I must say Sue I absoloutely love watching you and GV, My last name is Brennan, as Irish as it comes, i wonder where all these Brennans in my ancestry came from and as far as we can see its mainly kilkenny, however I had found so many more ancestors and 6x grandparents in other areas, I absolutely cannot get enough of the Irish accesnt and miss my grandfathers voice as it was always as close to Irish accent as I could get as we migrated to Newfoundland in early 1800's, thnk god for Newfoundland and Ireland ,,,, Erin go braugh !!!!!!!!

G’day Sue these very old cemeteries are a time capsule of history, they famins and wars ect. This one was very interesting you can see who was wealthy and who wasn’t just by the size and quality of the headstones, good to see you both take care and look after yourselves kind regards John P S just a foot note I learnt when I was in nurse training they went into medical history especially in the out back of Australia if you find a hole lot of small crosses they are usually little kids disease would wipe out a lot just from one community. We were told parents didn’t name their kids till they were no longer toddlers. Medicine and medical treatment was in its infancy.

A very lovely headstone to commemorate Mary and baby Rose Levingston. That is a different spelling of that name. I know people here in the states with that spelling. So much history in one graveyard but then Dublin has 1000 years of history. Cathal you peel away that ivy quite well. I should hire you. 😲😲😲😲 hand holding dagger! 🤔 not sure but that crest I've seen on my blood line there were different groups with the Mac or Mc. @9:30 McNallo . the dagger is pointed a different way though. The dagger of my line points straight upward
I'm gonna have to study that a bit.
Do y'all know of Reba? The country singer.

The crest is a Dexter hand in a pale holding a dagger proper. Argyll district western Scotland
      Historic seat Glen noe
Mac an T-saoir meaning son of the carpenter or craftsmen . there's some in glasnevin in Dublin and other places scattered throughout Ireland. Family probably not but could be distant blood. I wouldn't hurt to bring a broom with you to sweep off the gravemarkers so they might be read easier. It's also a show of respect. Should anyone question what you are doing there, you can say that you are helping to maintain the cemetery. Also, ivy, although it looks nice, digs in and destroys anything it grows on.

It’s a shame the community doesn’t get together to tend to these old graveyards and cemeteries
