Eh my husband and i kind of see this as a private thing for ourselves. We know his parents will judge So we keep it on the downlow whenever they're around. But happily they live 4 hours away so the only times they actually visit is during the holidays.

You're entitled to have privacy and a private life that is outside of what your co-workers know and use to evaluate your performance, and how they decide how much compensation you deserve. Many out-and-out furries are highly skilled in a techological niche where they will be highly paid however coworkers feel about them because so few others can do the work. Most jobs, and I hate to say it, you will be compensated based the personal scale and discretion of whoever is doing the paying- and it's fact weirdoes get paid less. There have been a couple projects I was involved with at work that afterwards despite doing more overtime work and being the main driver/organizer, I was paid a smaller share the guys helping me out- I confronted my manager about it and she told me "you don't need it, they're married and have families. sorry." I made it clear I wouldn't be taking the lead or responsibilities in the future on extra work if I wasn't going to be recognized for it, and that turned out to be the beginning of the end for me at that company. The random person with their random biases who is supposed to be paying you for the work you do does not need to know anything about your private life, they should be concerned with the quality of your work alone.

I'm kind of in the middle between "closeted" and "deal with it". I'm in a group with whom I meet on a regular basis (about every 1-2 months). I am building an Insta, though I can't produce yet without my suit (just gave the comm a few days ago) and many, though not all of my friends know. My family, my colleagues and all other people, who haven't been mentioned of my daily life, don't know. I'm just selectively open.

We have your perspective of how you feel about letting people see your involved in this, but how does Ryv feel about letting anyone know that he's a fursuiter and does he have issues about it at all? Perhaps have him make a video like this to explain it all?

I can add myself to the list as well. Not that I’ve been in one of those chats, but you know, 33 years old and never done it. it feels like you’re left out on the other side. Just like you said, I’m not an incel. I don’t feel the necessity to do it. I only share NSFW art with people I trust and feel a connection with. The rest is just some jokes in group chats, but they’re not as “top-heavy” as what you describe in your video. I hope that this year I can get into a relationship that would be more than enough (I don't need the rest of it). Funny enough, some people are even willing to help me.

Ive worn fursuits around parents and relatives, in public parades, to company halloween parties, and charity events. A picture of me in suit with freinds and a con badge hung over my desk at work. A picture of me in fursuit with coworkers made the corporate newsletter. Some people have found out about details of my personal life and health issues and judged me for it. But I did nothing wrong. Im far too honest to not live my life as my true self

Well at school, I looked up pictures of mascot costumes in my spare time and really, I didn’t know any furries at the time and I was closeted because I’m autistic and as is, I was bullied as such at school and I didn’t want a bigger target on my back for ridicule. But you know what? I became open and I’m like “I’m here, I’m a furry, get used to it”. Now if I were that plumber, I would assume that you work as a mascot so really, it’s not that much as something to hide as unwritten rule of trade is if you are in someone’s house, you never openly discuss about it to your co workers.

I can vouch for it being a small town! Good story, I am sure he didn’t give it a second thought! But I get wanting to keep it on the down low!

When I take time off to go to cons, I just don't tell anyone it's a furry con but rather just a con. Anime and others, I'll tell, but not fur cons I go to. Awesome story and job. Love it all the way. for me i tend to keep it a little hush hush at my job but a few co workers do know and are very cool with it. i'm also the kind of guy who fursuits, if my job finds out so what, some might look at me weird but they already do now so it's no real professional loss in my book lol

i have 2 things to say bout this video (they are both nice things :3) 1) as a babyfur, this would just be considered comfy :3 if you think about it they could work well in the real world. if you're busy driving a car, flying a plane, cooking and cant leave the food unattended, in the middle of an online match. But ye wearing them way after childhood does take a bit of time to get used to 2) very cool guitars in the background! Would be awesome to see some vids of you two playing some epic songs with them! :3

BRO WHAT???? Damn that sounds awful!!! My first like, 8 cons, it became kind of a joke that leaving every con was miserable. Missed flights, friends bailing out at the last minute leaving me stranded at airports. Can sympathize with you!!! Its much better when it's LEAVING the con rather than getting there, because then it doesn't sour your experience at all

You should come to Vancoufur fur con in Canada it from March 6th till 9th 2025 and the theme is pirates and in 2023 at Vancoufur we had to evacuate out of the hotel where the con was because someone called about a bomb threat and the police and swat was there but it was a prank call for someone in the USA and everyone was fine this was in March it was still cold and it was about 2 hours before we could continue with the con but stuff was change with the events and times because we lost time. I was scared but I handled it i never been to a con and that happened it was a 1st for me
