Judahs Garage love the way it came out.i was wondering where you bought the patriot blue paint you used and what size can it was.
I honestly would rather hear the clunking of taking a car apart than just random stock music soundtrack over the top, it's a pity everyone feels like they HAVE to put music over everything.
The paint you mixed with it to tint. Was it automotive paint?

I would have thought that you 'd done two coats - maybe you did, but it turned out really nice. I liked the blue panels and the black bumper, both done in Raptor - looks great. Thanks for sharing.

@@judahfindley Forget the music when you're talking. It's just a distraction.
It's a heat temperature or thermostat for the battery to tells the ECM if the battery is getting too hot from being overcharged.
I raptor lined my TJ a year ago and its held up great. Looks great too i used a finer spray gun and it hid all the imperfections. Also when i get it muddy I just go to the self wash and use that foam brush to scrub it down.
What kinda spray gun did you use?
Also how many gallons did it take??

You should’ve just sprayed the fenders and bumpers blue to be a little different but looks awesome man might do this to mine 🤘🏽

i dont think its layers as much as it not being mixed as well as it should be. The original color of the bed liner comes out white before being tinted.

@@judahfindley I think it has something to do with the alternator charging the battery. If the battery gets too hot it stops charging so that it doesn't explode. I'm just repeating what a jeep guy told me when I bought my TJ :)

man that thing came out very zebra stripe big time
work hard i see almost every bed liner paint job is like that...i plasti dipped my truck and it came out descent i want to bed liner it now being that it’s more durable but every paint job i see it’s zebra stripped when sun hits it...I’m guessing it’s the gun that comes with the paint kit instead of using a paint gun to get wider and wetter coats ?

I just received my Raptor Liner kit today. I'm thinking of forgoing the crappy gun that came with it. I can't see any way to even create a fan pattern with it. It's just a completely round nozzle. No wonder so many Raptor Liner jobs here on TH-cam end up looking like this one--like it came out of a rattle can. I may try my Wagner airless sprayer with this stuff. I think that might work well.

I followed your link to the kit. It's black. How do you factory color match exactly. I see kits with pre-determined colors, I also see tinable. My 98 TJ is Deep Amethyest Pearl. I dont want to lose such a unique color. Is it simply ordering the paint code from U-pol?
I have a 97 and found paintscratch.com for my paint to tint the raptor liner and it was dead on. My paint code was/is PCJ(Dark Montego Blue Pearl) which is some what rare from what i understand. Anyway it matches perfectly I also went to a body shop and asked how much tint to use per bottle of Raptor liner and was told 2 to 3 oz. I used 2.5oz per bottle and the color was dead on. Hope this helps not trying to plug a company at all, just help a fellow Jeeper!

Nope . Only between the black and blue . But your going to want to clean it once your done spraying for the day .

what PSI did you regulate the gun to?
Hammerdown Motorsports no regulator . I spray it at whatever psi. Most important thing js to keep a consistent distance
Do your remember the color code you used to have that color mixed? Or was this a raptor liner color they sell.
How did the raptor liner hold up long term? Considering putting the raptor liner in my boat and I wonder if it will oxidize over time?
it is a sensor to make sure you have the right battery and it senses the weight of the battery

Did you have a filter and pressure regulator on your air system? I notice some zebra striping on the hood and I'm about to do this and want to try to avoid it. cool thing is probably a respray is easy.
Hey, did the job come out kind of tiger striped on the hood? I'm seriously considering doing this to my Yukon but it's so much large flat surfaces that I would be pissed if the color isn't uniform.

Nice work (that colour looks good) - I customised my X5 and finished it with raptor (youtube X5 offroad beast - it's a little slide show), gets more attention at car shows than anything else there - will be doing more projects in the future.

You need a pint for every 4 cans of liner . Also make sure to get the paint with no binder. Only tint
