I'm mostly upset nobody was commenting about how creepy it was for con attendees to be taking photos of people's actual children and posting them online without consent to prove a point in a fetish gear debate. That disgusted me the most; people can talk about the moral compass of fetish gear without photographing children man.
Let me offer my opinion as someone who's been in the ABDL scene longer than Furry (and I've been a furry for almost 30 years!) A diaper, worn as a prop, over a fursuit, is no different than any other prop you see on a fursuit, even if they are kink-adjacent. Collars, harnesses, latex, speedos, jocks, hell even shoes. You name it, someone has a kink for it. However wearing a diaper without anything covering it, WITHOUT the fursuit is going too far. At that point it goes from being kink-adjacent to just being kink. And that is going too far. I have the same view on pup hoods - wearing them as a furry accessory, maybe along with a tail or somesuch is just fine. But when you are wearing nothing but the hood, a harness, and shorts, you are going too far. And I agree. If we allow pup hoods, latex suits, spandex, or other similar things, we should allow other kink-adjacent props in conspace even if they are from "fringe" kinks. (And I put fringe in quotation marks because if you look at the statistics, Babyfurs make up a HUGE portion of the Furry Fandom.)
Honestly if it’s an adult con, I think it’s fine. But one with kids, the rules should be strict. I’ve seen con videos, where the con was meant for kids, and the dealers den had some NSFW stuff despite not being in the 18+ area. Sometimes it’ll be hard to tell if it’s “too far” so it’s better to just draw one strict line. If it’s meant for kink wear, if it’s predominantly kink wear, if it’s known for kink wear, it’s not for kids. It shouldn’t be allowed.
I think once you start showing alot of skin close to privates it's gonna naturally be uncomfortable and shouldn't be allowed, like underwear esque amount is not enough coverage imo. But a diaper OVER a fursuit isn't that upsetting to me. I'm more uncomfortable with just someone in a straight up diaper, no pants or shorts on underneath. That kinda hits a bit too close to "underwear only" territory. And the only reason that's uncomfortable is because you can't know if they have underwear on or not in it and that leads into the issue's of scat and peeing kinks. We already know some people WILL leave that stuff all over conventions because we've already seen it happen and be reported on. Imo diapers are fine if something is visible underneath it like pants or shorts. A whole fursuit? That sounds pretty covered to me lol.
Unless it's filled with poop and pee, I don't care. Is it a little weird? Sure. But this is a big NOTHINGBURGER. People are super mad about the dumbest things.
This is completely a non-issue. People need to realize that there is a difference between respectfully displaying kinks in public and being sexually inappropriate in public. Wearing a completely dry diaper over one's fursuit at a con is perfectly respectful to other con goers and staff. Sure, ABDL can be a very odd interest in other people's eyes, but just because someone doesn't like it, or knows what typically goes on behind closed doors with the kink, does not mean it has to be completely hidden from everyone else at all times no matter what. Please don't make kinks into a "don't ask don't tell" policy at cons guys. Also with regards to children at con, I don't think I've seen a con that is explicitly supposed to be child friendly, furry or otherwise. Cons are very much for adults (and perhaps older teens at the youngest), so much of the attendees are adults expecting to hang out with other adults, even if what they are doing is "family friendly." So I don't know why people are shocked that adult interests are openly shared in a respectful manner at cons like these since that's a huge part as to why many of these cons even exist in the first place. If the con allows children to attend, just know that these children are still basically entering an adult space that is likely to have some adult interests shared, most likely not in an explicit enough way so the child will still be ignorant to the full meaning of them, but they still have a high likelihood of being seen by all con goers including children.
I did not see anything wrong with it, but can understand why some might find it not. I saw it as an accessory to their fursuit. I recently went to a comic con an there was a cosplayer with her entire ass cheeks exposed with kids around and that is more offensive.
I think as long as the Diaper is Worn OVER Something like A Fursuit it’s ok. Same with Harnesses and Latex, As long as no actual intimate body parts are exposed I think it’s fine.
I would venture to guess that cosplayer broke the rules of the con too, since anime cons tend to have pretty clear rules about what parts of the body need to be covered.
We live in such a snowflake society that the new microwave I just got has a freakin' automatic child safety lock that cannot be disabled. You know, so the poor babies don't burn themselves with hot microwave food. It's sad to me that a community that supposedly puts acceptance first would make such a big deal out of something that, at the end of the day, hurts nobody. Now, I agree, wearing kink/fetish attire purely as kink/fetish attire is pushing beyond the NC17 barrier, but, when used as a prop/accessory, is utterly harmless. I've seen people walking around conspace in full latex bodysuits with matching hoods, and nobody is fazed by it. Collars, and leashes, and harnesses, oh my! Nobody bats an eye. Why should this be any different?
I want 100% agree with you diapers on fursuits are pretty much what you kind of would see at like a basketball game when mascots wear a diaper for those baby races or for a diaper Drive charity where people donate diapers for those mothers in need or for like a Halloween event and the the general public never seems to be bothered by that
That’s because they think Mascots > Furries. They are fine with Mascots doing it, but when A Fursuiter does it they think it’s disgusting… Even though Mascot Costumes and Fursuits are practically the same thing.
@@JoltJackelope exactly fursuits and mascots are the the same the only difference is fursuits are custom while mascot suits are for basketballs football and amusement parks let's not forget them
Considering it's on the outside, clean, and not showing signs of contact on skin, I'm indifferent. No different than suits with harnesses on them or other accessories that are also used in kink scenarios. If it was soiled or exposed under the suit, then that would be a no go.
The rainforest guy wasnt just hanging in diaper because he wanted to be got push out and locked out of his room at the con and con staff had him stay their why they figured out what to do
The fact the diaper was worn over a fursuit tells me there's no plans to use it. Is it a bit offputting, sure. But is it wrong? Eh, I find it more silly than disturbing. The fact no actual skin is against the diaper makes me feel more comfortable about it
I completely agree. It’s just clothing at the end of the day. It’s much ado about nothing. I do wonder if this is this much controversy in Europe or if it’s just an issue in the Americas and the British colonies.
Oh no! Its not in the suit? Thus calling attention to the possibility that some fursuiters do wear kink gear under their suits? That no one likes to talk about? *Say it ain't so!* Honestly..... it can be so much worse
It's as disgusting as seeing pup masks or body harnesses, by which i mean to say that it's not disgusting. It's awkward at worst, it's not like they are sh1tting themselves lmao
Not a fan of it, but I don't see a big deal when it's used as a character prop. When it comes to it being a sanitation and or indecent exposure issue, I'm sure that could be the line drawn for it.
I Guess As Long As it’s Worn OVER The Fursuit It’s Ok. But If Someone Is Wearing A Diaper With NO Pants on, So Their Butt Cheeks are Exposed, Yes that is disturbing and shouldn’t be allowed.
I agree with your point. Like you wouldn’t wear bear undies in public with nothing on. It’s more worse if there is a fully grown adult in a diaper separating the privates from exposure.
Even though I don't like ABDL, I'm not going to judge whomever for being into it. It's really none of my business, and at the end of the day that person is a consenting adult in an activity full of consenting adults.
I don’t have an issue with diapered fursuits. So long as it’s just for costume purposes or maybe medical reasons of course. I support most aspects of the furry fandom, so long as they keep things SFW when in public places, usually where kids are present. But what you do behind closed doors or adult themed gatherings is not my business.
As someone that wears a pet suit at a convention as a bodysuit I’d feel like I’m virtue signalling if I disagree with having diapers or pup hoods at con spaces. As that it might be as part of the character they made. And even though I have a pet suit as part of my suit for a non fetish reason I might add. But you know if you find anyone that have any objections about a diaper or even a military uniform worn over a fursuit, maybe it’s advisable to educate the person about your character you are portraying as or if you are a silent suiter, maybe your handler could explain about the character they are handling. And even with pup hoods, I don’t really see them as always a fetish as nowadays, I see them as like a Fursuit alternative. As it’s elitism to think otherwise. Not saying that pup hoods can’t be used as fetish.
Thank you for the thought out video, and I definitely share your opinions regarding this specific subject. As long as the diapers are over fursuits or part of full body costumes, I don't see the problem.
Is it offensive? No. Is it crossing the line? Personally, no, but I can see how some people might think it's going a little too far. And honestly, cons have bigger issues to worry about. Somebody wearing a diaper outside of their fursuit isn't one of them, providing the person in question isn't a MAP. And the fandom seems to have selective outrage when it comes to kids. That's all I'm going to say.
I don't see anything wrong with it, it's not showing anything and they have an entire fursuit on under it. Plus, I feel like the person who took the photo has never been to a furcon before considering I've seen even more borderline things than this, especially at the raves. I also feel like most of the con is fine with it considering the ABDL community within the fandom is way bigger than people think. At FWA, they held a panel for ABDL's and if I'm not mistaken, there was about 600 or something people that attempted to show. They had to turn away 50%+ of the line becuase the hotel was being an ass with Fire Marshall rules, and the hotel staff HATED the furries being there.
Seriously, this is more tame then the other fursuits I've seen across the internet. Probably because it is linked to baby furs, which can be controversial in the fandom.
This is why pup hoods where banned for the majority of my 20+ years of being a furry at fur cons. People will just keep pushing the line until you have people running around in BDSM kink gear like that in public areas. You have to set the line somewhere and say this is the line and you are not to cross it.

I got soe comment I am kink shaming... but yeah, publically walking around in diapers is sick.
Here’s my negative thoughts (its a furry convention so at the end of the day it is what it is):
- Diapers are for creatures who “lack bowel control.” From my outside perspective that's usually the stronger connotation than being a baby.
- I’m sure there are creative and less crotch oriented/semi-nude designs to communicate yourselves with. Like a lollipop or a rattle or something…
- Even in a fursuit, I think seeing a bulgy jock strap, a puphood, then some guy in nothing but a diaper can cross some wires. (Even though it’s not like that, contextually this does not mix well with the child/excrement theme!)
- I think a giant baby with props and stuff would be an awesome one-off costume but when it takes the shape of a publicly facing community, entirely selfishly, I think the never-ending battle of having to explain furries as “not inherently a sex thing” takes on some really ugly tones that I don't want to have to talk someone through
I see Lerks has decided to take up gatekeeping fursuits in Odin Wolf's absence.
Gatekeeping? I don’t see it. You must have missed the part where he said he was giving his ‘opinion’.
@@champotter8490 It's joke; the title made it seem like Lerks was going to tell people that they were shouldn't wear diapers over their fursuits, much like Odin Wolf had an irritating compulsion to make videos on fursuits he didn't like where he told people their fursuits shouldn't exist and/or shouldn't be allowed.
I was going to ask if you'd watched the video or were just reacting to the title? There are things I'm not into, but I don't think gatekeeping is a reasonable way to regulate what is or is not allowed.
@@RLFurryProductions Again, it was a joke.
It's gross end of story
i think you are gross, should you get banned from conventions too?
Its weird and I wouldn't interact with someone like that tbh. 🫥🫥
