V8: Hi! I'm RWBY'S Volumen eight! They say I'm just like V3! Fandom: Because you are as good as that season was in terms of writing?! V8: Hahahahaha! No! *Because I'll tear your soul like V3 did!*
I have a LOT of bad beef with Volume 8 as a whole, but this opening song is simple GENIUS. Like, there are small lines of lyrics that foreshadow major events in the story without it being blatant, like it's a spoiler or something. "We said goodbye to all the things we loved" as a callback to 'time we said goodbye' as these girls are meant to be in a warzone now facing said harsh realities. (That I think the volume handled terribly in execution, but that's besides the point) "Maybe the path that leads our way home will finally clear" Foreshadowing their use of the portals to get the people to Vacuo, as a 'clear path' (and story wise, I hated that, but again, not the time to get into that) Followed "Maybe the end we tried to avoid is already here" Foreshadowing how the titular team get Thanosed in that black hole at the end. "Some dreams will rot on the vine" "THE VINE" HELLO?!!! That's so subtle to Vine's death, and so clever, and I love it!! And there's probably some others that I'm missing! This song is that good in this regard
It’s ironic that, after the initial hype and discussion behind this song died down? People began to fight over it, mainly because of the ‘Hero’s choose the wrong side’ part. Idk if it’s meant to be or not, I didn’t write it, but some people take that as a shot at Ironwood and turn it into ‘oh so because he didn’t agree with RWBY he’s on the wrong side?’ People in this fandom give me a headache.
Yeah, people hold Team Rwby, responsibile for James’ descent into villainy, while they are right about how Rwby played a part in said descent, team Rwby was not responsible for Ironwood’s fall as a whole, team Rwby along with Jnr, Oscar, Qrow, Ozpin and the villains played a part, even Ironwood himself played a part in his downfall, also there were several flaws in his plan. I’ll give two examples. 1. Atlas requires resources from mantle, should the city be lifted, the people will be trapped in a secluded area, causing said supplies to start dwindling and cause the people to die out, while it could be argued that he could use the staff of creation to create more supplies, he explicitly said “the staff can be used for one purpose at a time.” 2. Even if he succeeded, this would leave Remnant at Salem’s mercy allowing her to obliterate the city of Mantle and the Kingdom of Vacuo and grab the relic from from Shade as well as the remaining relics, Theodore and those with him may put up a valiant fight, but they will also be decimated, not only that but if we take into account about Salem’s immortality, she would have all the time she needs to find a way to breach the atmosphere and reach Atlas, and it is not likely, it will be inevitable that she would succeed. In conclusion in the General’s attempt to save remnant he would only condemn it as his plan was doomed to fail from the beginning and he would only prolong the destruction of Atlas and by extension, Remnant.
"We failed to stop our own Demise" The BETA RWBY's Plan(Try to save Everyone, but put the world & everybody in atlas & the relics in unnecessary danger) The ALPHA Ironwood's Plan(Leave Mantle to Die,but keep the Relics & Maiden away from Salem)
This is the dumbest reduction of what actually happened I've read yet. Ironwood's plan was short-sighted and doomed for failure even if it had succeeded. You forget, time is on Salem's side. And if Ironwood has to run away even when his army is at full strength, then Atlas stands no chance once Salem conquers the rest of Remnant and then focuses all her forces on a floating city that is alone, has little resources, and can't call for help.
@@ZurBar8 Rwbys plan got the Atlas Military killed, the fall of Atlas which means the destruction of the most technological nation with it's resourcess, loss of relics,& there's more negative effect for the loss Atlas which I won't go into more depth but i'll give you an idea.imagine the world if China got wiped off the map, imagine all the problems that would arise that basically happened with with atlas. Ironwoods plan is not short sided because it give Ironwood more time for him to plan a counter attack,& also means the Relic would be in space which Saleem would never get or get in a very very very long time. Also Saleem goal is to get the relics not conquer remmenant. Her endgoal has not been stated yet.
@@WaterfallYT No, Ironwood's dumbass planning got his army killed. He's a peace time General who has never fought a war and it shows. Also, Ironwood's plan would've done exactly what Salem wanted him to. Remember in Volume 6 when the Villains only decided to attack Atlas because they were afraid Ozpin would talk sense into Ironwood and make him call for help from Vacuo? Salem needs humanity divided to win and Ironwood's plan was going to give her what she wanted. No, all of Atlas's resources came from Mantle. Especially their Dust Mining and their experienced laborers. So if Atlas is in space, they have no access to more Dust or other resources when they need it and will eventually crumble into civil unrest once resources become scarce. That will maked Salem's job easier once she decides to take out Atlas. Plan for what? His army was at its strongest and he still wanted to run away with his tail between his legs. I don't know where you got the idea that Ironwood is a master strategist when his bright idea during Volume 2 was to Zerg Rush Mountain Glenn with no scouts even though he had no clue where the White Fang was specifically located. He's not planning shit and he didn't even mention fighting back after running away. You made that up. There is no counter-attack. He's running away, full stop. Someone has not been paying attention. Not surprising giving how stupid your arguments are. Salem's goals HAVE been stated. She wants to summon the Gods, so they'll destroy the world and her with it. She believes it's the only way to die permanently. And what makes you think Salem can't get to Atlas in space. What proof do you have that it'll take her a long time?
@@ZurBar8 1.Team RWBY had the Maiden which was the only way how Ironwood & military would have survived, because as you said Ironwoods military could not stop Saleem so Team RWBY put Ironwood in a lose lose situation,Ironwood "dumbass plan" was the best he could do in that situation. 2.No Saleem went Atlas because of Team RWBY.In v7 Cynder talks to Neo about why they were in Atlas. There next target was Vaccuo but since team RWBY had the Lamp they changed there plan. 3.Yes even though atlas was in space.Ironwood was mostly likely come back to Remnant once he had a Plan.Ironwood plan bassically meant he had more time to come up with a Better plan & with the Staff of Creation & in turn increases the chances of this new plan of stopping Saleem to work 4.Yes,tough most of Atlas resources came from Mantle.you know what happened in Team RWBY plan Mantle sunk,in Ironwoods plan the worst that would have happened is that the city would be destroyed & those resources would still be left in tact. 5.Refer to 2 6.Id like you tell me the EP & Season in where saleem plan was stated in pls 7.Its a far assume that it would take along time because as Ironwood stated theres no Grim that could go into space
@@WaterfallYT 1. Wrong. Ironwood only thought that because he was being paranoid and wanted to abandon half his citizens (which is dereliction of duty btw). Team RWBY wanted to evacuate as many Mantle citizens as they could before Salem could get through the Shield. They had plenty of time because Salem was only able to break the Shield with the Grimm River a DAY LATER. Ironwood would've had the Maiden AND his army if he had done his job and duty. 2. Wrong. Salem went to Atlas because she found out Ozpin was alive again. The Villains outright said that Ozpin was the only one able to talk sense into Ironwood and ruin Team Evil's plans. 3. lol You still think Ironwood had a plan. The dude just flayed his arm and is hopped up on pain killers. He didn't have a plan. And by the time he would come up with a "plan" Salem would have the other three Relics. 4. Mantle sunk because Ironwood shot down their evacuation transports. Team RWBY had no choice but to use the Relic to save everyone. Why are you pretending to care that Mantle sunk if Ironwood's plan was to commit dereliction of duty and abandon Mantle in the first place? 6. Volume 8 Episode 7 "War" 10 minutes in. 7. They also once believed that Grimm couldn't survive the cold of Atlas. But guess what, Salem mutated and adapted her Grimm to the cold like she did when she created her flying monkeys. Salem will mutate and adapt her Grimm to space. It's not like the Grimm need to breathe anyway since they're not living creatures.
It's ironic that the WORST volume of the series (even though the previous weren't any better) gets the BEST opening song!!! If only the series were as good as the soundtrack!!!

To all the things we loved
Gave up our lives
Just to find that it was not enough (Not enough, not enough)
We leapt in faith
Left our solitude, our carefree peace
What we thought would change the world
Was just a childish dream

Maybe the path that leads our way home will finally clear
Maybe the end we tried to avoid is already here

Some roses will never bloom
Some dreams will rot on the vine
Some lives will end much too soon
Some evil will never, ever die
Some wars will not end in peace
Some heroes choose the wrong side
Sometimes it's worth it all to risk the fall
And fight for every life
[Verse 2: Casey Lee Williams & Jeff Williams]
We tried to rise
Defeat the hate through love
Keep hope alive
Trust our hearts and somehow soar above (Soar above, soar above)
We sacrificed
Pledged our souls and gave up everything
But in the end, there's only failure
Only suffering
[Pre-Chorus: Casey Lee Williams]
Our plans of triumph torn apart
An endless sea of broken hearts
Strength's not victory
All that remains, the end of the tale, is worse than we feared
All that remains, collapsed in the void, drowning in tears
[Chorus: Casey Lee Williams]
Some roses will never bloom
Some dreams will rot on the vine
Some lives will end much too soon
Some evil will never, ever die
Some wars will not end in peace
Some heroes choose the wrong side
Sometimes it's worth it all to risk the fall and fight
[Bridge: Casey Lee Williams]
For everything we love
For all we've ever known
Maybe it's just fantasy
A foolish goal we can't achieve
This battle's near the end
We're falling faster every day
The path to victory fades away
The finish drawing near
Will this be the day
That we've always feared?
[Guitar Solo]
[Chorus: Casey Lee Williams]
Some roses will never bloom
Some dreams will rot on the vine
Some lives will end much too soon
Some evil will never, ever die
Some wars will not end in peace
Some heroes choose the wrong side
Sometimes it's worth it all to risk the fall
And fight for every life
makasih bang, muahh
*WOOOOOOOO!* YAH BABY! THATS WHAT IVE BEEN WAITING FOR! THATS WHAT ITS ALL ABOUT! *WOOOOOOOO!*
It's not out in my country so thank you for the upload!
It's worth it he wait! I'm feeling happy listening to the song! 🎵🎶
Literally when it falls part 2.0
I still have hope despite what people say. Hope is never childish and I'm sick of people treating it like it is. We need hope otherwise we have nothing.
I’m crying it’s out YES
Finally, I was wondering what took them so long to release the songs!
Family issue j believe
Jeff did a long tweet thing and said it was and immediate family member medical emergency so he took a break basically to help with that. Other than that everything is good
@@fretfultrout2788 it completely understandable i think +I would not like to rush the guy
New soundtrack hype!!!
I love the part that you did for the final part of the chorus that you color coated some of the words.
Oh gosh, thank you!
Happy Ever After/Happy Never Again
One of my favorite from rwby
Is it wrong to watch bleach listening to this? For some reason though, it fits.
STILL THOUGH IM GOING TO LiSTEN TO THIS FOREVER.
I swear if my series gets adapted, she has to be on the ost!
How I’ve waited so long for this release 😤
This song is the only one I really like from this soundtrack. I wish rwby would just go full Metal Gear Rising instead of kinda dipping its toes into the territory
oh hell yeah
Best way to end the year imo
My only complaint is the title; I really think it should've been risk the fall. But like...minor complaint, boss song as always😎
Cinder's volume
OMG ITS OUT
Why is it that the two openings with the most hopeless/negative lyrics (3 and 8) are my favorite?
Oh... so this dropped in full now? When does the Album me then?!
The full album is out! You can find it on Apple Music and Spotify.
9,10,11,12 if rwby end with 12 volumes then we are reaching the end of the franchises
my guess since around volume 5 was that it would end with volume 10
Knowing what this season is about this song is really Ironic.
CHILLS LITERAL CHILLS
THE WHOLE SONGGGG YESSS
THIS OPENING 😍😍😍😍😍‼️‼️‼️‼️
I don’t care what anyone says KH3 was pretty amazing from the visuals to the story and gameplay such a redefining of a series event tho the story is convoluted you can’t deny it
When checking the replies of this the LAST thing i expected to see was kh😭😭
Awesome!!!
I'm here for it
V8: Hi! I'm RWBY'S Volumen eight! They say I'm just like V3!
Fandom: Because you are as good as that season was in terms of writing?!
V8: Hahahahaha! No! *Because I'll tear your soul like V3 did!*
So much foreshadowing lol
Mashed up this song with Inside or after the line "for every life" the line of inside comes, you'll see
if the songs are released now that means new rwby volume.
SO EVIL WILL NEVER EVER DIE!!!!
Happy? Never Again.
Paladins fans like :)
(That I think the volume handled terribly in execution, but that's besides the point)
"Maybe the path that leads our way home will finally clear" Foreshadowing their use of the portals to get the people to Vacuo, as a 'clear path' (and story wise, I hated that, but again, not the time to get into that) Followed "Maybe the end we tried to avoid is already here" Foreshadowing how the titular team get Thanosed in that black hole at the end.
"Some dreams will rot on the vine"
"THE VINE" HELLO?!!! That's so subtle to Vine's death, and so clever, and I love it!!
And there's probably some others that I'm missing! This song is that good in this regard
FNDM: Let Ruby develop as a character!
RT: 0:57
I thought Volume 3 had despair. No that is amateur hour compare to this.
I love the first two lines. Because in this voume I said goodby to most of the things I liked about the show, oh well. Modern entertainment
😀😀
A opening perfect for My Hero Academia!
I tope to hear something like this for the last season, things are getting hard there
Hope*
I want one, just one rwby op without a guitar solo in the middle
Huh
It’s ironic that, after the initial hype and discussion behind this song died down? People began to fight over it, mainly because of the ‘Hero’s choose the wrong side’ part.
Idk if it’s meant to be or not, I didn’t write it, but some people take that as a shot at Ironwood and turn it into ‘oh so because he didn’t agree with RWBY he’s on the wrong side?’
People in this fandom give me a headache.
I mean, I love the character, but given Volume 8, it's a fair shot at that.
1. Atlas requires resources from mantle, should the city be lifted, the people will be trapped in a secluded area, causing said supplies to start dwindling and cause the people to die out, while it could be argued that he could use the staff of creation to create more supplies, he explicitly said “the staff can be used for one purpose at a time.”
"We failed to stop our own Demise"
The BETA RWBY's Plan(Try to save Everyone, but put the world & everybody in atlas & the relics in unnecessary danger)
The ALPHA Ironwood's Plan(Leave Mantle to Die,but keep the Relics & Maiden away from Salem)
@@ZurBar8
1.Team RWBY had the Maiden which was the only way how Ironwood & military would have survived, because as you said Ironwoods military could not stop Saleem so Team RWBY put Ironwood in a lose lose situation,Ironwood "dumbass plan" was the best he could do in that situation.
2.No Saleem went Atlas because of Team RWBY.In v7 Cynder talks to Neo about why they were in Atlas. There next target was Vaccuo but since team RWBY had the Lamp they changed there plan.
3.Yes even though atlas was in space.Ironwood was mostly likely come back to Remnant once he had a Plan.Ironwood plan bassically meant he had more time to come up with a Better plan & with the Staff of Creation & in turn increases the chances of this new plan of stopping Saleem to work
4.Yes,tough most of Atlas resources came from Mantle.you know what happened in Team RWBY plan Mantle sunk,in Ironwoods plan the worst that would have happened is that the city would be destroyed & those resources would still be left in tact.
5.Refer to 2
6.Id like you tell me the EP & Season in where saleem plan was stated in pls
7.Its a far assume that it would take along time because as Ironwood stated theres no Grim that could go into space
@@WaterfallYT
Huh... no references for Let's Just Live... at least, none that I saw/heard... that kinda sucks...
😶
It's ironic that the WORST volume of the series (even though the previous weren't any better) gets the BEST opening song!!!
If only the series were as good as the soundtrack!!!
I really hope the writing picks up after all of this
Why is the volume 8 soundtrack so much better than the actual volume?
They miss with the show but rwby never miss its soundtrack
