big brother. I listened to it a lot. Like alot. And alot of tears come with it (and still do, even now x.x) but it helped me deal with his passing. RIP Monty and my brother D.J.
God I love this song. From the underlying dedication to the recently deceased characters, as well as to Monty himself, the power behind the lyrics, and those damn guitar solos, keeping such a heavy and dreadful song so upbeat and full of energy.
I think it's more a RNJR, or more specifically a Ruby and Jaune song than team RWBY, due to the male vocal back up. The lyrics are sad, and close to things Ruby said during the volume, but the melody is upbeat and full of energy like her. The male vocals only join during the first chorus, and grows in confidence during the second verse, mirroring how Jaune, Ren and Norra were inspired by Ruby into following her, and in Jaune's case repaying the favor when Ruby was starting to feel hopeless and doubting herself. On a meta level, of course the friend gone is Monty, but in the show it's Pyrrha (and the line some dream can't come true is a sad reminder of her song Dream Come True). Jaune and Ruby are the ones who seems to be the most affected by Pyrrha's death (since she watched her die and still has nightmares, and he keep watching again and again her video).
Remicas My thoughts exactly. Unlike When It Falls which was fairly depressing and dark this song is acknowledging horrible things have happened, but stating you must keep moving onwards. In a way throughout Volume 4 every character had to do so in their own way.
When it Falls is basically Cinder singing her plan to Ruby and how she and her friends are screwed, so of course it would be dark and depressing^^ But yeah, here you have a more optimist message in pite of the bad stuff that happened
Remicas Thats exactly how I feel! Especially in the slow part, I imagine Ruby watching Jaune pratice with that video and starting to see herself as the reason why they were without hope in the first place. This song just feels like everything Ruby is as a character to me!
hearing this song while im at the hospital waiting to go to clock in at work and I start crying, the song is emotional and hopeful to me cause what is going on with my uncle since he has leukemia and its miss him a lot,i see him struggle and its making me just wana cry, espalicy at 2:34. I know he will get thru this thank you for uploading this song from the bottom of my heart.
This song encapsulates the entirety of the show so well, like words can't explain just how *great* this song is, this may just be my favorite of all the OP songs
I'm gonna be a senior in high school in August. My friends and I love rwby and when I listen to this it makes me realize how fast time and life goes by. I know the song is about season 4 as a whole but I can't help to interpret this song as to what senior year will hold. Anyway I'm done rambling 😅
Not gonna say the show is a "must-watch" if you just can't get into it, but practically the entirety of each soundtrack is immaculate imo when paired with the show. I do recommend staying clear of social media around it though; no matter what anyone else says, I'm convinced the worst part of the show is actually the "fanbase" and I hope to god you never have to find out what I mean by that lol
The thing I love about this song is how after two verses, it breaks down to reflect the feelings of loss, and then builds up to the guitar solo, like their hope is being rebuilt.
Can we all just agree that these four songs are the most beautiful and flawless songs ever written? Every single other song I've heard in my life combined pales in comparison to these masterpieces! I swear to god, I love RWBY so freaking much! It's literally my second-favorite thing in the world behind my cat, whom I may have named Blake... Anyway, this show is just so freaking perfect! God, I love it so much!
I cried when I got to the breakdown of this song. Yep, broke down at the breakdown and I love it. This song meant a lot the first time I heard it and even moreso now. Thanks for posting great content +FlyntofRWBYNation!
Gonna be honest, I stopped watching RWBY after Volume 5. But I still go back and listen to the music. Even if I don't like how the story waa going, there still a lot about RWBY I like (going beyond the music as well). This song is just incredible.
@@velvetbutterfly I feel like the tone shift is what hurt it a lot for me. the big Climax of Volume 3 was amazing, but after that the story just felt waaay to slow. It felt like they wanted to focus on it being darker without realizing what made RWBY special. It just felt like any other fantasy series after that. Another big thing for me was the fight scenes. I know they get better after volume 5, but it feels too homogenized. Like, everyone moves at a break neck speed, every gun feels the same. There's pretty much no foucs on anyone's fighting styles anymore. Also, The whole thing of Whiess not believing that Magic is real when this is a world with elemental dust and fucking superpowers has to be one of the dumbest thing I have ever seen in a story.
I was convinced to watch RWBY by a friend. Me and her have been watching 1 volume a day. Man this song hits so hard. The events at this point in the series and thinking about how it applies to my life as well. I am sad to hear of the creator Monty's passing. I know I am years late, but this goes to show how great his vision was if I am a new fan of the series now. I know some of the early animation was rough, but I love seeing how the team improved and I saw a massive improvement in the animation this volume. I honestly expected to not like the series, but now I am rather mad that I didn't watch it sooner.

I feel like RWBY is gradually trying to introduce the idea that, even in life's chaos, even if things aren't perfect, optimism is possible.

I like how the line, "but time will mend our hearts" is contraposed with the line, "not every open wound is simply healed by time" from _Die_. Genius lyricism from Jeff as always!
The songs are told by two different perspectives. They both see the world different.
Lots of the songs refer to eachother
Can’t deny it though, Die would be a great song for a tough boss fight.
They can both be true at the same time. "Time will mend our hearts", as in just leaving something to mend itself over time. Or "not every open wound is simply healed by time", sometimes you need more than just time to heal a wound. Maybe you need forgiveness, or to just let something go in order to become fully healed.
Die comes from a place of still being stuck on the past but let’s just live comes from a place of healing and moving forward

Only song I don't skip after a few episodes
Fun fact: move onward not there yet spells out Monty
Christiaan Maurik good eye i just noticed that
I just looked up the song and said what was on the wiki page
Oh. I didn't need my heart anyways. (HOLY SHIT THE FEELS)
Christiaan Maurik of foR FUCKS SAKE LIKE MY HEART WASNT ALREADY SHREDDED
Christiaan Maurik WHY MUST YOU SHATTER ME LIKE THAT
All these people saying that this song wasn't the best to them, and I'm just over here like, this is the first opening I liked the moment it started playing the first time.
AwesomeIsawesomevids Lol same here.
This intro really grew on me but I still prefer the first 3.
The first 4 openings have the RWBY kind of vibe that I notice. Hard to explain.
"And the story takes an unexpected turn/A friend is suddenly gone-"
WE SPENT AN ENTIRE YEAR GETTING OVER THEM AND THEN YOU BACK THE SADNESS TRUCK UP AND RUN US OVER AGAIN?!

Well, there goes any hopes of happinesss for the next week after reading these comments
Snowenpoint, I laughed so hard when I read your comment and it turned into tears yet again again!
I just love how the opening just describe the future events of RWBY or the whole season itself
that part for Phyrra though 💔
And Monty... *cries*
Yes!! *cries with you*

I agree. I didn't like the short version, but I love this version.
The intro solo is great though
Nearly everyone thinks this intro was weak at first. Overtime it grew on everyone.
Cold is the worst song ever though! Every time I cry! (I don't hate the song)

You Right! *goes into a corner and cry again listening to the song*
“Move Onward Not There Yet”
M.o.n.t.y
This song feels like a tribute to him
I love that this is a send off to Monty. Even after his death, this show still lives on in everyone's hearts and will continue on. It's a great message to just move on and stay optimistic even through the darkest of times. Wish some people could understand that amazing lesson.
"After yesterday is there any way we can trust tomorrow?"
The chills and emotions are pouring out my soul!
Not gonna lie, I think this might currently be my favorite intro song so far. I love how part of it's like a goodbye to loved ones, but if they were here, they wouldn't want us to stop. And as for the actual video, well, you NEVER cease to amaze me, Flynt. Keep up the good work!
To be honest, for me, This Will Be The Day is my favorite over this, but only by the TINIEST bit
Ok. Why the fuck do you keep messing with us. You keep uploading these in progressively better order. I keep having to change my favorite RWBY song every 12 hours
Because he can
Which is your favorite right now or as it changed yet or as it changed again and then again... just have multiple favorites that works better
Captain Viper2100 right now it's this. He hasn't uploaded in over 24 hours
Is this still your favorite? Not home?
Enoan Home is good. I just don't like it that much. This is still my favorite yes. Actually here's a list of my top 5
1.Lets just live
2.This Life is Mine
3.Bmblb
4.When it Falls
5.I May Fall
I just can't get my crap together today. Noticed a big error on ANOTHER (this) video after I uploaded it. Ended up having to delete, fix, render, then re-upload the video. *Sigh*
Anyways, I hope you all enjoy!
Eh, don't worry about it
FlyntofRWBYNation love what you do man sucks that you gotta go through the pain of uploading all this but it's appreciated!
FlyntofRWBYNation how did you get into RWBY
FlyntofRWBYNation hay no big deal greatest song they have made yet well this and neon
boy you're just cranking them out lately, keep up the good work!
Still my favorite op. It just has so much feeling behind it, because of the story, bc of monty, and its just a bop in general.
i have the feeling that at the very moment that MurderofBirds hears "Go forward, you must keep moving on" he is going to burst into tears, and i don't blame him, maybe i'm exaggerating but knowing how passionate he is about RWBY i wouldn't be surprised
Blaze Masters Do you know exactly what day he's going to be live streaming his reactions to the songs??
Zexion Cornejo unfortunately no
at the moment he has'nt given any specific date, he has only said that it will be when the full soundtrack releases, considering that, there's a big chance that it will be on the exact day of the full release, but even if he doesn't stream that day, i would say that it will be surely on the weekend.
at least that's my guess
Blaze Masters Knowing him personally, he probably will. He told me he's holding off listening to the music until the full soundtrack is released. When that does happen, he's going to live stream his reaction to hearing the full songs, so keep an eye out for that!
Oh, and he said that he's more than likely going to stream it the morning it's released.
FlyntofRWBYNation Oh i see
Thank you very much for the info my good sir
this song is especially touching to me as recently I lost an amazing friend back in April. he was 18 years old like me. Casey and Jeff always seem to make the perfect songs that help me through my day.
My Grandfather died,While I on Holidays
Most nostalgic season of rwyby mainly because of this theme. Haven't watched the show in years but this always brings back pleasant memories
Its actually worth coming back to rwby, especially after seasons 6,7, n 8
Awww yeah, Flynt does it again with another great video. RWBY chibi, RWBY soundtracks, RWBY theories. So much RWBY in one day. I feel so happy
WAIT A NEW RWBY CHIBI'S OUT?!?!?!?!
Hikaru Eclipse There's like 4 or 5 episodes out already, at least on RT. There's even a new episode released just today
Hikaru Eclipse if u have FIRST, episode 6 was released
Ima invoke Chibi
AAAAAWWWWW YEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAHH!!!!!
When I heard "Go forward, you must keep going on" my heart sank

yupyup, it was on purpose
ThatOneBrony *shits myself*
Woah, my mind is blown
that was supposed to be an Easter egg that Jeff himself put in
what's funny is this song was written before monty died
The very first thing that went through all my family members' minds was "what is going to happen to HS (me)?"
I've had a lot of dark thoughts and some low periods in my life where I was convinced nothing could ever bring me back, but I force myself to remember how I felt, and still feel, after my cousin passed away.

There's something special about RWBY. I can't quite pinpoint it. But the feeling comes back to me when I listen to the openings.

I feel that her voice touches your heart
Casey certainly has a talent for that doesn't she
I heard a lot of my friends saying that they didn't like this theme song because it wasn't as hard rock, but honestly it's my favourite. It just mirrors so perfectly what is going on in the aftermath of volume three and it is a perfect set up for everything in season four. Well done RT.

Space ace DAMN YOU I NEARLY FORGOT I HOPE YOUR DANICING WITH THE ANGELS BUDDY
F
My grandmother died a couple weeks ago, and this song hit me right in the feels.
Your life is EVERYTHING! You serve ALL PURPOSE! You should treat yourself NOW!
this song sums up Volume 4 perfectly.
Naiihrr Dryden-Mason it wasnt mad because monty died. it was made before his death
Megan Wingate really? how?

Pebble-Star YT ZWEI SAVED THE DAY AGAIN
This song's becoming timeless
Nice story and well said.
Thank you so much! I was waiting for the full version of this and it's even better than I thought it would be!
3:21-when the message of Moving Forward begins to build and build. Simply beautiful and uplifting.
This was already my favourite of the openings, now having heard the full version solidified that
This song..it's everything Ruby is as a character to me.
Need this anthem more than ever!
Four years ago seems like such a short time.
Rest in peace, Monty. We love you.
This song from RWBY came surfacing back after the pandemic died down a bit, I needed this.
"Go forward, you must keep moving on,"
Omfg. My heart..
I didn't even realize was a full version but I am so happy that I can finally listen to it. This song is really something special.
RIP Rooster Teeth......Move Onwards, Not There Yet
Thank you for creating this amazing story and adventure. We just wish you were here to see just how big your world has grown, how far it has reached. Happy birthday, Monty. We miss you dearly.
let’s just try to live in keep moving forward no matter what happens sometimes you’re gonna lose something that is truly close but remember that you are hope so keep pushing and searching for everything deeper into the darkness because you will have a answer and just keep fighting for what’s right I promise everyone else can still have love
I am not going to lie when the sad part came on I cried a little
Legomaster 121 you're not alone
Same.
I have chills. danm it Jeff stop making songs that are so good!!
The Iron Rhino My personal favorite is Time To Say Goodbye.
In terms of visuals, Volume 1's whole intro was the best IMO. But "Time to Say Goodbye" was my favorite opening simply because the song went so well with the animation.
The Iron Rhino V1 is best song V2 best bloodpumper V3 is best for symbolism V4 is best for restoring hope after the heartbreak that was V3
+jay guthrie oh god what's vol 5 gunna be like
blake belladonna DEAR GOD I JUST THOUGHT ABOUT IT BTW make sure Sun doesn't get cocky with camellion girl
Who's here for hearing the announcement about rwby coming back
🤝
Right here, lol.
@@nuttygamer6484 hell yeah
WHAT
whaaat? really? where?
When it Falls is basically Cinder singing her plan to Ruby and how she and her friends are screwed, so of course it would be dark and depressing^^
But yeah, here you have a more optimist message in pite of the bad stuff that happened
the friend is gone line was written for Pyrrah, Monty was alive when the song was written
Remicas Thats exactly how I feel! Especially in the slow part, I imagine Ruby watching Jaune pratice with that video and starting to see herself as the reason why they were without hope in the first place. This song just feels like everything Ruby is as a character to me!
I'm sorry I have to due to the part where you said "Ren and Nora"..... RENORA 4 ETERNITY
I've had this song on repeat nonstop since it came out.
Can we all just agree that this is the greatest song ever written?
hearing this song while im at the hospital waiting to go to clock in at work and I start crying, the song is emotional and hopeful to me cause what is going on with my uncle since he has leukemia and its miss him a lot,i see him struggle and its making me just wana cry, espalicy at 2:34. This song encapsulates the entirety of the show so well, like words can't explain just how *great* this song is, this may just be my favorite of all the OP songs
A lot of these songs are inspirational and always get me hyped up. Not to mention how they hit pretty close to home for a lot of us.
I'm gonna be a senior in high school in August. My friends and I love rwby and when I listen to this it makes me realize how fast time and life goes by. I know the song is about season 4 as a whole but I can't help to interpret this song as to what senior year will hold. Anyway I'm done rambling 😅
m00n princ3ss Just graduated in May, I miss all of my friends. But I have to keep moving forward.
Never watched the show but the song is AMAZING. Been listening since it was on Smite battle pass a few years back.
So this is how you say goodbye to a friend.
Damn it, Monty. Come back, please.
Aisha Willis if that part didn't make someone sad they are not human
I don't blame you on that one my friend.
Gonna be honest, I stopped watching RWBY after Volume 5. But I still go back and listen to the music. Even if I don't like how the story waa going, there still a lot about RWBY I like (going beyond the music as well). This song is just incredible.
May I ask what aspect of the story you didn't like? I think a fair few things are as strong as ever
At least see the story through till the end!
@@joelxl635 There's like... hundereds of other games and shows I wanna watch instead at the moment.
@@darienb1127 ok being in disbelief isn't a dumb aspect of storytelling, it's realistic. given Semblance isn't magic
Thank you! Just . . . thank you!😳
This is such a good song!!!! I found it a couple days ago, and I haven't stopped listening to it.
Even after all these years this opening theme is the first thing that comes to my mind when I think of RWBY.
