Hey Jasmine :) Cis guy here, I saw Choice. too right after the election outcome and I cried for hours afterwards seeing both younger and older trans people expressing their fears and hopes and disillusionment and blind faith that things will get better because they have to. Trans rights and expression are being stripped away every day, all over the world. I'm from the UK and a bill banning puberty blockers for trans kids has been passed recently. We may not be able to do much about this politically, but we can choose to live, and we can choose to love. We have to keep choosing to love. You, as a trans person, and as someone who does not fit into what is seen as "normal" or "mainstream" (in other words, *queer*), must keep living and loving. Not every day must be lived well, or be used productively. You don't need to be strong, or brave, or heroic every day but you must live, and you must love. I want to see a smile on the face of every trans person, of every queer person, of every marginalised person who falls outside what others deem "normal" one day. That day will come. I have to believe that. I hope I can convince others to believe this too. I can't possibly believe otherwise, even if everything screams at me the contrary. Thanks for this video. Love the thumbnail!
You have no idea how much that means, that a cis guy can learn about and have empathy for marginalized groups such as the Trans community. Thank you so much!
Hey, I've got your video in my recommandation, Sylveon thumbnail got me I was curious hehe As a French Trans girl, me and a lot of my friends (who happen to be like 70% transpeoples) are super worried for the trans community and the lgbtqia+ in general with the next US President. We're hopping for you, and from the bottom of our hearts we love you and we care about you ! I hope you can be safe and keep slaying like a queen ! Kiss from France !
@mashmalow7072 thank you! The French are completely welcome here! I don't mind a bit more Latin in my life. Thank you for being here! Stay strong fellow queen!
Apparently, like many others, this was recommended out of nowhere. I just wanted to say that I really admire you for making this video. Nobody should have to hide who they are, and it's fucking awesome to hear you express yourself about this, even in the midst of the insane political hatred for queer and trans communities. I'm agender myself, but I can't present as I wish because I lack the courage to do so with my current living arrangement. That's all going to change in the coming months, because I'm moving in with my amazing non-binary partner. I'm so excited to feel that freedom. I wish you (and the rest of these lovely commenters) the best, Jasmine!
CONGRATULATIONS ON COMING OUT!!! I have no idea who you are but this video was put on my timeline, and I just wanted to say as someone who has been transitioning for nearly 5 years, it will get better! The time flies, and you'll be seeing yourself before long The world is a scary place right now for the average joe, let alone folks like you, me, or other minority groups. All you can do is help yourself, help the people around you, and do your best. We are a strong community and we need to do our best to look out for one another, especially these next few years. If ever you end up in australia, you have a friend here
hey, this video got reccomended to me even though I don't follow you, but I too am a trans girl who likes cubing and I guess the algorithm was like well what do you know. anyway. thanks for your truth and your bravery and for speaking out
I really hear the fear in your voice and I relate a lot to it. it can be scary saying “i am trans” for the first time, even to yourself, let alone to thousands of people on the internet. I have a lot of anxiety, and current events sure don’t help, but even so I’ve grown a lot more comfortable with myself over time. I won’t tell you things are going to get better, we both know that’s not true, but even so we will make it through this. Much love from a red state trans fur 🩷🩵🤍
I don't have much to say, but as a furry and queer person, congrats on coming out! And I think its really brave of you to do it online, in front of all of these people.
It's so nice this video gets traction. I am not trans but I am so proud of you. You and anyone who sees this comment, no matter if you are an egg, cis, trans, furry, scaily, gay, lesbian, non-binary, gender fluid, have ADHD, autism, cancer, any other illness, are on aroace spectrum, fat, thin, "normal and healthy" by society standards, I am proud of you. You've been through a lot and you keep on persisting and that is already a huge thing. No matter what, keep on living and remember YOU ARE A PERSON.
hi jasmine!! i dont usually comment on videos but i feel like it was important with this one. im a transmasc teen who has been really struggling both with my identity and the reality of my situation. i could not have come across this video at a better time. thank you so much for making this. you gave an interesting perspective on that being trans is in a way a first amendment right, and honestly i didnt think of that before, but it gives me some hope. we as a community are so much stronger together. again, thank you. i know how much confidence it must have taken to post this and thats such an admirable quality. p.s. your rubiks cube skills are out of this world
I've never seen your channel before (nor do I watch much cubing on youtube) but I saw this show up on my homepage. I'm also transfem, and I could hear (and relate to) a lot of emotion in your voice. I know it took a lot of strength to be able to say this, to come out publicly, especially right now. I've never found a more accepting and understanding community than the trans community, so just know that there are always going to be people out there who will have your back, including me. You are amazing, and valid, and it's so amazing to see you be able to be yourself and not back down even in the face of all that is in front of us. And I really hope you don't get hate for this, but even if you do just remember that the transphobes will not win in the end
Thank you for coming out. There is strength in numbers. We will persevere and we will continue to fight for our rights alongside our allies. (I also got this video recommended to me. Hopefully you'll get more viewers and you can keep putting out content.)
hey jasmine!! first off congrats on coming out!!!! i think ur name is rly pretty :D despite being in the northeastern us in a very blue state i am also terrified for not only my future as a trans woman but the futures of so many of my friends and my gf, as most of the people i know and talk to are also trans, and damn near all the rest are at least somewhere in the lgbtqia+ community election night my gf and i broke down crying as the reality set in, it just didnt seem real, hell it still doesnt quite feel real but the best we can do is to stay strong and support eachother the best we can through these hard times, we will get eachother through this!! if not for ourselves, we will stay for those who love and care for and support us!!! hell, even just to spite these horrible people who want us to disappear, we will find a reason to keep fighting, and we will make it through sending hugs ur way!!! stay strong girlie we got this :3
absolutelyyyy times will be tough but we all gotta be as strong as we can to make it through!! and believe me love has a habit of showing up when u least expect it, ik this from experience!! u will find a special someone im sure :3
I hope things turn out well for you. Never doubt the validity of who you are if someone else is telling you to. You define yourself, no one else does. And remember, you don’t have to lift the entire world to be happy. Things are difficult and will be difficult, but there will be moments where it gets a little easier. Bit by bit, things can and will get better. Hope. Always hope. And if you want to put that hope into action in some small way, do so by all means, hope moves forward only with action. We will see the sun rise on a brighter future. Even if that takes a while to get to.
Everyone, no matter what they are have to remember one simple thing: You were loved, you are loved and you will be loved. ❤ Every human deserves love. Every human deserves rights. Every human deserves life.
Hi Jasmine, German aroace trans girl here who just got this video randomly (welp, not so random considering im trans) recommend. I dont know who you are, but Im glad you found yourself and are willing to fight for it, despite what feels like everyone working against us.
There are too many amazing things going on in this video. From the awesome 2x2 skill to the fantastic nail polish to the very nicely distracting yellow and purple dice to the beautiful speech being made.
Like everyone else I was randomly recommended this. I know nothing about Rubik's Cubes (I think that's what that is?) but I'm regardless super happy for you and I commend your bravery for coming out. I'm transfem and this video hit me really close to home, especially since I'm a Floridian and things are rough down here. I wish you the best of luck on your journey, and not matter how hard it may get you should always persevere until the very end!
Feel you on how hard it can be to say. I'm 41, and it took my sister in law arranging a video call, to tell my parents who I KNEW would be accepting. Telling anyone I've known for a long time, nm an online platform, is hard, regardless of age. Yeah all you can do is plan what you can in advance, support from others, stock up on meds, make desired changes asap etc. Have an idea for worst case, depending on likelihood of problems by state, and go from there. In person connections are more critical than ever.
Hey Jasmine! I've never watched your channel before but I immediately subbed since i want to support a Trans person! I myself am Non-Binary and have a TransFem sister and she's one of the most amazing people I've ever met. Be yourself, never change because someone told you to do so. I hope everything goes well for you.
Hi, didn't feel like watching through since I don't want to feel any more anxious about all of this than I already do, so instead I just read through the transcript. Hope you and others can find some peace and safety, and to everyone, please keep in mind that the storm will not last forever. Times will pass no matter what happens, and even if things don't get better, you will still be able to get better by becoming better accustomed to new circumstances as they arrive. Even if you are put into the lowest of possible lows, it can still always be weathered, and someday there will come a time where things improve. If you want to try to improve the situation, remember that it can be daunting for a reason, and that at times the best thing you can do is help yourself and those around you. And plus, there has been and always will be more to life than struggling to make it as a trans person. There are many things to take solace in, especially the fact that power doesn't benefit from dead people. Sure, it may boost their rep among some extremists, but the value that you and others hold for those who make big decisions will always be worth more than the goodwill of the fear-riddled and hateful. So keep hanging in there!
I've been worried about this year, well, the next 4 years, as I'm another transfem person. It will be tough, but this year we must stand for our rights, and the rights of those in worse places than us. Thank you for sending your message out, and letting everyone know we are here, and we will not take these injustices
It's nice to see a fellow transfemme cuber, it seems very very rare in this community unfortunately. I'm not from the US but the situation there seems scary, stay safe.
i was recommended this video through the algorithm but what your saying is exactly what needs to be heard. am trans girl who lives in america and though what is happening does scare me this, what your saying is what we need. thx for the video. and for anyone who needs to hear this: it will get better. keep fighting. and do not be quiet b/c thats what they want. speak up and remember your loved.
First time seeing this seeing this channel, hope you find a great place for yourself with great people to keep you company. Also Jasmine is a great name, I used it for my Calico in Monster Hunter :# kind regards from Poland
it’s nice that you add on the fact that you’re a person, most of the “criticism” i hear against identities in our communities is straight up dehumanization. as someone’s who’s also trans but also has trouble being perceived, i support humanizing and supporting the overall community when there has been so much pushback and negativity against it. thank you for making us more visible
We have a responsibility to survive, for the ones who came before us, and for the ones who will come after us. We will not let future generations grow up without trans elders to look up to.
Thank you Jasmine, thank you for speaking out. I am trans femme, i appreciate you, you are a force for positive change and i love you for being yourself
hihi, just stumbled upon this video and don't know you but. congrats on coming out, jasmine! thats a tough thing to do, especially right now. and welcome to the community! i want to say there are lots of people willing to help and support us, and i really hope you find them. we're gonna get through this, okay? i think its most important we take care of ourselves and our communities. hope you continue to find joy and never stop being who you are.
I lost hope after the election. I'm starting to get it back but it's tough. The hope I have now is not coming from institutions, it's coming from other queer and trans folk. It's coming from people like you talking about this despite what's coming. I see that and it gives me hope that the fight is still worth it, and that we can't be silenced. ETA: i don't know shit about cubing but you look really cool doing it
Happy to support you any way I can, this video is doing really well - congrats on the new audience! And I resonate with you, and wish you safety and prosperity
Fellow tgirl here, even if I don't live in America I can feel the despair in the air for all my trans friends who live there. But no matter what, I will do what I can to help fight with yall. We shouldn't have to fight to exist, but as long as we're there for each other, we can help each other out. I love you and hope you and all my other fellow tgirl friends are safe. Also damn girl, you're really talented with that rubix cube!
We are living in an age of spite. Politicians and online influencers are readily taking advantage of and speading it, the mainstream is seemingly blind to it, and marginalized communities are on the receiving end. I hope the best for all of you out there.
it sucks how all this spite is all in benefit of some billionaires who don’t think twice about humanity or the environment. trans rights are human rights 4 ever
Today when we go through history with our modern lens we always see moments of discrimination in the 30s or genocides like the holocaust as tragedies, and because of hindsight we see that the claims of oppressors are always baseless and full of shit, and because of that modern generation know that we’re all just people and know when to spot this type of behavior when it happens. So even if the worst happens it will be okay and we will live on.
I got this video around the new year when I was (and still am) questioning my gender as well as getting into cubing. The TH-cam algorithm has sure honed on to me. BTW, who was the Choice video by, I can’t seem to find it on youtube
@qqwui9989 I dunno. I think it might have gotten taken off. It's basically just about trump winning a few years ago (pre current election) and the laws they were trying to enforce. It was an inspiration to me to make this though, so if you find it, it's great!
much love to you, Hello From the random Trans algorithm. yes you are a Human you are a person, you are living, breathing, bleeding, Human being who has to the right to be free and your self no matter what anyone says. even if there are those out there who think cause they feel weird about out you or me or anyone about there gender, you are you and you are loved for being your whole self. Every Little Star Has a Reason to Shine.
Your sibs will stand with you. It's scary but the best protest we can do some times is to keep living. Pride isn't supposed to be easy, pride is a riot. We can fight if we do it together 🏳️⚧️💙🩷🤍
good for you I now this couldn't have been a easy video to make I've recently started to question my own gender identity granted I'm Canadian so things aren't quite as hard at least for now but still its scary enough just trying to figure things out I can only imagine how much worse it must be for you I might not know where exactly i fit into the LGBTQ+ community just yet but regardless you have my full support and please stay safe
Hii Jasmine 🩷 Trans girl cuber here 🏳️⚧️ though definitely not as good as you lol. Your room is just a vibe. The dice on the left, the stickers on your stack timer and the mess behind you with the skewb, megaminx and other cubes and cube related stuff. Also love the color of your nail polish, girl.
@CDAcuber2009 btw, what video exactly were you talking about in the beginning? Just the title being "choice" isn't enough for me to find it. I want to watch it too. Thanks
I’ve been on hormones for three months after waiting the best part of a decade for them. I keep taking my patches off the lasts week or so, I found out a few weeks ago at my gic blood test the FFS isn’t available in the uk and I think I’m just done. Straw that broke the camel’s back. I don’t have any reinforcements. It’s just me for two years now.
Feel kinda bad for my sister tho since she's omniromantic and I'm her closest (and favorite) older brother who's trans and we're both therians and she's a furry and trump gets inaugurated on her birthday :(
Since my replies on my own comment keep getting sent to the void I'm just going to make a comment about this. I'm still new to the whole like LGBT stuff and I'm still learning so if I come off as rude I am sorry I don't mean to be I grew up into a small town and I am still learning how to be like nice and not offend people
Hell yeah! Thank you for speaking, Jasmine. We will not be erased, we will not be eliminated! 🩵🩷🤍🩷🩵 Sending love and solidarity from unceded Algonquin territory.

Hiya Jasmine. I along with many others as it seems, got this video randomly recommended to me. I commend your bravery to come out and speak up now when things are so scary, but this is when we need to show ourselves the most, showing that despite all their effort to suppress us we will always remain. As a fellow transfem I thank you and stand by your side even though I don't live in the US. We've gotten through tough times before as a community, so we'll get through this as a community this time as well. Stay strong and remember: "Existence is resistance" 🏳⚧🏳🌈❤ (Also I put on "But the earth refused to die" while watching this and holy hell, it was the most empowered I had felt ever)
@nahual7x62 government is trying to enforce laws stating that transgender people must stay with the identity the were born with and just general hate (there are hundreds of stories of young trans people getting k*lled by bullies)
1. Project 2025 in it's entirety pretty much calls for the removal of trans healthcare in general, along with the chance to legally transition and such. This is namely an issue, because transitioning both medically and legally is very much something that can solve issues for trans people in general, such as dysphory, or "passing" you call it. 2. It will also affect gay marriage, which is well...Yeah practically taking away rights from trans people too. Please remember this, each and every right that is taken away from trans people is simultaniously taken away from YOU too. Like, you are legally allowed to do the same things trans people do, no one gets extra rights or shit, these are all rights that apply to you too.
Our spirits will remain strong even in the face of adversity, as ceramite protects our bodies, our faith in ourselves will protect our souls as the God emperor wills, stay strong sister and may your future be one of happiness and joyousness. So long as we fight for basic rights it is a fight that we will win! 🫡🏳️⚧️ (Ps. You're braver than any space marine I've met)

Thank you for being here. I welcome you to the channel friend.
Not all over the world! Germany passed laws a long while ago that make changing your legal gender a lot easier!

We have quite a lot in common. Solidarity will keep us alive.
I've been worried about this year, well, the next 4 years, as I'm another transfem person.
It will be tough, but this year we must stand for our rights, and the rights of those in worse places than us.
Thank you for sending your message out, and letting everyone know we are here, and we will not take these injustices
@@skyeline9228 I am here to stand strong. Comfort the hurt. And I welcome all who are so much as a kind spirit.

it’s nice that you add on the fact that you’re a person, most of the “criticism” i hear against identities in our communities is straight up dehumanization. as someone’s who’s also trans but also has trouble being perceived, i support humanizing and supporting the overall community when there has been so much pushback and negativity against it. thank you for making us more visible

We are living in an age of spite. Politicians and online influencers are readily taking advantage of and speading it, the mainstream is seemingly blind to it, and marginalized communities are on the receiving end. I hope the best for all of you out there.

Could you give some examples of what specific laws or restrictions are threatening trans people with the new administration?
@nahual7x62 government is trying to enforce laws stating that transgender people must stay with the identity the were born with and just general hate (there are hundreds of stories of young trans people getting k*lled by bullies)
@CDAcuber2009 I knew there was hate but I think it was that bad
