If you are watching this, file a complaint with the NHTSA. The more complaints the better. I also read there is a class action lawsuit filed for this issue. My truck was fixed under warranty and it has failed again after 1 year and 6k in miles.
Yeah this is insane Ram’s response to this issue. The service bulletin came out in 2020, and they still haven’t fixed this. I will be talking to my lawyer, and most likely looking at an F-350 dually due to total lack of ownership on Ram’s part.
Everyone I talk to that has one of these trucks has the same problem the company that built this unit needs to stand behind it. I love my truck. That’s the only complaint I have about it.
I followed the process you provided but no luck. However, before I put the connector back on I sprayed WD-40 on HCU pins and female connector, waited a few minutes, shook out any excess WD from wire harness and connected it back. I have driven about 30 miles so far and NO ABS LIGHT! There'll probably be comments on how I shouldn't have sprayed the cintacts and what not, but what is there to lose? It either works or it doesn't! So far it's working. It may be only temporary but BIG THANKS for the video!!
Thanks for the video, I am glad it has worked for many. Although it did not work for my 2018 3500. Back story. This happened a couple of years ago and I went in search of the Module, RAM customer service wanted a dealership to diag the problem. (When I had that done, Ram came back and said they would not cover it. I was out of warranty.) The dealer said they could get the part in a few days. Turned out it was on national backorder. I went to another dealership and they assisted me in ordering it. It took 3 weeks to arrive. Fast forward 2 years. I decided to finally install the new one. I was told it was programed to my VIN. Get it installed and as one would fear, I had bells and whistles going off everywhere. Mind you, this is a brand new module from Ram. The truck fired multiple codes, Speed sensor, trailer brake controller, air suspension, ABS and the check engine light and a multitude of other items. At this point I went in search of how to reset the truck and came to this video. I decided to put the old one back on praying I didn't just screw up my truck. I installed the old one, made sure everything was clean and started the truck. ABS lights came on, as I was pulling out of the drive, they went off, I drove it for about 20 minutes. Then went into a store, came back out started the truck and it reappeared. Guess this thing will have to go to the dealer at some point. Who knows. Again, I am thankful this video has helped many!
I had the same issue at 49,000 miles. I went through Ram cares like other people on Reddit told me, I also filed a complaint. Ram cares basically said because I do my own oil changes and fuel filters they would only cover 50%, of which was a $2300 quote. So I told them to kick rocks, I will be trying this very soon. I will let everyone know if it works. Thank you very much for this information. Mine is a 2018, 2500. I would get rid of it after dealing with all this horseshit if it wasn’t the last model full-size truck in a manual.
I just did everything in this video, sprayed both sides of the connector with contact cleaner and so far after 45 minutes of hunting pot holes the codes have not occurred!!!! The dealer said it was the module, but as near as I can tell they never look at this connector! The module is on back order for at least 5 months. Thank you for this video!!!
I suspected this exact cause. A bad connection. Mine is intermittent but will usually happen on a highway drive at some point. I refused to pay the $1600 to replace because I knew it probably would eventually happen again. Dealships no longer troubleshoot issues, they just read a code and replace parts. You are on your own to figure things out yourself. Thank you for this video, it is exactly my issue and now I know it can be fixed with a little effort on my part. However, it looks like something additional needs to be done to better protect this connection from getting dirty again.
Just took my 18’ 3500 Dually in for the exact same issue with 15k miles. No ETA on parts. Dealer told me to pick up truck and advised I not “follow to closely” and that ABS is only needed during hard braking. My lawyer will be drafting a letter tomorrow. $80k yard art. FML 🤦♂️
The connections inside the female plug is 95% of the time the problem. You can pop off the red plate and the back of plug and push every one of those females out and push down a little on the tab inside that female to ensure a tight connection. Just remember to do one at a time. Unplug battery first and push them out with a pick.
I haven’t done this but I found out that this has to be the issue. I wiggled my plug back and fourth and the light/chime would come and go every time I wiggled it (my wife was in the truck) and i could replicate it every time.
So glad I checked for this first. Will try tomorrow. I learned the lesson on my previous Ford F150 when the dealer wanted $600 to replace and repaint the fuel filler door that wouldn't stay shut. Found the video that showed me how to reattach a spring that comes loose and that fixed the problem. 15 minutes and $0.
The issue has not returned. I have driven it every day for almost 2 weeks, zero issues. Previously this issue had been intermittent, but got progressively worse until it became nearly undriveable, the ding/chime and warning lights were constant. But no more.
8/21/23 just picked up my truck from dealer for this same issue. They stated all the AB modules were also recalled and sent back. A new module is ordered for my ruck but again on back order till December -November at best. Dealer stated they are working on recall and all modules replaced so far have been covered under warranty even if warranty is expired.. so I too will try this and see how it works…
Mine started popping up the ABS warning all the sudden. Sometimes it'll go quite a while with no issue, and then itll just go nuts. I suspect either the connector, or possibly a broken solder joint in the module itself. You can get the cover, and connector off without removing the wheel liner, but you don't really have much access to see, or mess with anything. It sucks you can't post pics to the comment section 'cause I'd definitely point out what I find whenever I get the chance to dig into it.
Awesome! I just got that on my '2018 Ram 3500 display saying " Service Electronic Brake System" with only 18,600 miles on it. It went away about as quick as it came on and hasn't come on again today. So I suspect it's the same issue as you have demonstrated. I will pull the sensor off to check for need cleaning. Thank you for the info!!
I had the same problem. Saw TSB from ram to replace HCU and module which I had done. 20k miles later happened again. Found out on CumminsForum the problem is with 17-18 rams. The brushes on the electric motor of the HCU retract and stick. I changed HCU with one from 2015 ram and many miles later still no problem. Others have played with the brushes and also solved the problem. Thought I’d pass it on to save others money and aggravation.
Man thanks. Have the exact same issue with mine, waiting on part for month now, they August now. 20,000 miles on it. I regretted getting the extended warranty, kinda glad did now.
Great we will have to try it. When we took it to the shop they refused to do anything to it. They must have known that it was a problem.thank you again.
Ive been waiting 2 years. Was told back ordered, then they weren’t making it, then back ordered again. I’m 3k miles from the end of my warrenty. The part went bad after 2 months of owning the truck. Outrageous
I just had my 2018 2500 Ram in for service for the 3rd time since purchased in June 2019. Same issue. Once at 5000 miles, another at 21,000 and this last at 33,000. This last time I was told I'd have to pay for the repair and brake bleed to the tune of @$1400. Plus the part was on backorder until Aug of 23. I said I don't think so! I was still 6 months from having two years since the last HDU was installed. I've had two modules and two controllers replaced total during the three visits. This last time the HDU that was replaced with an AB. Now both the module and controller match with AB part numbers. I did have to get Ram involved though because of the failure of the dealer to honor the two year parts guarantee (was 18 months) and as soon as they got on the line with the dealer, stuff started rolling. I just picked the truck up last friday. NO CHARGE! So far, so good. No lights, messages, bells or whistles. Yet I still have no confidence! Love the truck, but the inherent, never ending issues with this system have me shellshocked! My hats off to RamCare though, and this is not a paid advertisement!
Hi Robert, hope the 3rd one works, I’m working on replacing the first one benn living with the chime sound for 3 months. Emailed Dodge HQ asking for help and a recall. They say if enough of us ask it will get done.
@@bobrainey9907 Here's what I was told at the last caution. The third time. The service advisor told me to Call RamCare (ran by a company called Stellantis I believe) and tell the person that answers the phone that you want to open a case. They will take your information and assign you a rep to work with you to get things fixed. My Rep was excellent. They worked with a difficult service chain of command at the dealer to get the ordered partr on the right priority so they could prioritize the shipping. Changed a 5 month backordered part wait to 5-6 days. But the key is RAmCare...tell the person that answers you want to open a case....and it flowed like butter from there on, for me anyways. So far, so good! My fingers are still crossed though....Gun shy! Having it happen 3 times before anybody helps, is ridiculous!! Oh yeah and have documentation. Dates, times, responses from all. Good luck
On my 3rd ABS/HCU modules. Ramcare sucks and lied that if I paid for the Oct 2023 repair I would get reimbursed- aahhh sorry Charlie out of warranty. Filed complaint with NSHTA, AG of MO and MI- waiting on responses. Final is small claims court- you should see their slogans on how the build each and every truck perfectly. BS- they will be dogged until I am in the ground- great way to treat a lifetime 14 Ram, Dodge owner. So much for loyalty. The war is on- out $ 1400 and hundreds b of hours dealing with this POS.
Since this video is 8 months old, I am curious if your problem has returned. I too have this intermittent issue and dealer quoted me $2400 to fix and couldn't guarantee the problem would be fixed past a 30 day shop warranty. I am thinking the use of contact cleaner and di-electric grease may be very useful in this connector too!
Outstanding video. Thank you for sharing. Your dealer told you pretty much exactly what my dealer told me. I filled a complaint with the NHSTA today, but with the looming government shutdown, who knows?
MY BROTHER......THANK YOU!!!!!!! Great video!. (This started happening after I pulled toy hauler in desert to ride dirt bikes). It started out intermittent (GD Buzzer OMG) then went full blown.(Again after toy hauler was in Utah desert) So recently I tore out my dash, connected my Code Reader (Chassis Module behind stereo). Code reader basically said to replace HCU test and if that didn't work test blah blah). I will will be cleaning my connector tonight. I am almost certain it will do the trick.
Ram has a problem with their electrical connections. My back up camera quite working and it was the connector in the tailgate. Clean it with contact cleaner and it has been working ever since. I very hopeful that cleaning the connector will fix the breaks also. This is the second time that I have had this issue. the fist time it was under warranty.
Sometimes pulling off the whole piece where the connector goes to and putting a gasket on it helps. It’s just bare plastic held to the module with hex screws
I just found your video, I placed a video on youtube to see if anyone else is having the same issues. Glad you have fixed yours, the dinging while driving is driving me crazy, also how liable is RAM for us to be driving around trucks without ABS to help stop if we need to in an emergency. You never know if the thing is working or showing a warning sign.
@@871jamie lucky you. Lots of people have had this issue. I’m still dealing with this issue. Extremely frustrating given that the dealer is saying the HCU is on engineering back order and can not get a new one
@@heatonext honestly my dad is having the issue with his 1500 right now and they told him the same thing. His is 9 years old though with 135,000 miles. I’m a former master auto tech so I’ll probably wind up fixing it for him. Going to look at the connector this weekend if I have time.
Mine was intermittent, it appeared when I went over a rough road. I just pulled the connector off and reseated it. I drove over the road that flashed the light on before, so far so good. Guess we will see if its a long term fix.
Excellent video and suggestion for repair. I had the same problem and completed what you recommended and it fixed the problem. Thanks for saving me $2000. Keep up the good work.
this didn't work for me after I cleaned and reseated the rectangle canon plug 3 times. I also didnt have to remove the tire or well tub to reseat the plu. I had the wife monitor while I tapped on the HCU and module and then the light went out. Im guessing I have to remove and disassemble the module from the HCU to see if that fixes
My truck has already had 2 sets already. 1st 7700 miles 2nd 77000 miles now 3rd 137000 miles and 3200 are on back order from the stealership like you said it's on back order indefinitely
Thank you! Ours just started coming on. And not all the time. Just intermittently. But yeah…driving down the road and that irritating bing bing bing….so we will give it a shot. Thank you.
Have you tested if the problem has been definitively resolved? because in my truck sometimes the problem go away for a couple miles and then comes back
I’m having the same issue. Intermittent service ABS/Traction Control lights. Ironically I just made the final payment on it about 3 days ago. 2018 Ram 3500 w/104k miles. My girlfriends 2011 GMC Yukon literally just had same light come on during our trip home from TN. Hers ended up being a wheel bearing gone bad which chewed up the ABS/Speed sensor. Shit happens in pairs in my life 🤦♂️
Ram needs to issue a recall for this issue. My 2018 Ram 3500 goes on/off when I hit bumps but not consistently. Sometimes it will ding and go off and on down a smooth road, other times it doesn't come on at all, very frustrating.
Same with my 2018 2500, definitely doesn’t seem like a total unit failure in my opinion cause sometimes I can drive hours without the light on and sometimes it doesn’t ever go off
@@paytonwolfe6683, There are a lot of people that are just living with this issue rather than face the cost of the repair which is over a grand. However, it would be a recall if they were all reported. Texas has a lawsuit on it now
@@bobrainey9907 ram has redesigned the the part, supposedly they are distributing them out now, but class action suits have been filed. They dont tell you that it can fail in the rain or if you slam on your brakes! I gueess they're waiting on someone to die
So funny story, i was doing ky shocks when i first bought my ram a couple months ago, being in the north east we have rust n salt. So i could not get the top bolt off the shock so i hit it with the grinder. The grinder pinch and i cut a rear brakeline right at that abs deal. I put a union in and fixed it but shortly after this abs nonsense started and its flashing like its loose. Gonna try this fix cause its driving me nuts.
I have a 2022 Ram 2500 diesel w/ just 10k miles & both lights came ON as I left my driveway. Can't believe this issue is still plaguing these trucks 😢. Just submitted NHTSA complaint
Have same issue 2018 ram 3500 g56 4x4 with almost 14k miles. Original owner. Intermittent comes on and off. Been told same thing about backorder from Dealership.
I have a 2021 ram 1500 limited with eco boost diesel,55k miles and had to send in for pinion bearing replacement. They did a so called computer update recall but not the high pressure fuel pump. Drove in with no probs n now they telling me my ABS module needs to be replaced and my ABS is out of warranty. drove in fine now they want to charge me 900 for ABS module replacement. Maybe a good cleaning will help. I have a lot more sensors, service: ABS, 4x4, Cruis control, traction control....n so on. I can drive it but I gotta truly drive it!!
Mine went out on me when my truck was under warranty. They repaired it but a year later it was back on again. I took it all apart and thoroughly cleaned it and had the same problem. Looks like I'll just keep driving with the ABS & Traction Control lights on. I'd never pay to have that useless crap repaired a second time.
@@jaysonsaxon hey man, turns out it’s just my brakes that need replacing. Because the code came back like 3 times after and it hasn’t came back since. Then after realizing the code would only appear after i braked hard or hit a bump hard while braking. Hopefully it’s the same thing for you. Another thing i did was bleed it and I LUCKILY found someone locally who also works full time at a mechanic shop to re pressure my abs module.
I have a 2018 3500 SRW. The two lights came on today. I will definitely try this fix. Thanks for your information. Question: While this remedy keeps the lights and chimes from activating, does it fix the ABS problem? Or do you still need to order and replace the HCU?
Im having the same issue with my 2018 power wagon. i seen a post where a person trouble shot it down to the exact pin and pulled the pin out of the connector and pinched it slightly to fix the problem. I been waiting for warmer weather to look into this. Im not sure how he knew which abs sensor line was causing the trouble. I connected an OBDII reader but it will not tell me which wheel is causing the error. Im going to try what you did and see what happens. Thanks for your video.
It didnt help mine. But i still believe the connector is the problem not the module. Mine is intermittent problem. It usually only happens when i hit a bump, it goes on or off.
I just checked all of my pins and it didn't help. Had this same thing happen back in 2021 and I replaced both HCU and ABS Module as that's what seemed to be the most recommended - firmly believe it's a wiring issue with how intermittent the lights are. Hopefully Ram will eat the cost if I do need to replace both units again (2018 Ram 2500)
I have the foxwell scanner and i can look at each wheel sensor while im driving to see which one isnt working properly. All four of them are reading properly even when this damn dinging is going on so i know its not a wheel sensor. Tomorrow i will be taking the front left wheel off and the fenderwell out and try this process. On my truck, because of this problem, it has deactivated the four wheel drive and the cruise control. It has also deactivated the traction control and electronic breaking system for my trailer that I pull. I was also quoted a price $1600 by dodge with a 6 month back order for the parts.
The code I am getting is: abs pump motor control general electrical failure So this code is telling me that its not the abs pump or module. Instead Im thinking its either a fuse or relay but now after seeing this video Im going to try this next. Im going to clean it out with break cleaner and check the pins for corrosion. If I see any corrosion then I will clean it off with an emery board or something similar and see what happens. In the video I didnt see any kind of sealing around the plug to keep moisture and dust/dirt out. I will problably put dielectric grease on all the pins to prevent any more corrosion from occurring.
I have had the same problem FOREVER. Imdeffinatly gonna do this!!! Iv been half tempted to put a piece of tape over the abs light and remove the dinger. If my truck hits a leaf in the road that damn thing comes on.. is this fix still working for you?
Got caught in a nasty thunderstorm today some decent standing water. No issues during the drive. Went out again later in the day and the dash was lit up. Im figuring it got soaked. Gonna rip in it tomorrow and see what happens
This problem just started on my 2018 truck and it’s when I hit rocks or rumble strips on the road. It’s happened 2 times so far and I’m hoping this fixes it because I bought the truck used hoping it would last me a while and now I’m finding out how many problems these trucks have.
“how many problems these trucks have”? 352,184.6 miles as I type this and never had an issue with mine. Some minor sensor stuff a thousand miles ago but nothing major. I simply had to clean the map sensor and that was all.
My brake light, abs and traction control light stay on constantly and never go off no dinging I wonder if I have the same problem since mine never goes off
Great video, I have had this problem for the last several years now, so I tried this method you showed in this video, I used WD-40 electronic cleaner on the plug and the lights and dinging have stopped. I will see how long it lasts. Thanks
I did everything that was said on this video it didn’t work for me. But I saw another video on here and the guy took off the electric motor and repaired it. I did the same thing without taking off the whole abs module only the electric motor. It’s the brushes in the motor that’s not moving the way they need to. I’ve been using my truck with no abs codes since I repaired the electric abs motor. It’s been almost 2 weeks.
14 RAM Hemi Long Horn 256k Mile......recently the errors popped up & I tied resetting do you need to do anything? I tried it & it didn't work....I suspect a wheel bearing issue....
@@danprachar6129 I watched another video where a guy took apart the small motor attached to that and cleaned it out. I have read that it is those plastic pin in the middle push things, I've read it's actual rivets. I have the exact same ABS/Electronic Braking warning light issue everyone is talking about on my 2017 Ram 2500 PowerWagon.

I have a 2018 2500 and have the same problem. I only have 26k miles on it and it was repaired once under warranty. It has gone bad again in 10k miles. Mopar parts only have a 2-year warranty and it is just past the 2-year mark.
I tried blowing it out with electronic cleaner like the video. Didn’t resolve it but did cut down with the light and dinging a hundred times a day. Now the light usually stays on without the audible sound.
I live in Mexico, the same thing with my truck, the dealership repair quote is 1700 usd (converted) but, they tell me that they have cleaned it already.
Could this throw my TC only light to come on? Mine randomly came on one day along with the service electronic braking message been on since. No ABS light is on either
Phonetic alphabet, Master Caution, depress the pedal 🤔 you must be an A&P 😅 Thx for the info I'll be checking my connector for debris. Just got my ecam, single chime warning today.
Lol people acting like abs is the magic cure all and is absolutely needed to stop. Only in panic mode it prevents the tires from locking up. Drove many vehicles that never had abs..
The purpose of ABS is so people don't have to learn to stop their vehicle straight and without swapping ends. Especially in wet conditions. It in no way makes you stop quicker. Mine has been out for about 8 months and the only thing that I am upset over is the cruise control is inop and the lights on the dash are aggravating. Towing trailers with surge brakes can be an issue at times because if a truck wheel hits a washboard area of the road it will set off the ABS partially releasing the brakes and at the same time releasing the surge brake making the problem worse.
Just as everyone else, yes my truck is doing the same thing and has been since last winter. It initially started dealer took my money for the part. He finally gave it back to me after 8 months because there's no designated parts from the factory at this time. I have had the MCU off and check that connection twice. I will try the WD-40. Thank you! Does anyone know how to turn the chime off? I might be able to survive a couple more months or years if it would stop chiming.

I wiggled my plug back and fourth and the light/chime would come and go every time I wiggled it (my wife was in the truck) and i could replicate it every time.
Loose electrical connector and RAM won’t cover it
Pathetic company
So glad I checked for this first. Will try tomorrow. I learned the lesson on my previous Ford F150 when the dealer wanted $600 to replace and repaint the fuel filler door that wouldn't stay shut. Found the video that showed me how to reattach a spring that comes loose and that fixed the problem. 15 minutes and $0.
The issue has not returned. I have driven it every day for almost 2 weeks, zero issues. Previously this issue had been intermittent, but got progressively worse until it became nearly undriveable, the ding/chime and warning lights were constant. But no more.
Can I get to the part without taking off the wheel. Or does the wheel have to come off??
Still working?
Still working? Probably not I bet it came back
8/21/23 just picked up my truck from dealer for this same issue. They stated all the AB modules were also recalled and sent back. A new module is ordered for my ruck but again on back order till December -November at best. Dealer stated they are working on recall and all modules replaced so far have been covered under warranty even if warranty is expired.. so I too will try this and see how it works…
Wow that's interesting. Where are you. In FL? I guess I should try to call my local dealer...
Outrageous
Thank you, bro! Mine hasn't got to the point of every brake push. But the symptom started last month.
I had this dash light appear on my Promaster van. Your fix worked! Thank you. Weird but many thanks!
I’m having the same issue.. absolutely drives me insane. Worst part is not having cruise control!
I’m having same issue. Going to try this today.
Things get old and fail with time and mileage. The manufacturer can’t control that. 352,191 miles on mine and never an issue.
@@871jamie lucky you. Lots of people have had this issue. I’m still dealing with this issue. Extremely frustrating given that the dealer is saying the HCU is on engineering back order and can not get a new one

Mine was intermittent, it appeared when I went over a rough road. I just pulled the connector off and reseated it. I drove over the road that flashed the light on before, so far so good. Guess we will see if its a long term fix.
Excellent video, thank you! I have the same problem on my truck. Is your repair still working?
Excellent video and suggestion for repair. I had the same problem and completed what you recommended and it fixed the problem. Thanks for saving me $2000. Keep up the good work.
Still good?
OMG thank you my roads around are dirt now I thought it was a dirty sensor problem just didn’t know where to look.
this didn't work for me after I cleaned and reseated the rectangle canon plug 3 times. I also didnt have to remove the tire or well tub to reseat the plu. I had the wife monitor while I tapped on the HCU and module and then the light went out. Im guessing I have to remove and disassemble the module from the HCU to see if that fixes
2018 Ram 3500 G56 here. Same problem. Thx!
Shit happens in pairs in my life 🤦♂️
I’ve had the exact same problem. I’m definitely goin to try this out. Thanks for sharing the info.
I pulled my plug an it looks clean... dodge needs to recall this issue
Ram needs to issue a recall for this issue. My 2018 Ram 3500 goes on/off when I hit bumps but not consistently. Sometimes it will ding and go off and on down a smooth road, other times it doesn't come on at all, very frustrating.
I am having the same issue on my 2018 Ram 3500..

THANKS ! Ill try that. I have a 2017 RAM with 6.4 that has the same problem.
Have you had any luck i have the same truck year & model ?
Just did this on my 2017 ram 6.4 cleaned with electronic cleaner & still popped up
Everytime i hit the brakes on park it pops or when i hit a bump ? Any recommendations
I have a 2016 Ram 3500 Dully 7.7 Cummings. Is this possible fix the same?
Mine ABS/ESC light came on after installed the leveling kit. Tried this trick, didn't help at all.
For those that have done this, does it work for long? I just filed a complaint with nhts.
Man, I have been fighting this same issue for months with my 1500 4x4, I was also told close to the same quote for repair. So thanks for the tip.
Did i fix it? I have a C2200 code on my 13 ram 1500 5.7. Which is internal abs module failure. So I’m on the edge about what to do.

Question: While this remedy keeps the lights and chimes from activating, does it fix the ABS problem? Or do you still need to order and replace the HCU?
Did it work for you?
BTW I have a 2018 3500
The code I am getting is: abs pump motor control general electrical failure So this code is telling me that its not the abs pump or module.
Any luck?
Going to try that on my 2017 1500
Got caught in a nasty thunderstorm today some decent standing water. No issues during the drive. Went out again later in the day and the dash was lit up. Im figuring it got soaked. Gonna rip in it tomorrow and see what happens
Welp it fucking worked! So far so good put about 50 miles on it. Im a hot minute away from trading it in on a gmc at this point
This problem just started on my 2018 truck and it’s when I hit rocks or rumble strips on the road. It’s happened 2 times so far and I’m hoping this fixes it because I bought the truck used hoping it would last me a while and now I’m finding out how many problems these trucks have.
Same
“how many problems these trucks have”? 352,184.6 miles as I type this and never had an issue with mine. Some minor sensor stuff a thousand miles ago but nothing major. I simply had to clean the map sensor and that was all.
biggest pos I've ever owned. Great drivetrain, but the rest of the truck is hot garbage
My brake light, abs and traction control light stay on constantly and never go off no dinging I wonder if I have the same problem since mine never goes off
When it was acting up was it causing a vibration in the driver side floor?
That's a wheel hub/bearing issue which also has a abs wheel speed sensor in it. Test for bad hub, if it is wheel speed sensor comes with new hub.

I did everything that was said on this video it didn’t work for me. But I saw another video on here and the guy took off the electric motor and repaired it. Sadly this did not work for me. Reading around the web the issue is the motor on the pump. Poor design
Did it ever come back on after your solution ?
Does this still work?
