I'm from France...yes, our cemeteries are different, when I came to the US, I was shocked to see American cemeteries with headstone, but people can stand over and walk all over your grave, I always thought it was so disrespectful, sometimes I see people leaning or sitting on a headstone when visiting or attending someone else who's getting buried.
I needed more eyes to watch this one Sue, and I ran out of wows, lol! Nice to see, even with the decay, that it is well looked after. Some of those crypts were amazing, the Princess one in particular.Trying to picture how they got the coffins down in the skinny ones gave me a headache. I can't thank you enough for all the walking you did for us. Loved every step of this walkabout. Take care. Deb of Oz XXX
I'm so grateful to see some of the old Jewish graves haven't been vandalized. Especially with Paris being occupied for 4 years during WW2. Thank you for sharing. I hope to one day visit Europe. Much ❤from Nashville TN USA 🇺🇸 😎
@@SerenitySueGraveyards Hello guys what a beautiful resting place great walk thankyou for doing what you do I did not go visit my family for years at there resting places after watching this episode I will make time to go thankyou
Awesome, fantastic journey. Great photography I like this place better than Highgate. It’s better maintained great EVP that was cool. Thank you so much for taking us with you. I wasn’t ready for it to end. Much love Sue❤🇺🇸
Awesome video sue I watched it first my hospital bed I'm due to have open heart surgery soon the risks of it could see me in a mausoleum but god willing it won't end up that way hope you are well and gv too
Ah Martin, I'm so sorry you're in hospital. Look I know you'll be OK Sir, I'll send you an Irish prayer and blessing. I honestly hope everything goes well ❤️
According to Wiki...Eduord Nadaud was a classical violinist who taught at the Conservatoire de Paris for 24 years, from 1900 to 1924. Interestingly, the photo they show is this very bust in this very cemetery. How cook is that? His parents were paper merchants, and his father was also a music teacher. He had 2 older brothers who worked in sales. Glad I can give a bit back to this wonderful channel Sue!
Very interesting cemeterie. Lotta of whispers but many sounded french and sadly I'm not fluent. One grave that stood out to me was the one with the big scallop shell. Scallops are a symbol of pilgrimmage. So a possible interpretation of it is that the deceased's soul is on its final pilgrimmage back to God.
Only found this channel recently watched a few now , got a lot of stress at the moment. Sounds wierd but i find you so relaxing and de stressful thank you so much sue ❤
Wow😮 so interesting. I guess there was no where else to put a bridge. The mausoleums are absolutely gorgeous!!!!! The plus size. It is manicure d and clean....grass cut. Thanx for the beautiful tour. I can never get to these places but because of you dear Sue this is just as good. God bless.Always be careful.😊❤😊😊😊
There are just no words to describe these monuments to the dead! It is compelling, you almost have to see everyone! I was wondering. If the bodies are placed underground, are they considered catacombs as well? Thank you Sue for tryouts and GV visits.
I haven't saw something like this before, a bridge over a cemetery, some those tombs are gorgeous. In love with that first one with the statue inside That water drain remind me of "" IT "" Pennywise
This was so interesting! What an interesting place. The graves under the bridge were something else! That EVP was heard by many of us! So distinct! Please tell me the new channel for you and GV. I subbed and now can’t find or remember it😂. I also don’t see it on either home page. Thanks💕
Lol Liz, that's the problem with new channels, they are hard to find, link on community page for everyone, Paranormal Soulmates youtube.com/@Paranormalsoulmates?si=rU-Xgj2xCBt8iq2r
Hi Sue, just subscribed to your wonderful channel. I just can't get enough of the history that is in a graveyard. Seen a couple of Jewish tombs, with the menorah on the doors. Here in South Africa they have separate graveyards for Christians, Jewish, and Muslim communities, not as beautiful as those in Europe. Graveyards in SA have become dangerous, it's a haven for criminals, such a shame. Thanks again for the video. Cheers.
I mean those Mausoleum under the bridge, very little weathering I think I would also choose under the bridge too. Very different and peaceful even with the bridge noise.😊 thank you. The voice “ that’s her that’s her. “ awesome and clear, wonder what the first said?❤ Portlier, I wonder if this man had a hand in Statue of Liberty?
What a beautiful place! Thank you for pointing out the EVP. I was thoroughly confused by some of the voices I was hearing, and was wondering if you could hear them also! Although sad that some of them are under a bridge, I'd imagine it helps to preserve the monuments. .
@@SerenitySueGraveyards I could imagine wanting to go there, every day, and still not see every grave. Thank you for taking us along. Without people like you, I would never have known this existed! Much love and appreciation from Michigan. 💛
Absolutely beautiful I appreciate what you did and what you do. Did you bring Oliver on the trip. I bet it would have opened his eyes I know he likes going to the cemetery with you and G. Thank you again
Marvelous place. I thought tears on that mausoleum the same time you said it. Aren’t you glad the evp didn’t happen when you were staring at drain inlet ??? 🎈
I looked that up. He is Parisian silversmith, invented an alloy of copper-zinc-nickel and iron; called Alfenide. There are antiques shops selling cutlery manufactured by his factory.
What an amazing cemetery,It looks like a mini city crowded with mini houses,A lot of those graves must have cost a fortune and that EVP was a tad creepy 😶
Daniel Ifla Osiris was a financier and a great philanthropist ( person who donates money to good causes ) of the 19th century who left the largest legacy received by the Pasteur Institute, a French private foundation dedicated to the study of diseases, vaccines and microorganisms.
The glass box with the signatures is the tomb of Michel Berger, a very famous french singer and songs author. He died young infortunately. Pauline is his daughter and France Gall their wife and mother. France was a singer too. She was the winner of Eurovision song contest in 1965.

Are you serious, oh wow, I've never heard of her, thank you
Wow, isn't that cool! What a great piece of trivia for all of us to know! Thank you!
I just googled her story she was an amazing lady during the War keeping her family safe.
Yes I had to Google her too and found it, I think she deserves a video on her, she sure was a great Irish woman and she's buried with her son
I just Googled her. What a story!
What an amazing place ... more like a city than a cemetery... city of the dead ... thank you very much Sue your amazing
Thank you ❤️
Loved this cemetery it's amazing to see all the architecture and elaborate graves

Sue, you come up with the best unique places to visit, incredible mausoleums you dont see this kind of dedication to detail anymore like the 1800's. ⚰
Thank you, I agree with you
Amazing architecture. Thank you for taking us on the walks through the past whether in the Irish countryside or huge cities.

They are so beautiful, never seen anything like them
