Lol.....lieutenant Dan was a great man. Marvin is lucky to even be mentioned in the same sentence. Thanks for the support comment. It's always a good time with Marvin in the shop
Thank-you for the kind word and support. The truck was alot of fun and it most def gave it a whole new look. I'll see what Marvin's availability looks like in the future. Maybe I just need to grow my hair out, put on some glasses, learn his accent and I wonder if anyone would know the difference. He def is one cool cat
Good job! I did my 02 avalanche in charcoal grey raptor liner but i used rustoleum charcoal grey for the tint it worked out great! I always spray raptor at 60 psi for a smoother finish 10 feet away it looks like paint 😂.
I used 80 grit. A gray automotive scotch Brite pad will do the trick too. I used the 80 grit because that's what I had for my DA at the time. Thank you for the support and interest in the videos
I havent a clue who did that side. I lost the footage of that portion and it seems to have just sort of came together.....lol Marvin seems to just come and go. Hard fella to get ahold of
Great video guys, looking to do this to my 91 Silverado and I have a couple of questions. 1. what kind of foam tape did you use, I looked on Amazon and there is a boat load of different types. 2. Do you feel like 8 cans was enough or would you have used more if this was your personal rig? The Raptor site calls for 16 liters for a truck this size. 3. lastly, the camera really doesn't do it justice, but how well can you see the metallic in the liner? Thanks again. Great job!
Thanks for the comment and support. I'll see if I can load a snapshot of what I use. It's good and sticky. I would go with 12L if you can find a kit that provides that. I've done enough to not have a lot of waste and know pretty well how it lays. But def go with 12L. I wouldn't think anymore than that, if you're just doing the body. The metallic is there, but its not crazy shiny or as noticeable as you would see in a paint job. The texture doesn't allow it to shine as much, but its def there. Hope all this helps. I think you're going to like how it turns out. Good luck .....couldn't load a picture, but it called Smooth Edge Masking Tape, by J-TAPE
Very cool, thanks for the info, I'm going to be doing a metallic silver and metallic gun metal combo but I also want to do the fender wells and such. So I will just get two 8l kits. Been watching every vid I can to get this all down. Won't be doing it till next spring. Found the tape. Thanks again.@@vintagetincustoms
It's a spray on liner and I wash it like any other vehicle. It's not a rough texture. Thanks for the comment and support. Check out the newer videos; I'd love to hear your feedback
I think all the painting and graffiti I've done years ago will give me a huge head start for starting to do this for my boss's. Painting in tunnels used to turn my boogers the main color I was spraying that day. How's the lungs 🫁?
Guess there's a fine line between too much yappin and not enough yappin. Maybe I'll figure it out here one day. Until then.....keep watching and see if it gets better. This video is way old
This guy is the real deal. Hilarious and very informative videos. Well done. Great job
Thank you very much for the comment and support. I'll do my best to keep the content coming. Much appreciated
Marvin looks like Lieutenant Dan. 😅
Lol.....lieutenant Dan was a great man. Marvin is lucky to even be mentioned in the same sentence. Thanks for the support comment. It's always a good time with Marvin in the shop
You did a great job! You made it look simple, but I bet it was a lot of work! It really makes it look like a new truck.Oh! And more Marvin! Lol
Love it!!! More Marvin, more Marvin, more Marvin!!!! 😂
More to come!
It looks so good man!
Thank you for the comment and feedback. These raptor liner products are really good products when prepped correctly. Thanks again
There's a Marvin in every workshop. Can't do without them. Need more Marvin's. Marvin for POTUS!!!!!
All truth. They're the ones that make going to work everyday interesting
He's got my vote !!!
I like the way you did the bed rails!
Thanks brother. It was def a fun project. We need to get together and build something too. Im sure the videos would be a hit

Wow, that's pretty far and high. Sounds like alot of over spray. Thanks for the comment
@vintagetincustoms I don't spray from 10 feet away 😆
I interpreted the comment as spraying from 10’, too. 😊
@bassin_uce3732 lol...I didn't think so, but i was going off the comment. I'm thinking 10 inches is more like it.
Great job. I need to do that to my Jeep
Def do it. Comes out hella cool and overall an easy process.
Hopefully you're staying warm out there
@@vintagetincustoms it’s -16 today. Brrrrrrrr🥶
Nice work I loved 🙏🇺🇸👍👋
Thank you for the comment and support
I'm doing the same thing to my roof . Painting on a vinyl top with bed liner
This product comes out great. I bet it's going toblool pretty sweet
I dont know man, there are so many blotchy areas. You wwnt to do a dust coat at the end to blend everything together. Good luck on future projects!
Thanks for the feed back. I really think the camera didn't help that out. In person it's seamless.
Nice project. Cousin Marvin rules! More Marvin. I think the paint fumes are getting to him though. Ba ha ha
Lol.. ain't that the truth. He seems to always be around. Def hard to get rid of him.
Loved your video. I plan on spraying my jeep commander. What grit sandpaper did you use to rough up paint?
I used 80 grit. A gray automotive scotch Brite pad will do the trick too. I used the 80 grit because that's what I had for my DA at the time.
Thank you for the support and interest in the videos
Looks awesome! Who painted the passenger side? More Marvin, more Marvin. 😂
I havent a clue who did that side. I lost the footage of that portion and it seems to have just sort of came together.....lol
Marvin seems to just come and go. Hard fella to get ahold of

Will this be good for extreme winter weather?
Also could I do white color bedliner?
I'm not 100% positive on the color choices, but I do know when I lived in North Dakota, this was the only product I used and it never had any issues
Man that came out nice what reducer did you use I was thinking of doing my son's 91 jeep
Any medium reducer will be work
Thanks for the info like I said looks awesome
I there. 2 questions. Is this a linex coating you have done? And, how do you wash this ? Thank in advance for your answers.
It's a spray on liner and I wash it like any other vehicle. It's not a rough texture. Thanks for the comment and support. Check out the newer videos; I'd love to hear your feedback
Marvin said to say it’s cool
Lol..... that Marvin guy is a bad influence.
Like how that looks for sure, How much does it cost to do a project like that, What would y’all charge for something similar?
Thanks for the comment and support. This one had alot of bodywork and a few new parts that went into it. $2k is a close ballpark.
500$ if you do it yourself or less a 8 bottle kit is $420 and will do most vehicles
Def right on that. This one was 12 bottles.
@@vintagetincustoms hell yeah some extra coats or something how many coats in total
This one was around $1500, but it need some bodywork and parts.
I think all the painting and graffiti I've done years ago will give me a huge head start for starting to do this for my boss's. Painting in tunnels used to turn my boogers the main color I was spraying that day. How's the lungs 🫁?
Lungs are hanging in there. There's really not alot of fumes with this like paint and clears.
What grit sanding paper did you use?
That's an 80 grit
How difficult is it to put the emblems on after the liner is sprayed?
There was new emblems installed for this project. 3M emblems hold great
@@vintagetincustoms Thank you.
How can I contact you.id like the same job done to my truck
Shoot the shop an email at vintagetincustoms@yahoo.com with all your details and I'll reach out.
Thanks for the comment and support
Would you paint my car that same paint bedliner?
Bring it on out to PA and it's a done deal
How much was the cost for the customer
A little over $1k
Too much yappin 🗣️🗣️

Less nonsense and repeating yourself.....
Will. Do. Sometimes I just like to make sure the point get across. Thanks for the feedback
