Hey everyone, if you notice a lot of weird cuts and missing episodes/moments, it’s because the video was hit with multiple copyright claims and had to edit it out
I have two theories also one of my theories is that it was somehow zordon that helped the magna defender see his son again and when Andrews broke zordons tube the reason they're still evil in the power rangers universe even after that because sword on didn't have all his energy in his tube when it was broken by Andrews I think that when the tube was broken do I expect you had already taken some of his zordons energy so even though the Z-Wave went across the entire power rangers universe and reached every inch that wasn't enough energy in the two to get rid of all the evil in the universe because it was already drained by dark spektor well most of the energy was already drained by dark specter

I always got the impression that Damon and Alpha knew the Megaship was functional but were just trying to get rid of Kai because they didn't yet know his intentions.
@@ZeonRemnants yup, they are the actual uniforms, my guess is the lot with them was available to the crew due to filming location or something, not too sure
Here's some trivia: Lost Galaxy was the most expensive season at the time. I think this was the first season where serious issues were being addressed. Sure, other seasons did it too, but Lost Galaxy was the season that raised the bar. The themes of Loss, death, regret, sexism and self doubt would be expanded in the next three seasons of power rangers.
@@augustusfreeman4032 In the episode "Loyax last battle" Loyax doesn't fight Maya because she's a girl and isn't worthy. It's after Loyax helps Maya that he accepts her challenge and is defeated.
Personally I think Trakeena's ending makes perfect sense. This entire season was full of people trying to get revenge and dying without getting it or losing what made them who they were during their journey to darkness. Trakeena being forcibly fused into Deviot effectively killed Trakeena. What we had at the end wasn't Trakeena, it WAS Deviot. He won. He got what he wanted. But he too died for it. It's very full circle to me.
@@ForrestFox626 She absolutely is. She is evil, but not PURE evil. Villamax was a great influence on her and in the beginning she really wasn't that into the whole galactic conquest thing like her father. It's only with HIS death that she vows revenge. And that's all she wanted. Revenge for her dad being killed. Ironically he only died because Deviot tricked him into thinking Trakeena was already taken out by the rangers. Deviot is responsible for the death of the family and destruction for ANY hope Trakeena had at being able to live in peace
the theory behind the Z-wave is that it would wipe all KNOWN evil from the galaxy, at that time the only known evil was all the power rangers villains who were apart of the united alliance of evil, the top dogs basically and villains who came after the Z-wave were not as known that's why they weren't effected, this is kind of backed up by the 10th anniversary episode Forever Red with the return of the machine empire generals.
It's wild looking back at The Power of Pink and seeing all the setup for making Cassie the new Lost Galaxy Pink Ranger; her standing atop the Galactabeast, her Space morpher getting stabbed, and then of course the awkwardness of the final scene having the Space team all morphed after they had to reshoot it to have Cassie leave too. But Karone taking the spot was perfect, I can't imagine it going differently now.
28:18 This scene had me Genuinely in Tears. I’m glad that Saban’s Studio Managed to Keep Black Bull’s Story Intact, they just Enhanced the Sentai Version by Making his Little Brother into his Son instead! And it’s far more Powerful. It really impacts you when you realize he’s just a grieved Father trying to make right what was Wronged from him. Though he sadly went down a path that turned him hateful. His Sacrifice is Arguably the Most emotional death scene in Power Rangers. He’s an S-Tier Character.
The magna defender is so badass, definitely one of my favorite rangers ever. Also I think he’s the only ranger-like character to die during the series and stay dead, so that’s also interesting
Actually, those “basic” Megazords were probably SUPPOSED to look like they were from the ‘80s. A lot of stuff in Gingaman was intentionally designed to look retro. The suits are the same colors as the original series, Goranger (right down to yellow being a dude). The heroes were all basically Maya; people from another world, which was not uncommon in the Showa and early Heisei shows (Zyuranger and Flashman). Even that name, Gingaman, is a throwback. A lot of team names in the ‘80s and early ‘90s ended in “man” rather than “ranger” (Bioman, Jetman, Fiveman, Liveman, Changeman, etc.). As for the mecha, the five-piece combining robot really didn’t become a thing until the late 80s. The oldest seasons with a robot just had that: **a** robot, which often didn’t even transform. Two and three piece bots (often with some sort of carrier or carrier mode, sound familiar?) acted as a transition to five, and everything in those days was very boxy. Sometimes the design of the robot didn’t even have much to do with the show’s theme if any at all.
They really wanted to finish the century doing a homage to how it all started. The very next year, GoGoV would refuse to have a sixth ranger just because, and even added an auxiliary mecha with "Boy" in the name, which was a thing in the 80s too. Traditional scientist/military commander, team of siblings. There was a lot of "classic" going on. I think in the end it was good that they took it all out of their systems, because Timeranger and Gaoranger would end up bringing Sentai to a new level of story telling, embracing CG, and taking risks.
Lost galaxy is one of my favorite sci fi shows because it did so much more outside of the power rangers like doing so many other space adventurers where the characters didn’t even morph. Not to mention it is one of the darkest seasons with the villains getting more violent up until the finale, and some rangers not surviving their heroics, making this season feel much more mature. Great video and I hope you can make the next one on Lightspeed Rescue my all time favorite season of power rangers!!!!!
I remember almost not watching this season because I went, "how can there still be villains if Zordon's wave purified all evil in the Universe? That makes no sense!"
Thinking about it now it's very simple. The Z wave eliminated all evil at the time. But evil isn't something that goes away, it comes back. At least that's what I came up with. There's also the possibility that the Z wave did not reach the LG villains.
@@PaladinNL5 This is what I thought. The Z Wave destroyed all evil at the time, but didn't prevent evil from returning - thinking about it now, for that to be the case the Z Wave would have had to eliminate free will, which would itself probably be something that was evil. Also, it's worth pointing out that the villains of Lost Galaxy aren't demons or witches. They're insects. They're just living things doing what living things do. Kinda like the Chimera Ants from Hunter x Hunter.
I really want those 2 seasons to get their own videos because they are the best in my opinion. But the whole in space- time force era is the best to me
Wow…..almost forgot Lightspeed Rescue 😅….IMO it was boring and unwatchable….i didn’t care a lot about Lost Galaxy, but I watched it here and there. Lightspeed Rescue to me was my “Alien Rangers” arcs, cuz I didn’t like them either 😅😅
It’s always been my headcanon that Damon was told to tell people that the Astro megaship was a museum not a real ship to keep people from stealing it. His job as mechanic was to keep it operational but unable to fly so no one could just sneak in and take off. A lot of people would probably want to steal the power rangers spaceship/flying home base. That’s why he tells Kai that it’s not a space ship. Her just met him. Thinks he’s just trying to steal it. Not a perfect theory, I know. Especially with Alpha 6 still being there but again, head canon.
That's what I thought. It must have been a security measure. And Damon could've just been doing inspections in case a tourist damaged anything since it's still a vehicle that's supposedly unable to fly.
Basically originally lost galaxy was set an indeterment amount of time after in space, so this might make sense, but because future ranger seasons would imply a small timeframe between seasons, this one was retroactivly changed to be about a year to a few months after.
Dude you absolutely nailed this video. Lost Galaxy is an awesome season. Fun fact in Lost Galaxy the Green Ranger's zord was a "Condor" but in Gingaman it's supposed to be a "Dragon." I first found out and was like... "??? That's a dragon??? Oooookaaay..." Lol😊
43:58 Fun fact about "Green Courage" In the opening scene where Daman returns a dropped report paper to one of his commanders, there's a short close-up of the paper, saying a meteoroid field just collided with a planet located at "ten zero eleven zero zero, by zero two from galactic zero," in the constellation of Kasterborous. Doctor Who fans will recognize this as the coordinates of the Doctors home planet, Galifrey.
I always love when Zords are sentient creatures, it adds some connection between them and their rangers. The Galactabeats being literal space kaijus is an awesome concept, only able to combine after turning into robots by a new type of magic.
Patricia has always been and will always be one of my all time crushes. I never understood as a kid why so many of my friends were crushing on Ashley. Yeah Ashley is cute. But PATRICIA….holy cow she is just so gorgeous she is on a whole other level. One of the most underrated pinks ever as well imo, in both Turbo and In Space
Speaking of that balance of color and white on the suits, Saban was actually going to introduce the Dairanger suits as alternate forms at some point because they were so similar. Supposedly, the Kendrix switch messed things up and the idea was shelved, but they DID end up recycling Dairanger’s Aura Changer as the Magna Defender Morpher.
I remember hearing something about that. That that’s what the original plan for the lost galaxy was for and why mikes morpher was different from the rest
@@moseskuria1234no it was not, longtime writer on the series Jackie Marchand confirmed that there wasn’t any plans to use the Dairanger outfits for ancient rangers stuff. The idea of using them pop up here and there but it was always put on hold until the footage became too old compared to what they were using at the time.
If you didn't notice, the soldier armor was resused armor props from the Startship Troopers movie. You can even see some soldiers in the background wearing stained armor with orange or green bug blood.
Well, technically, not six rangers, you can count Jungle Fury, Beast Morpher, Dino Charge and Cosmic Fury as well. Jungle Fury - RJ, 4th, the was their mentor until he became Wolf Rangers. Dino Charge - Kendall, 8th, was the rangers tech person until the Purple Energems chose her to be come the Purple. Dino Fury - Fern was Izzy girlfriend who accidentally joined the rangers on their trip through space. After saving Solon became the first Orange Power Ranger. Beast Morpher - Nate, 4th, was the rangers tech person until the he was force by the villain to create something for them and actually created the gold and silver power. You might also say Tommy in Dino Thunder and Ziggy from RPM. But the reason Tommy and Ziggy don’t count is even they didn’t get their powers in ep 1, they basically got their at the start. While non of the people I listed are “6 Rangers” I think they count is because they were there from ep 1 and it was a long wait before they got their power.
I recently discovered your channel when I was both sick with a stomach flu, and suffering from a severe anxiety attack. Your Power Rangers videos really helped take my mind off of both things for a couple days, which helped immensely. Thanks for making these! I'm really stoked to watch this one, and hopefully lots more future videos on the franchise.
This is my favorite Power Rangers series. It isnt the best season, but its the one I love the most. Leo is my favorite red ranger and Kendrix and Karone are my favorite pink rangers!
The crazy thing is that they had already recorded at least one episode with Patricia Jo Lee before everything went down with Saban, and it definitely would have been interesting to see.
Heck yeah!! My all time favorite Power Rangers season! It did everything right - awesome characters with depth, the *best* team up episodes, the return of Karone, the Psychos, the Magna Defender...just epic ❤
Lost Galaxy so soon after Space? Alright. Subscribed. Lost Galaxy is the epitome of a flawed season. It felt obvious a lot of it wasn't planned out or executed properly but it still had so many great things going for it. Something that aged incredibly well were the scenes in their apartments during the end of episodes. Growing up really let those moments connect with you.
Huh...It just occured to me, since no one else has mentioned it about the GSA. "Touchstone Pictures called, they want their Mobile Infanty uniforms back!"
Just want to let you know that Japan is making a model kit of this season’s main Megazord, if you wanted it. So glad that you’re going beyond the Zordon era!
One of my favorite seasons. The amount of character depth Trakeena gets over the course from being a spoiled princess to a ruthless insect queen is amazing. Rip Vilemax…
Man these videos really bring me back. I’m only 23 but I remember going to my local blockbuster and always begging my dad to rent me that DVD the best of the power rangers the ultimate rangers and watching it for hours. Love these videos I really hope they do well!
59:18 fun fact: in the extended version of legendary battle, the extended episode has Karone make an appearance though not only her status as the 2nd galaxy ranger is represented, but before she puts on her helmet, another figure is seen for a moment...
Or have Karone show up as a Purple In Space Ranger. Since she would've been purple in space if she didn't get capture by Ecliptor and turned into an android. Purple Shirt: th-cam.com/video/RiE6iyrLiGM/w-d-xo.html Captured by Ecliptor: th-cam.com/video/RiE6iyrLiGM/w-d-xo.html
Gingaman is actually fantastic and the villain motivations, schemes and performances absolutely make up for their silly designs. That said as henchmen go…jesus there’s just no defending them. Don’t hold that against Gingaman that’s all I ask. Too many people do who haven’t seen the series and then realize Gingaman is low key one of the best underdog Sentai with an incredible core team and rock solid villains.
This is not true. Gingaman was one of the lowest rated Sentai series for a reason. It was one of the rare occurrences that Power Rangers season was the "better" one. It is argued in the sentai streets that if it wasn't for Goseiger, Gingaman would still be close to the "bottom".
@@BmoreAkuma this is largely a myth. Most sentai fans did not “prefer” the American diverse cast of Lost Galaxy over Gingaman. I also never said it was popular at the time just that in retrospect it had a great cast and excellent character progression for both heroes and villains
5:43 You forgot to mention how Damon shouted mike as well but he just met him for the first time in his life and doesn't have any emotional connection with Mike
that Kingdom Hearts Music hit different when you're baked asf this late of the day XD AND THE FIRE EMBLEM 3 HOUSES THEME!! 49:25 - what song/theme is this? sounds so nice 51:50 - its been so long since this scene that I forgot how cute she was 1:00:30 - i need this one asap, its so familiar
19:13 I don't know if this was just an editing hiccup but the sudden cut to "BLAST HIM" is so funny, it's like even Connor is telling Zika "get down kid you have no idea what you're dealing with"
I’ve always loved the Torozord. It’s always been my head canon that since it makes a new plateau every time it transforms that there’s just a bunch of random plateaus all around terraventure confusing the hell out of everyone.
I love the TEAM ASPECT of this season there power up LIGHTS OF ORION Needs ALL 5 rangers otherwise it wont work... Magna defender was epic the music his weapon and his son, the zords this season were great and galaxy megazord able to use lights of orion was epic. FIRST ON SCREEN DEATH in kendrix was amazing bold move in the ranger universe.
Two errors I noticed with your narration for Journey's End. 01:13:01 "In it's weakened state the colony is forced to land on a moon" - It didn't 'land' it crashed on the moon after Trakeena blew up its last working engine and sent it drifting helplessly on a crash course. 01:14:48 "The Scorpion Stinger then comes across the ship (singular?) taking the citizens to safety, Trakeena ordering Villamax to blow it (?) up." There are clearly multiple shuttles taking the citizens. Not just one.
Mike's Morpher is not from Ginga Man. It is actually from an unused Sentai - Dairanger - that footage and the Zords were used for Mighty Morphin' season 2.
You are literally making me remember my obsession with Power Rangers growing up. I'm 25 now and still get as exited as i used to get when a was just a kid. Cant wait for that Lightspeed Rescue!
Lost Galaxy certainly felt like a solid "Season 2" to In space, yet still managed to hold it's own.(Granted the arc revoling around the titular Galaxy felt like a glorified filler arc and an excuse to burn through as much Gingaman footage as possible, but still) I really like that it has a very reccuring theme of sacrifice, really deep for Power Rangers!
Fun fact: the soldier gear that they use in the first episode is actually the same gear they used in Starship Troopers. This is also why, much like the movie, the main villians are bug inspired in Lost Galaxy since the showrunners were big fans of the film
Yep that was due to all the gingaman monster general suits still being used for Gingaman’s team up with Megaranger which took place after the show. It’s why a lot of the gingaman villains show up later
Themes that define PRLG for me: Death and loss - the most strongest theme of the show. The villains especially. This series, until RPM, had the highest kill count in a Power Rangers series: Scorpius, Furio, Treacheron, Magna Defender, the Mirinoians (until the finale by restoration), the Guardian of the Galaxy Book, Zika, Kegler (offscreen), Villamax, Hexuba, Barbarax, Captain Mutiny, Stingwingers, Swabbies, and more importantly Kendrix. Trakeena was defeated at the hands of Leo's Battlizer so her real death would be PERMANENT by the time "Trakeena's Revenge" in Lightspeed Rescue came around, marking her final appearance for good. Mike was initially believed to have died but he actually fell into the creavasse Magna Defender fell in in the conflict all those years ago and used his body as a way to escape via life Force. I wouldn't say Deviot died when he merged with Trakeena in the finale. When the two merged, Deviot s mannerisms merged with Trakeena so would some of his parts such as his gauntlet arm and cables for extended hair to her head dress. By the time the Scorpion Stinger crashes to the moon, Leo's Jet Jammer notwithstanding, his mind and consciousness in Trakeena did fade as she would have no choice but to mutate into her green mantis form. Sacrifice Revenge Regret Sexism - take "Loyax's Last Battle" for instance and Trakeena not being able to fight in earlier episodes prior to "Heir to the Throne" Overprotective Family Members - Oh boy! Where do I start with this one? Starting with this Ranger series, this season is what started the trend of overprotective family members, though Time Force started the trend of Red Rangers with Daddy Issues (male or female). In Lost Galaxy, we had Mike overprotective of Leo in the two part premiere, Scorpius being overprotective of Trakeena until his death in "Heir to the Throne ", the one off characters of Colby and Ginger in "Red Romance". Filler episode by the way. I think that's about it. Redemption, Karone being the moat redeemed and became a Ranger after facing her villainous past. Magna Defender and Villamax were redeemed but sadly and fatefully died cutting their change of heart very short. Irredeemability - Particularly the villains. Best keep them evil and be done with them. Especially Trakeena. Loyalty and shivalry - Another theme thev villains fall under, mainly Scorpius and Trakeena's army. Slavery - Captain Mutiny and his army enslaves people forever in his slave camp until they die. Harsh. EDIT: Doubt and Destiny - Leo wonders if being the Red Ranger was truly his destiny although Mike pulled the Red Quasar Saber. The show really had us believe Mike would be the Red Ranger. But nope! Little bro gets the sword as big bro falls to his demise in crevasse. Homesickness - Obviously, Maya missing her people on her home planet Mirinoi, after being turned to stone by Furio. Throughout the season, she may feel as though her civilization is all but dead. The final episode defeated that purpose as the show concluded when Terra Venture and the Rangers made it to what was supposed to be "The new world", turns out they ended up exactly where their journey started. The journey started on the planet so it ends on the planet. Poetically. Survivors guilt - Maya most falls in this. Leo, Trakeena, and Magna Defender also fall under this after losing loved ones. While Mike returned after Magna Defender died, Trakeena loses her father and seeks hellbent retaliation upon the Power Rangers and Terra Venture and Magna Defender sought revenge against Scorpius for killing his son Zika.
Glad you made this. Lost Galaxy was the series where I got too old for power rangers (again) and checked out. I missed the holdovers from In Space but wasn't patient enough for them to return. I checked out early, somewhere near the start of the Magna Defender arc.
This was a great video to stumble across especially since I hadn’t seen lost galaxy before this. This looks like a really fun series to keep up with and I hope at some point you get to spd emergency since that’s the one I watched most as a kid and I’d love to hear someone else’s opinion on it and comprehend what I watched as a little one.
This season has the most banger theme song, and is just the best season overall. And that crossover was just a blast. The Psycho rangers were the best villains ever.
Lost Galaxy is my favourite season. It was my introduction to PR, my brother had the VHS for the Magna Defender arc and the rest was history. Though it has it's problems and not without reason. It's probably the most troubled production next to RPM, a lot of things went wrong for them. Valerie Vernon's exit was one thing but LG was screwed over since the beginning. Matching a nature themed sentai to a space opera narrative. There was someone else who played Maya but left a couple of episodes in. Scripts were rewritten during the Lights of Orion arc and filmed close to release date. I read that The Mystic Knights of Tir Na Nog got axed, so this season could have more of a budget. Despite these issues, I still love the series. It's the original dark season of PR way before RPM aired. I loved the Terra Venture concept even if it didn't make sense sometimes. The villains were awesome once Trakeena took over. Rangers performed some really cool feats and Karone is my waifu. The finale is my favourite. The cracked helmet shot still gives me chills. P.S- Glad I'm not the only one who loves the Galaxy Megazord. I even bought it for my 18th birthday.
Power Rangers Lost Galaxy is in my opinion one of the underrated seasons and most likely right up there as the best seasons of Power Rangers. I remember as a kid that I didn’t bother caring for Lost Galaxy cause I was so lost and didn’t care for Power Rangers, but once I watch it I get hook cause the characters and the story arc was good. The Lost Galaxy Rangers have great character development and throughout the season, making sacrifices (Power Rangers always have to sacrifice) for example Mike had to sacrifice twice in order to save his friends (first episode and the episode when Mike had to sacrifice his Magna Defender power before the three part series finale), Kendrix sacrifice her life to destroy the sword. The team up with In Space is in my opinion the best team up in Power Rangers history, most people would say Forever Red, I love the Forever Red team up, but it should’ve been a two or maybe three part episode, Damn You Disney! Karone redemption arc from her evil history as Astronoma from In Space to the Pink Ranger.
I'm surprised that you didn't mention that Green courage was also the first episode where Damon was outside of the suit and Amy Miller, Is the address behind Trecina, was interacting with her eventual real life husband.
Definitely needs a re-up. Too many things are cut out/skipped/glitched out. Something definitely happened during the upload or during the edit. Aside from the technical problems, great vid. Just wish it was all there 😅
Bro I just gotta say THANK YOU! as a whole hearted power ranger fan myself your videos explaining all the episodes and the plot and even what happened in real life behind the scenes to get a full idea of everything has been amazing for me it's exactly everything I look for in a TH-cam video and explanation video a perfect mix of humor and info if you have any intention of going through all series I'll be here for it! 🎉❤
Mikes magna defender morph is/was will be my favorite morph of all time just him tossing up the sword yelling *MAGNA POWER* catching the sword with black flames lost galaxy theme playing and finally morphs
Gingaman wasn't that far off from a space team. All the Seiju are alien creatures, but charged with protecting Earth. The villains are a space pirate crew that wants to destroy Earth to use it as a power resource. What is unique about Gingaman is that the Rangers themselves are natives of a hidden village that has lived alongside this knowledge for millenia; and somehow that gets more focus than all the space stuff. For anyone that plays D&D out there, Gingaman is like a group of Circle of the Stars Druids. Speaking of which, Gingaman also focus heavily on just the Red (for all intents and purposes pretty much the same character as Leo minus Fire Magic) and Green (completely different character, mature, husband, vice-leader, excelent swordsman), but Lost Galaxy actually does a better job with giving more characterization to Blue, Yellow and Pink (Yes, actually. In Gingaman they're pretty much "beefcake simp", "the kid" and "the girl"). Lost Galaxy did a lot of original footage, like In Space. It's actually pretty good on that for what it is. My Lost Galaxy theory is just that. "The Lost Galaxy" wasn't reached by the Z Wave. That's one of the reasons why it is lost. Which means the universe sweep is through, but there were places shielded from it. That doesn't matter for long because the franchise soft reboots next season and will only ignore the soft reboots when necessary. The lost brother, doppelganger actress, blue ranger falling in love, Magna Defender's introduction and backstory and conclusion, Trakeena betraying Treacheron, the stolen beauty, Loyax, the a-hole brother, analyzed powers, and a couple other things, are all plots lifted right out of Gingaman. Making this season the one that is closest to source material so far, a trend that will only ramp up from here. But there's some fun twists. Though Trakeena acts like one of the villains in gingaman, most of her story is brand new, and changes around her to accomodate includes the first monster General to die in Gingaman to be repurposed as Villamax. Of course what happened to Valerie was a shame, it is also one of the most iconic Power Rangers' original material. While I'll admit I didn't know the whole thing about Cassie, Karone was already supposed to have been an extra all-new ranger the previous season, so it is actually really interesting how it played out. This show is accidentally the most "feminist" season of this show if you can even say that, and by complete accident.
I've been really interested in the power ranger reviews here I really wonder if Connor continues this, I really would like to hear him talk about the Disney era Power Rangers seasons only bc I remember that era of PR very fondly Anyways great work with this one, really enjoyed the In Space video
When you think about it zordons energy was being drained in power rangers in space so it actually makes sense that he didn't have all his energy when he sacrificed himself so even though the Z-Wave possibly reached all the corners of the universe without all of zordons energy of course they would still be evil in the universe of power rangers am I the only one who knows that and think that makes sense
You think Zordon overestimated the effects of his energy or do we just misinterpret "the forces of evil" as "all evil, period"? Maybe he gathered it could at least fend off the evil forces that manifested at that time - no guarantees about other evil.
@@jjwubs1638 I don't know I can't read minds but that's my best theory because it's not like you can just ask hold on to actor hey why are there evil forces still out there in the power rangers universe???¿??? Seriously how would that even work do you really expect them to give you an actual answer
This season really said "Leo is hot and now that's your problem, children" - the amount of sweaty shirtless scenes they gave him really warped me during my formative years lol
I got to say out of all the Power Ranger Megazords and Zords the battlefleet Megazord from Operation Overdrive in the lost galactabeasts are my favorite ones.❤
1:09:29 Im surprised it took this long in the franchise for one of the coolest and more iconic power rangers shots to appear for the first time. I could swear ive seen it happen more often
My Ranger history is a bit fuzzy, but I'm pretty sure that the Space Rangers and Lost Galaxy Rangers were the first actual team up of current and past season teams, which then started a time honored tradition, until Mystic Force and once more in Operation Overdrive and then that was it for team ups.
Actually. The First Real Team Up was with Alien Rangers and the Zeo Rangers. But the problem with that Episode was that they were Limited to Sentai Footage that Didn’t convey all the Story that Power Rangers wanted to tell. So as a Team Up episode. It’s underwhelming. While Lost Galaxy and In Space, really upped the Ante!
NSFW Fun Fact: The actress that played the yellow galaxy ranger is one of the rare few you see naked in a movie. 2nd being Lili from Jungle Fury in the movie Cabin in The Woods.
The quasar sabers are my favorite ranger weapons. I’m a huge fan of Arthurian legend so I love the idea of the swords in the stone and the rangers being the chosen to pull them
Rewatching Lost Galaxy recently I realized I never questioned why Magna Defender and his son always wore their armor, now I figure they’re some kind of Mandolorian type race which is really cool.
When I was a kid I thought that lost Galaxy was just an all right season and I still technically stand by that point. Like don't get me wrong the season does have some pretty good moments like the first ever official team up between the space and Galaxy Rangers, Magna defender with his whole arc along with Mike being the magna defender, Villmax being a good antagonist while having a soild arc and Ranger death along with Korene being the new Galaxy Pink Ranger, but the show definitely feels pretty weak. The whole lost Galaxy thing definitely feels like a giant filler arc that needed to happen but there was no big important thing of loss, most episodes felt aimless and the rangers themselves were kind of mid. And I have a feeling this won't be the last time something like this happens but hey at least we had a really cool theme song that was unique and Korene..... You know now that you mentioned the fact that she was wearing a normal default outfit that basically showed off her cleavage and now without her evil villain make up and wig..... Why did you have to remind me that she's hot lol. Curse you Connor! But still soild look over into this season and catch you for Lightspeed Rescue!
Hey everyone, if you notice a lot of weird cuts and missing episodes/moments, it’s because the video was hit with multiple copyright claims and had to edit it out
I literally just came to the comments to ask where did Alpha come from and why are the psycho rangers suddenly here Lol
First off you forgot to mention that they also lost the AI when they lost the Astro mega ship you know that AI

Even funnier, maybe they just wanted Kai to leave for they can close up shop. Damon goes home and Alpha goes to... recharge?
Do yall even know about Super Sentai??
@Palestinewillbefree975 what does that have to do with this comment?
@Palestinewillbefree975 of course we do. But this don't make no sense
The fact that this season actually uses the Starship Troopers uniforms and has bug themed foot soldiers and villains is so funny to me
The fact it had starship trooper stuff and the magna defender made this season lit af
Only thing missing was a cameo from Neil Patrick Harris!
I was just about to ask if those were the starship trooper uniforms lol
glad I'm not crazy
@@ZeonRemnants yup, they are the actual uniforms, my guess is the lot with them was available to the crew due to filming location or something, not too sure

Same, I am pleasantly surprised tho
Mamga Defender is Racer X and Mandolrian has a baby
You and me both my guy. He's in the zone making these videos for them to come out this fast.
Power rangers lost galaxy the animated series look good.
I really hope if he ever gets to that point, he talks about the Disney era PR seasons
I always read the title of "Lost Galaxy" as metaphorical. Without zordon, without the rangers, and looking for a new home, people were lost.
First half of the season was mostly brand new footage, and Saban bought a bunch of stuff from Starship Troopers. No wonder they blew their budget.
The reason for the budget being higher is because it uses the remaining budget of another cancelled tv show.
The Magna Defender Arc was so heavy, and then when Kendrix dies too. Still hits me every time I watch it.
How did it addressed sexism? 😂
Trakeena is a kind of tragic villain when you put it that way.

This scene had me Genuinely in Tears.
Fun fact, The Rescue Mission is the first power rangers episode with no Sentai footage. It is all new footage shot in the US
I dunno man, mmpr season 3 ninja quest part 2 ??
There is so lot episode without sentai footage dude even in mmpr the sentai footage it just 20%
@@Tokime86 hmmm probs not in season 1 and 2....all the mecha/megazord footage is sentai
Actually that honor goes to The Ninja Encounter Part 1. It doenst even feature a single morphed Ranger or monster
Fun fact: this guy has no clue what he's talking about 🤣🤣
Actually, those “basic” Megazords were probably SUPPOSED to look like they were from the ‘80s.
I think in the end it was good that they took it all out of their systems, because Timeranger and Gaoranger would end up bringing Sentai to a new level of story telling, embracing CG, and taking risks.
even the opening song is sung by a famous anime singer from the 60s, 70s and 80s
"Oh no, his one weakness: Moving!"
Great line right there. Excited to see you continue this series into the later seasons
That part was really funny and hilarious
I remember almost not watching this season because I went, "how can there still be villains if Zordon's wave purified all evil in the Universe? That makes no sense!"
It explains right away that the new villains are from another galaxy
@@AndreNitroX Galaxy < Universe
As the meme goes: "There's a very simple explanation for that"
Thinking about it now it's very simple.
I can't wait for you to do Lightspeed Rescue and Time Force because they were my introduction to Power Rangers.
I really want those 2 seasons to get their own videos because they are the best in my opinion. But the whole in space- time force era is the best to me

Fun fact in Lost Galaxy the Green Ranger's zord was a "Condor" but in Gingaman it's supposed to be a "Dragon."
I first found out and was like... "??? That's a dragon??? Oooookaaay..."
Lol😊
It’s a dragon falcon
It’s supposed to be a falcon. It’s called Gingalcon.
Super Sentai has had a condor guy, though, in Jetman.
I did not know that.
It's a vegetarian Rodan is what it is.
Looks more like a dragon than a condor to me.

Fun fact about "Green Courage"
In the opening scene where Daman returns a dropped report paper to one of his commanders, there's a short close-up of the paper, saying a meteoroid field just collided with a planet located at "ten zero eleven zero zero, by zero two from galactic zero," in the constellation of Kasterborous.
Doctor Who fans will recognize this as the coordinates of the Doctors home planet, Galifrey.
What? What? WHAT?
That you for making me love this series even more
GALIFREY?!!
Supposedly, the Kendrix switch messed things up and the idea was shelved, but they DID end up recycling Dairanger’s Aura Changer as the Magna Defender Morpher.
interesting
The dairanger suits were going to be used in a flashback scene as the ancient galaxy rangers.
@@moseskuria1234 that would have been amazing. And it would have kinda Made sense

SPD too, right?
Cam is probably my favorite 6th Ranger thanks to that. It felt so cathertic when he finally got to be a ranger
Literally Tommy in mmp s2-3
I recently discovered your channel when I was both sick with a stomach flu, and suffering from a severe anxiety attack. Your Power Rangers videos really helped take my mind off of both things for a couple days, which helped immensely. Thanks for making these! I'm really stoked to watch this one, and hopefully lots more future videos on the franchise.
This is my favorite Power Rangers series. It isnt the best season, but its the one I love the most.
Leo is my favorite red ranger and Kendrix and Karone are my favorite pink rangers!
I consider this show not just a great power rangers season but a great sci fi show in general
The crazy thing is that they had already recorded at least one episode with Patricia Jo Lee before everything went down with Saban, and it definitely would have been interesting to see.
Missed opportunity was the civilians not going full starship troopers so the series can be in the Helldiver 2 memes.
Bringing managed democracy to a lost galaxy with the lights of ori--freedom!
They didn't do their part!
Heck yeah!! My all time favorite Power Rangers season! It did everything right - awesome characters with depth, the *best* team up episodes, the return of Karone, the Psychos, the Magna Defender...just epic ❤
Absolutely some of the best moments of power rangers happened in this season
Another Lost Galaxy lover!
"Unnecessarily sexy"
You hold your tongue sir, there is no such thing.
I love how their chest designs line up with the galactic beast face during morph.
One of my favorite seasons. The amount of character depth Trakeena gets over the course from being a spoiled princess to a ruthless insect queen is amazing. Rip Vilemax…

What’s ridiculous about pirates?
This is not true. Gingaman was one of the lowest rated Sentai series for a reason. It was one of the rare occurrences that Power Rangers season was the "better" one. It is argued in the sentai streets that if it wasn't for Goseiger, Gingaman would still be close to the "bottom".
@@BmoreAkuma this is largely a myth.
Most sentai fans did not “prefer” the American diverse cast of Lost Galaxy over Gingaman.
I also never said it was popular at the time just that in retrospect it had a great cast and excellent character progression for both heroes and villains

He knows that lol
@@larryfoulkeofficial8609 never said he didn't. But it wasn't mentioned in the video, and others don't know, so they can know if they see this.

No one ever mentions how the zig zags on their suits resemble teeth, which fits well with the Galacta beasts/Star beasts
Yoooo you gotta re-upload most of "Redemption Day" is cut out. I was look forward to Magna Defender's final walk thru the flames
Fun fact: the soldier gear that they use in the first episode is actually the same gear they used in Starship Troopers. This is also why, much like the movie, the main villians are bug inspired in Lost Galaxy since the showrunners were big fans of the film
I've been going through gingaman for the first time. Kinda enjoying the comparison between one of my favorite seasons.
Also in the Japan Sentai version Furio was introduced in MegaRanger( In Space Rangers) , never appeared Gingaman (lost galaxy).
Yep that was due to all the gingaman monster general suits still being used for Gingaman’s team up with Megaranger which took place after the show. It’s why a lot of the gingaman villains show up later
Themes that define PRLG for me:
Death and loss - the most strongest theme of the show.
Sacrifice
Revenge
Regret
Sexism - take "Loyax's Last Battle" for instance and Trakeena not being able to fight in earlier episodes prior to "Heir to the Throne"
Overprotective Family Members - Oh boy!
Mike becoming the Magna Defender was such an epic moment!!!
It has been SO long since I watched Lost Galaxy. My memory is fuzzy but I just remember Leo being an absolute unit.
Glad you made this. Lost Galaxy was the series where I got too old for power rangers (again) and checked out. I missed the holdovers from In Space but wasn't patient enough for them to return. I checked out early, somewhere near the start of the Magna Defender arc.

19:50 an on screen child death is really something i'd never expect from power rangers
I can't believe this video dropped as I was watching Lost Galaxy! Thanks, Conner!
The real Starship Troopers outfits and bug villains. How did I not get that connection until now?
Jason Narvy ended up as a college professor, think he made the right call

So... the green ranger was Zoro? LOL
I've been really interested in the power ranger reviews here
I really wonder if Connor continues this, I really would like to hear him talk about the Disney era Power Rangers seasons only bc I remember that era of PR very fondly
Anyways great work with this one, really enjoyed the In Space video
Lost Galaxy has to be one of my favorites let alonenfor paying for paying an actors cancer treatment
This season really said "Leo is hot and now that's your problem, children" - the amount of sweaty shirtless scenes they gave him really warped me during my formative years lol
the magnet defender is the definition of standin on business from his song to his walk
Vote for the weird world of power rangers lightspeed rescue
👇
I got to say out of all the Power Ranger Megazords and Zords the battlefleet Megazord from Operation Overdrive in the lost galactabeasts are my favorite ones.❤
I love the Opetation Overdrive Megazords(Battlefleet being my favorite), might my favorite of the bunch after Dino Fury ones.
The magna defender was my favorite as kid. Me and my little brother would fight over who gets to be him lol
1:09:29 Im surprised it took this long in the franchise for one of the coolest and more iconic power rangers shots to appear for the first time. I could swear ive seen it happen more often
DO NOT STOP MAKING THESE! Keep doing Gods work.
The algorithm truly blessed me this Saturday
Is it just me or are there cuts from some of the episode recaps?
Lost Galaxy, Time Force, and Lightspeed Rescue were some of my favorite PR seasons as a kid.
If chris hansen saw this dude in real life hed ask him to take a seat 😂
NSFW Fun Fact:
The actress that played the yellow galaxy ranger is one of the rare few you see naked in a movie. 2nd being Lili from Jungle Fury in the movie Cabin in The Woods.
I've been binging your Power Rangers videos and I can't wait to see more
Starship Trooper Rangers!
The quasar sabers are my favorite ranger weapons. I’m a huge fan of Arthurian legend so I love the idea of the swords in the stone and the rangers being the chosen to pull them
YES DUDE!!!!! I Have been waiting forever! PLEASE CONTINUE WITH THIS SERIES!
Rewatching Lost Galaxy recently I realized I never questioned why Magna Defender and his son always wore their armor, now I figure they’re some kind of Mandolorian type race which is really cool.
Ron Wasserman sings the themes fron MMPR through WildForce if i remember correctly.
